About Dr. Marylu Czulewicz
I manage to meet all of my guests to welcome them to Seven Oaks located in Buckingham Florida. Buckingham is an old historical area of Fort Myers embracing the Orange River, where they once drove cattle during the civil war. Ed and I purchased Seven Oaks in 1980 and would not live any where else. The area is dotted with old historical farm houses where things stay the same. Wake up at home at Seven oaks. Seven Oaks is nestled on the banks of the Orange River with nature at it's best. Cozy little gateway while exploring the Orange River that has been around since before the Egyptians...
Dr. Marylu Czulewicz purchased this Cottage in 1995
Why Dr. Marylu Czulewicz chose Ft Myers
Lots of history, going back to the Civil War. manatee, alligators, all kinds of birds, and if you are a camera buff you will love to capture wild life at it's best. Throw back to old FLorida! Relaxing, quaint and like a fairy tale if you love the outdoors
MaryLu and Eddie are wonderful! To wake up and see a beautiful white horse from the kitchen window making coffee from a great coffee pot and listening to birds chirp with windows all around is the best way to start anyone's day!
It was private yet MaryLu and Eddie were right next door along with their cool dogs is ever you should need them. I felt like it was a combo of old Florida and Gone with the Wind with the spanish moss swaying in the breeze in the huge oak trees. I took long walks on Orange Loop Road by the fiull moon at night just listening to the sounds of the evening and enjoying the peace. You have wi fi if ya want it but life is better there without it! I enjoyed kayaking the Orange River right from their deck. Now THAT was an amazing way to spend the afternoon and never having to get in my car!
I was a woman traveling alone and I loved the safe feeling the cabin and the nearness of MaryLu and Eddie out in the country.
I love the outdoors, the heat of Florida and I hate AC. I loved the fact that the windows all have screens, a ceiling fan and the breezes will blow from all directions with so many windows. If you like luxury hotels then this is not your best bet but it had everything I could ever need including a full sized bathroom and the most adorable kitchen I have ever seen.
I hope to return for sure!
Thank you for your kind words. You are right we are not a 5 star hotel with room service we are better. I am looking out my window and see Quintus our Irish wolfhound escorting sweet miss Bella our Paso fino horse to join us for breakfast. Our little piece of heaven is complete. Thank you Connie you were a delight sharing our world. We would love to see you again tango on and stay safe as your mama would say.
We enjoyed our stay so much. Perfect for two. Cabin is equipped with everything you need. Loved waking up to the sound of birds. Such nice hosts we felt right at home.
SEVEN OAKS IS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE
WE TRY VERY HARD TO TREAT OUR GUESTS ROYALLY. The Orange river is the icing on the cake. We are close to everything yet we have that special uniqueness with old Florida at your fingertips. Thank you for your gift of kindness . Perfect guests.
A little slice of heaven.
What a wonderful little hide a way on the Orange River with gracious host. The perfect place to reconnect with nature yet still close enough to enjoy a spring training game or two. Wish we could have stayed longer!
there is a heaven on earth and it is Seven Oaks on the Orange river in Buckingham Fl. So glad you had a good time. Ed and I feel so blessed to have people like you cross our path and enjoy our world.
A great place to stay in SW Florida
7 Oaks is terrific place to stay in the Ft Myers area. The Buckingham Rural Preserve is an island of sanity in this otherwise densely populated and traffic-crazy section of Florida. The Orange River in right outside and the traffic and congestion of Lee County are held at bay. Marylu and Ed are great hosts on their small rural property. The cottage is simple and perfectly adequate for a couple. It isn't the Ritz Carlton, but who needs that anyway!
Thank you for your kind words. Ed and I try very hard to make our guests feel welcomed and special. We love sharing our world with all our guests. The magic and wonder of Seven Oaks is truly heaven on earth. Thank you Chuck and Ann for being so kind to our baby Mighty Quintus he will always remember you , you can take that to the bank...stay blessed and safe
The perfect place in Florida to enjoy nature and relax.
A quaint cottage along a lazy river surrounded by a variety of plants and trees. A tree lined driveway with a barn to the left ads to the serenity.
My Husband and I pride ourselves in treating our guests royally. The cottage was built in 2017 with all the comforts of home plus your own private pool, the use of Kayaks and Canoes to investigate the lazy Orange River that dates back to the Egyptians. The history of the Orange is interesting and wonderous. This is a taste of the old Florida with giant oak canopies that drape over the cottage and the smell of honeysuckles from the Orange trees. Thank you Ginger and Sandy for being such great guests. Please come back one day so you can see Mighty Quintus as an adult Wolfhound. And thank you for being so kind to him, he loved all your attention. Ed & Marylu
Quiet, real Florida
It was great to come back to the real Florida after a day exploring the beaches and baseball. Very cozy and comfortable. And close to everything in Southwest Florida.
Ed and I would like to extend our gratitude and humble thank you to Susan and Jeff. They were the perfect guest. Hope we see them again.
