Charming barn conversion cottage in a beautiful, quiet and rural location

Bedrooms 3
Space 861 sq. ft.
Property type barn
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

3 Bedroom barn conversion in idyllic rural setting

The barn, a former farm building, has been rebuilt and recently converted into an attractive, comfortable holiday cottage and offers a well-equipped kitchen dining room with oak beams and a stone wall, a comfortable sitting room, bedroom (with large double bed) and shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two attic bedrooms: one double and one twin, and a further shower room. The property forms one side of a range of agricultural buildings in what was the old farmyard. This yard is now an attractive courtyard garden, with lawn area and table and chairs for al fresco dining. The courtyard is adjacent to the owners’ listed home. Many miles of open country and woodland of The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surround the property. The area is ideal for walking riding and biking and although quiet and rural enjoys easy access to Westcott village, and the historic market town of Dorking. With easy access by train to London, and good road access to the South of England and coast, the property is ideal as a base visiting this part of England.

Lovely cosy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights while attending a family wedding. the cottage was really warm and cosy,

which was really great as the weather was not good. Nicky greeted us on arrival, she showed us around and left a very nice cake, which went down very well with a cup of tea.We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to visit this part of Surry.

This is the best value in Surrey! "The Holiday" in real life

  • 5 of 5

I am a avid traveler of Europe and this was my first visit to the UK. This cottage is truly a fantastic get away to the charming Surrey countryside! The setting is a remarkable view of rolling hills and farmlands. I was greeted with a beautiful morning bird song serenade each morning. There was plenty of room for my 3 children 14/11/9. Every thing was on hand, even a few Disney and Holiday DVD movies for the children. Rooms, linens, and kitchen sufficient and very well equipped, Books galore. Yes it is small and the upper levels are low ceilings, but this is a cozy cottage, not the Royal Residence. Needed nothing other than food and drink to make our getaway complete. My family and I will be back for sure.

Beautiful home in the countryside

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a most amazing three nights. Our family felt right at home in this cozy barn conversion. From the baked treats awaiting us upon arrival to the gorgeous sunset our first night, we loved every moment. The kitchen contains every tool a chef could want or need, the bedrooms were ideally laid out, the location and ease of getting to London was terrific, and we had such a memorable time. Will return again and recommend to all our friends and family. Thank you!

Very clean and well equiped

  • 4 of 5

We used the barn as a base for a family wedding in Dorking. It was very good although the two upstairs bedrooms are somewhat restricted for head height.

Excellent Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cottage from the scrumptious homemade cake in the welcome pack, to the lovely location, very clean and tidy cottage with lots of little extras (like a few toys and puzzles for the kids). Beds are VERY comfortable but do be wary of the sloping ceilings :D :D, these do add to the character mind. Both hosts lovely and nothing too much trouble. Will definately stay again if back in the area.
