Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We have spent 2 weekends here this summer and we love it! This is the perfect get away for our family of four. It has nice kitchen and clean private bedrooms and a loft and crib for the kids. Close to the marina, downtown and public beach but feels secluded and is surrounded by pine trees. We'll be back for ski season. Thanks guys!!

Great Getaway Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely time in this cottage! This was only 3 blocks from downtown McCall. Clean and comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy a stay in the woods! It was just my husband and I, but this would accomodate two couples easily or a family of 4-6. The owners have a great selection of books in the bookcase, along with DVDs, but with all the walking/biking trails and the lake, we didn't get to sit and read. Maybe next time we can stay longer.

Fun little cabin...but the mapped location on VRBO is wrong!

  • 3 of 5

Overall, we had a good stay. Internet was down all over McCall, so no fault to the owners that we had no wifi (and I never told them about it since we heard so many other people were having the same problem). I was disappointed that the home was East of Davis Lane...when we booked it the map on VRBO showed it about two blocks west, which was the main factor in our decision to book the location. Our 4-year-old son LOVED having the loft as his own space and the yard to play in. Disappointed in the cleanliness - it looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in quite a while and there were a lot of carpenter ants in the home. Loved the sunroom and the access from the outside in - the view from the back two bedrooms was beautiful with all the trees. Super quiet street. Would be a great spot to the east of the home for a fire pit, but no outdoor fires were allowed. Bummer. After staying there and comparing it to other properties we've stayed at versus the cost, I do feel like we overpaid for what we got (we come every year for 1-2 weeks around the same time). Oh well.

What a treat! Cozy, comfy, cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here with our toddler for a great, crisp spring weekend. It was a quiet street and a very clean and relaxing place. There was plenty of space for all of us (and more), and it was a lot more comfortable and convenient than a hotel room. We could cook our own meals and be on our schedule. The little guy loved the short walk to the lake to throw rocks in the morning and I couldn't believe how close it was to everything without being on a busy street. The loft was a fun place to play (with a little library and toys, too) and the kitchen was well-stocked and open. Lots of little perks make it homey--cute curtains, nice fireplace, cozy bedroom, great bathtub, etc. We'd absolutely stay here again--if we can get a reservation. They seem to fill up fast!

Cozy rustic cabin

  • 4 of 5

The stay was 2 nights but met our needs. Prepare to split wood and shovel out path to wood pile around back of cabin. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms/bedrooms full of linens and towels and shampoo etc. Wall heaters work great and wood stove heats up the main part of cabin well.

Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher. A family or 2 couples would fit fine here. Wish we could have found: matches, trash bags, cork screw.

Other than that, we had a great stay and hope to come back this summer! (tons of deer around too) :)

Awesome little get away

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. It cost the same as staying at a hotel, but you get way more privacy. It was spacious, the fireplace was convenient, and we saw 2 deer. We were surprised at how close it was to the water. It only took a couple of minutes to walk down to the water, and a couple more minutes we were in downtown. We walked mostly everywhere beside taking a bike ride to the park. We would definitely stay here again.
