4 Double bedrooms - 3 en suite set in a beautiful village location

A perfect rental for those looking to experience the real Spain. Set an hour inland from the coast, the villa is easily accessible from Malaga, Seville and Granada airports. Ronda, Cordoba and Antequera are all less than an hours drive away.

A luxury villa with all modern facilities including a private pool, only a five minute stroll from the local shops, cafe bars and a lovely village restaurant. There is an 5 x 10m private and totally secluded swimming pool to the rear of the villa. This is manually cleaned twice weekly. There are 8 sun loungers, chairs and a parasol for use by the pool.

There are extensive tiled terraces to the front, side and rear of the property that have tables, chairs and a built-in gas and charcoal BBQ. The terrace and the rear and side of the villa are covered.

There is a lounge/diner with TV and DVD player, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

There is unlimited broadband at the villa. It provides full English TV with access to most International Free Tv such as German, Italian, French etc.

Beding and towels are provided but not beach towels.

Why Jon & Robyn Hughes chose Estepa Area

We wanted a property away from the cosmopolitan Spain and inland so we could experience Spain. We wanted a property that was easy to access from the airports and central to the main cities of Anadalucia.

What makes this villa unique

The village of Lora De Estepa is a thriving village with a restaurant and several bars that serve tapas at lunchtime and the evenings. There are two small grocery shops, a hardware store, a library, a fishmongers and other small shops.

Like staying in a five star hotel

My husband and I loved this place, we took our grandchildren with us for a holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was brilliant, the kids loved it, and where the property is completely walled in, you know the kids are safe at all times. We're hoping to go again later this year for an adults break with some friends.

Fijn huis met een centrale ligging

Ruim huis met fijne buitenruimte. Overdekte terrassen, diverse zitjes en een ruim zwembad. De beheerder van het huis is een vriendelijke, zeer behulpzame man.

A most apt name

A villa of dreams! This is the third year that we have rented villas in Andalucía. The first was located in Jimena de la Frontera, the next in Albuñuelas and this year this dream house in Lora de Estepa.

This house and its location with respect to the easy going village of Lora de Estepa is by far the best choice our family group (5 adults) have enjoyed thusfar in this marvellous region. A short easy drive up from Malaga airport brought us quickly to the village with the property just on outskirts (8 mins walking distance to main square). We had previously been supplied with a raft of pertinent and practical information on the various features of the property by its owner Jon Hughes, with whom we had a number of pleasurable communications over the period leading up to our stay. On our arrival we were met by the amiable Carlos and his wife Maria Teresa (Mayte) who live and work locally and act as stewards on behalf of the owners. Carlos gives a tour of the property, its features and answers any a questions in detail. All five adults and new granddaughter comprising our family group, immediately settled into various rooms and panoramically well located verandas distributed about the property – the pool area and facilities here are great and we loved the BBQ sited on the main veranda.

Parking is within the grounds of the property just off a quiet access road. The larger town of Estepa lies a few minutes drive up the A92 and two large supermarkets Mercadona and Dia are readily accessible on town outskirts.

The villa’s close proximity to the A92 affords visitors the opportunity to head to some of the most celebrated tourists spots such Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Jaen and Ronda. The smaller cities of Antequera and Lucena are even closer and well worth visiting.

As we ate a last breakfast on the main veranda before departing for Malaga airport and flight back to UK, we were unanimous in our enjoyment of the villa and our two (too short) weeks stay.

WONDERFUL FAMILY HOLIDAY

We stayed at this property with 4 adults and 4 children (age4-12). It had everything you could possibly need, and the pool was a perfect addition. Its a great base to explore the area, and visit the real Spain. The local shops and cafes are in walking distance and everyone was very welcoming (although you should be prepared with some basic spanish). We visited Saville, Granada, Cordoba and Antequera (and the flamingos) - and would recommend them all. Our highlight was a drive to El Chorro - a hidden treat in only a short distance away. The owner was incredibly helpful and responded to all queries very quickly - Carlos and Maria met us at the villa and were very friendly. I would recommend this villa without any hesitation.

Fabulous Villa

Fabulous villa, in a fabulous location which gave us a fabulous holiday.

We spent the first week with our immediate family (aged 28 to 32) and second week with the 'older' family and friends. The villa suited all ages and was a pleasure to stay in.

The property was clean and well equipped, with Martin and Claire, the represenatives, on hand if we needed anything.

Lots of interesting places to visit and the village was lovely. Even though they did not speak English, they did understand pointing! Manolo, the bar owner was really nice and made us most welcome.

Only regret was leaving the lovely warm weather!!

A Delightful Surprise

Rarely does a holiday property exceed one's expectations but this villa does so in spades.

We had never been to Spain before and were frankly rather sceptical as our perception of 'Spanish Holidays' was rather prejudiced by the 'costa' image.

This house is a real delight. It is spacious, light and airy and above all cool! It is superbly maintained, very well equiped and ideally situated. The excellent roads make Seville, Granada and Cordoba easily accessible and the house is only an hour and fifteen minutes from Malalaga airport.

Having said this the house, pool and immediate surroundings make it ideal for those who really don't feel the need to explore.

Martin and Claire, the caretakers, who live nearby, are a real asset and are helpful way beyond the call of duty. (when we had a minor medical emergency they could not do enough for us).

Suffice it to say that we fully intend to return. A delightful holiday.

The villa is situated on a quiet country road overlooking mountains and olive groves. It is on the outskirts of a village and is a gentle 5 minute stroll to the local supermarkets, bars, shops etc. There is a local restaurant that us a 10 minute stroll through the village. The village is situated off the A92 motorway and is an hour's drive from Malaga, Seville, Granada, Ronda and Cordoba. The nearest town is Estepa where there is a large supermarket whilst Antequera is a 20 minute drive.

You will be able to sit and relax around the pool or under the covered terraces or, for the more energetic, there are plenty of local walks to the mountains. If you wish to do some cooking there is a full size kitchen as well as a large built in gas and charcoal BBQ. There is a Sky satellite service which provides the normal terrestrial channels as in the UK as well as some of the free view channels.

Golf: The nearest course is at Antequera - a 25 minute drive.
