This villa is located within the VillaSol Resort, so all amenities are available to use at your disposal while you visit (pools, private beach entrance, complex shuttle, etc.). The villa is starting to get a little dated, but still functions wonderfully for a private getaway... more less, what you see is what you get (updates and renovations are in the works). It is located 25 minutes from the Liberia airport, and has great beaches and towns surrounding the area. Please email me if you have any questions!
The villa is located at the highest point of the resort which makes the views and sunset remarkable. When I purchased the villa in early 2016 this was the first and only thing I needed to see in order for me to purchase it. The villa is around 1750 ft2, and is 25 years old. This being said, it is dated, the kitchen, overall room aesthetics, etc. I will be slowly updating the entire space, and doing renovations, to better the villa for the future, so the pictures may not reflect what is there and how it looks when you come for your stay... But it won't be any more dated then the pictures posted. There will be new and improved pieces to the villa! (I will keep the pics as up to date as possible throughout the process.)
When you rent the villa you will have access to the entire home. The master bedroom has one king sized bed with a big rooftop walkout patio attached. There is also an ensuite full bathroom. The second bedroom has two full sized/double beds in it, as well and another ensuite full bathroom. The kitchen and common space/tv area are on the main floor, with a small attached walk out balcony/overhang area where you have great views... But the big patio space off the master bedroom is where the sunset and breathtaking views never end!
Throughout your stay I can always be contacted if their are any issues or questions that arise in the general area or villa. I also have a villa concierge that will be onsite when you arrive to welcome you and go over everything in the villa. He will also be present when you depart to do a final inventory and check of the villa. During your time there he is the best contact and resource for restaurants and beaches in the area, as well as if you want to do any activities or excursions while in Costa Rica.
One thing to note: The Villas Sol Resort complex runs off of a gravity fed, REFILLABLE, water tank. The water is fine to drink and ingest. But from time to time the water truck has been known to show up a few hours late so the complex has no running water for random few hours. This is a common thing in the area, remember you're in Costa Rica... a developing nation... the driver probably stopped for a taco and beer on his way and that is what made him late. It is nothing to be worried about, the water will flow again... but you've been warned... (It has happened twice to me since purchasing the villa in early 2016)
The Villas Sol Resort complex is also attached to Condovac La Costa Club and Hotel, which share the same beach access. So having both of these complexes built together gives a wide variety of activities and restaurants/bar options. There are also 5 good little restaurants and bars on the beach, and a few random places one block in from the beach, all within walking distance from the shuttle drop off offered by the resort direct from the villa to the beach and other areas around the resorts. (I never eat at the Villas Sol Resort, because it is just that, a resort. I prefer supporting the little local restaurants and 'Mom and Pop Shops' within the area. Playa Hermosa is a quiet town, which means the disco clubs and more rough & rowdy bars and party areas are in Del Coco, about a 10 minute drive away. There are taxis available but they are few and far between, and no Uber here yet.
You are best to rent a vehicle if you wish to get around fast and efficiently. Costa Rica is safe and easy to navigate, the police will not bother you as long as you are driving lawfully and respectfully.
There are also taxis around (very scarce though as they usually stay in Del Coco, and no Uber yet). There is also a town to town bus system, I cannot comment any further on how it works or its schedule though. This can be found out locally when you are here or through the villa concierge.
