GUEST EMAIL REVIEW received 21 May 2014:
"We had a wonderful time at the casa. There were four of us and we wanted to be near San Donato where my grandparents came from. The accommodations at the casa were beautiful and the scenery overlooking the mountains were spectacular. We sat outdoors on the patio in the afternoons to take in the view. Alan and Carole couldn't have been more helpful with directions and suggestions as to where to go, what to do, and how to get there. If you want serenity and peace this is the place to go." - J & J. Indeed, we agree - for peace and serenity and spectacular views, Casa Bella Vista is the place to be. We look forward to your return soon. Best wishes, Alan and Carole.
Comprehensive illustrated instructions allowed us to find the property easily and Carmelinda was immediately there to show us around. The apartment is very comfortable with all you would need but it is the view from the living room, it's balcony and the garden which makes it special.
Second visit to this beautiful part of Italy, and staying in this wonderfully equipped accommodation - the views from the balcony, gardens and Olive Grove are amazing and the weather was hot and sunny even in October.
It was so peaceful day and night and the perfect place to relax, so much to see and do in the surrounding area where the locals are so friendly.
Can' t wait to go back

Casa Bella Vista is perfectly named. Beautiful views of the mountains, the small villages to the side and the whole of the valley below. The apartment is very modern and extremely comfortable, and has authentic Italian tile flooring. Ideal for walking, sightseeing and, of course, relaxing with good food and glass of wine, just taking in the surroundings. The short trip to Monte Cassino is a must for any visitor! I highly recommend a visit to Casa Bella Vista, and am already planning my next stay.
Casa Bella Vista certainly lives up to its name. Beautiful views of the mountains and small villages to the side and the whole of the valley below. The apartment is very modern and extremely comfortable, with authentic Italian tile flooring. Ideal for walking, sightseeing and plain old relaxing. The short trip to Monte Cassino is a must! I would highly recommend Casa Bella Vista as a place to stay, and I am so looking forward to my next visit.
The name of this house is Bella Vista (Beautiful View). And while the view is truly incredible (more on that later), the house has so much more to offer.
Let me start by saying my father's family is from Frosinone (Casalvieri, to be exact), so we were looking for a comfy place nearby where we could fit two couples who planned on doing lots of cooking, wine drinking, sleeping, walking and nature-gawking. This place was perfect for all of the above.
We loved the location (It's centrally located if you're into Frosinone hill towns), the view (still more on that later) and the high quality and recent vintage of the appliances, floors, furnishings, windows, doors, showers, toilets, etc. There was plenty of room for everyone; one couple had a massive bedroom while the other had two smaller bedrooms, one of which served as an ante-chamber to the other, offering plenty of privacy and acting as a snore buffer zone (We had two offending parties, one per couple).
And then there was the view. We felt like we were in a chalet. There were even snow-capped mountains to the far right, as seen from the terrace. It's hard to explain, but the vista made me feel so proud to claim roots in the area. It is, after all, a beautiful area -- still unspoiled by seas of tourists like so much of Italy and France -- and this view lets you take it all in at once. Just thinking about it now is getting me a bit choked up; I recall the sound of distant church bells, the herd of sheep (with shepherd) who walked by almost every day, the sunrises, sundowns and again, that wondrous snow-capped goodness to the far right.
We loved this house, and we HIGHLY recommend it to everyone.
This was our second visit to Calla Bella Vista - this time to see it in springtime.
After an easy car journey from the airport - just over 1.5 hours, we came to the familiar and pretty town of Villa Latina, then Valle Grande which looked wonderful in the fading sunlight. With wild blue and white irises in full flower on both sides in the road, after a bend Casa Bella Vista came into view against a backdrop of mountains with snow glistened on the ridges.
Soon we were enjoying the comforts of the apartment and the stunning views from the sunny terrace.
After a day or two relaxing, culture called! A 1.5 hour drive took us to the excavations of Herculaneum. Having visited there 20 years before we were amazed at what has been achieved since. On another particularly hot day we enjoyed the sea breezes and delicious Italian ice-cream at Gaeta, and a long lunch at the seaside resort of Sperlonga.
A drive up into the National Parco d'Abruzzo filled another afternoon where we reached the snow-line and enjoyed the wild and wonderful surroundings.
On warm, sunny mornings what better than a visit to local villages to enjoy a good Italian coffee for just one euro - sit in sun, or shade, and soak up the local atmosphere.
One such favourite town is Atina - bustling on Mondays with its busy local market. Atina has Roman origins, and some lovely later buildings in the old town. Picinisco is attractive too - savour the coffee and the views across the valley to the mountains.
There are opportunities for walking - as short or as long as one wishes. A short walk up from the Casa revealed wild cyclamen sheltering under trees with bursting green buds, and catkins as long as a cat's tail - well almost! ...!
One can choose to eat "in" or "out" depending upon how energetic the day has been. We enjoyed good food at various restaurants and at reasonable prices. A favourite was Hotel La Grotte in San Donato. This is a busy town on Sunday mornings, when there is a market and cafes are buzzing.
We rounded off our holiday with 2 days in Florence, calling in at Orvieto for lunch - such an attractive town it was hard to tear ourselves away. Florence never disappoints either.
We will return to Italy again, and certainly back to Casa Bella Vista - a perfect, peaceful home and ideal base for cultural sight-seeing.

The wording above has been much copied by some owners in their adverts - which is flattering - but no two properties can be identical particularly as our Farmhouse Casa is over 4 centuries old. Our own advert here is 100% accurate as confirmed by the huge number of excellent reviews received from past guests. As for copied adverts? - who knows how accurate? - so look for the many independent opinions and reviews by previous guests and be sure of what you are getting - without paying for extras ......

Peak Period Rentals at Xmas and New Year are slightly more expensive - please enquire for details.
The slightly higher prices at peak periods DO NOT reflect 'Inflated Holiday Prices' but are because over Xmas/New Year more logs, wood and kindling are used and during August more air conditioning/electricity is used by guests.
