About Cheri

We have owned this property since 1972. The house was build in 1997.

Why Cheri chose British Columbia

You can see the deer stroll through our yard all day long. I have seen sea otters on the lawn or a family of otters playing out front in the ocean. View the seals, which love to play hear the steller seal or just watch the boats passing by.

What makes this house unique

We have a large yard, great for all your favorite lawn games. Partly covered deck also a large deck for enjoying the sun.

Fabulous view, wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

We have been going to Mayne off and on for 30 years. This is our first time to stay in this particular house and it certainly has the most stunning view of any home we've stayed in! The setting is just SO beautiful and SO peaceful... And we enjoyed the view both indoors through the lovely big windows and outdoors on the spacious deck with LOTS of comfortable seating. We also loved the access to the beach and the berry picking on the many blackberry bushes on the road below. The kitchen was wonderful and very well equipped, the livingroom area very comfortable, as were the bedrooms. And all very tastefully decorated. They even had beach toys for our 2 year old grandson! And since the deck had gates at both ends, it was also perfect for that 2 year old as well! We loved staying at this home and highly recommend it!

The pictures don't do this property justice

  • 5 of 5

We rented this for a family vacation. The lawns, decks, beach access were fantastic. Every amenity you could want was available. Wifi, cable TV etc. comes incredibly equipped with yard games, videos, CD's. Kitchen had everything you could ask for. This was a great home and would rent it again without question. First time on Mayne Island, but definitely not my last. But only if I can rent this one again.

First stay over on Mayne Island

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent 4 nights on Mayne Island recently - our first overnight stay on this beautiful island.

Our accommodations were perfect - great view, lots of room, very comfortable, nicely decorated and tons of amenities.

The well-stocked kitchen allowed us to cook all our means with no trouble.

Would not hesitate to visit again.

Loved Mayne Island

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay on Mayne Island so very much. The Island is small, but has all the amenities. We were comfortable and enjoyed staying here. Everything was as promised and the owner was very helpful in seeking out contact information for a fishing charter. The house was clean and well maintained. The view was incredible and the access to the waterfront was not overly difficult. This is a great location for kayaking. I wouldn't recommend the property for people with difficulties walking, but it has lots of space for outdoor activities and for anyone else is an ideal setting.

You won't want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

We (3 couples) rented this house for a late summer getaway and absolutely loved it. The interior is spacious and well designed including a kitchen outfitted with all that you would ever need to make a large, home cooked meal. The house is equipped with an abundance of outdoor seating to lounge on the large deck or huge lawn overlooking the water. The views are spectacular, especially the sun rises - well worth waking up early for! The property is a very short walk (10 minutes) or easy bike ride (3 minutes) to the portion of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve near Bennett Bay. There is also very easy access to the shoreline, which is walkable in both directions. Trust me, you won't want to leave. The property owners are also very nice and exceptionally easy to deal with.

Perfect Summer holiday

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful vacation rental. We had all our family there which was our two grown daughters, their husbands and children - one 7 year old, two 3 years olds and a baby. We sure loved playing in the yard and going down the little path to the ocean where they swam and did much exploring at low tide. The weather was exceptional so we enjoyed beautiful early morning sunrises and a short walk to the public beach and nearby trail along the ocean. It had everything we needed and felt spacious with the high ceiling in the open space kitchen, dining and living room with lots of windows which made it bright and airy. We did some island exploring - the Japanese garden is very special. Thank you so much for having so many of us there - we did not feel crowded and would for sure think of coming again and recommending it to others.
