Sun City is a 55+ retirement community and one renter must meet the age requirement. Our home is a nonsmoking home, but smoking is allowed on the screened back porch. Our home is located on a quiet street with easy access to shopping, cultural, and sporting events. Tastefully decorated to allow for that homey feeling we seek ourselves when we travel. Master bedroom in simple Victorian allows guest to relax in quiet light with view of back yard. Guest bedroom is set up to meet the needs of those who require an office space for work or leisure. Two desks are included as well as printing access. The living room and dining area are themed around a 'Route 66/highway' theme and add a rustic charm. The bathroom is fullsize and offers a walk in tub for easy access complete with shower. A spacious screened Lanai allows for an early morning coffee break with rabbit viewing or a gander at the coveys of quail that love our area. We love to see all the babies trailing the mama quail with a for sure destination in mind. Take a break, just get away for a few nights or a few weeks to this sunshiny location on your next trip to Arizona's Valley of the Sun. Fall/Winter temperatures are perfect for outdoor activities and Spring/summer allows for inexpensive golf and various indoor activities at nearby recreation facilitie. If you enjoy a day at the casino, enjoy a free ride to Harrahs with twice daily departures from the Bell Rec center.
This home was one step for my husband, Joe, and I as we headed toward retirement. We were formerly from the Midwest and moved to Arizona when Joe retired from GM in Flint, Michigan. We chose Sun City because we lead an active lifestyle and love the proximity to not only recreation facilities but also hiking the nearby peaks that allow for various fitness levels. Local theaters, bus tours, classes, and activities met our needs perfectly. Sun City allows multiple opportunities for volunteering or getting involved. That is why we moved to this sunny spot and why we love it here!

Our house has Proximity to anything and everything that more mature people look for: Events, classes, churches, outdoors, fitness, and cultural ....Activities are affordable and geared toward individual interests of renters.....and of course, GOLF....lots of GOLF....at affordable rates. Additionally, the crafter or vintage lover or collector will be amazed the opportunities to find exactly what you are looking for. Estate sales and crafting classes are abundant in our area. Who could ask for anything more?
We love watching the hummingbird alight and fight for a spot on the baskets that adorn our entryway. it is common to walk out to the car and scare up a rabbit or two or watch a covey of quail head off on a quest known only to the momma quail leading her chicks. An abundance of birds and rabbits bring smiles to each day..Some sitting on the lanai leads to peaceful serenity ...a rare find in a busy world.
The house was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. The neighbors were very friendly. It had easy access to the main roads. Enjoyed the warm weather and the sunshine.
We enjoyed our stay in Sun City . The location of our rental was great. We were close to the Peoria Baseball stadium, our main reason for being in the area. We had fresh orange juice each morning from the backyard trees. The neighborhood was quiet and a great place to walk. Fry's Grocery store supplied us with all we needed. We found everything as stated in the listing of the property. The house was clean and had what we needed. We did miss WiFi and ESPN but we knew these would not be available when we booked the rental.
This home is located in a great location. It was easy to find our way to groceries, recreation centers, shopping, park and airport. We particularly enjoyed picking oranges from the trees in the backyard; (thank you for the electric juicer); and sipping fresh orange juice every day.
We found there to be many activities in the area and the home was cozy and comfortable for us to return to each day.

We spent several weeks in Phoenix and thoroughly enjoyed this vacation home in Sun City. The neighborhood was very quiet and we enjoyed our morning walks. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. Communication with Lana and Joe was great. I would recommend this vacation home to anyone visitng Phoenix.
Amenities in Sun City are geared to 55+ age group. Rentors have access to eight golf courses, winter rates are about $30-$45 for 18 holes plus cart fee. There are several recreation centers that have gyms, Olympic size pools, walking pools, fitness classes, bowling, lawn bowling,billiards/pool. crafts & craft classes including ceramics and woodworking, libraries, and multiple activities. These activities require a temporary resident ID that can be purchased at the main recreation center for a fee per person per month. Access to downtown Phoenix and surrounding cities allow for various cultural, leisure, sporting events, shopping, theater, and outdoor activities including county parks, zoos, and botanical gardens. Professional sport teams are plentiful and include Arizona Cardinals, Coyotes, and Suns. Arizona State located in nearby Tempe offers both sporting and cultural events.
