About Pam Bell

We've been looking for the perfect property in the perfect location for a number of years. We finally found our secluded paradise in Waikoloa Village.

We have now completed all the renovations in the kitchen/living area as well as the bedroom/bathroom areas. We've resurfaced the pool deck and recently added solar panels to heat the pool and air conditioning to cool the bedrooms.

We will continue to upgrade our vacation home in the coming years.

Pam Bell purchased this house in 2012

Why Pam Bell chose Kohala Coast

We've been vacationing with our family on the Big Island for over 30 years. We always loved the Waikoloa area because of it's central location, only 15-20 mins to the best beaches on the Big Island, 30 minutes to the airport and 35 mins to Kona and of course the almost perfect weather!

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this property, because of the unique layout of the single level home. Each bedroom has it's own private entrance and ensuite, the private pool and of the course the fantastic sunset & ocean views

Guestbook comments from the owner

We can't say enough about this beautiful vacation home in Hawaii that felt like our "home away from home." Not only was it a beautiful and kept up vacation home, but it had all the amenities we needed (swimming pool, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc.) to make our vacation a fun and excellent time. We liked having two separate bedrooms that provided for the personal space that our family of 4 needed. We highly recommend this vacation home to others. Thank you Pam and Rod (homeowners) for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Perfect Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

This home is nicely situated in Waikola which is only 30 minutes from the airport ,a 20 minute drive to two wonderful beautiful beaches in Hawaii, and 15 minutes from Waikola Village where the King and Queen Shops are and tours can be gotten. We found the house a perfect retreat after a fun day because of the private pool. Our grandchildren, ages ranging from 8-18, enjoyed a swim while we prepared dinner, relaxed watching tv or reading as we could keep an eye on them because of the retractable door that opens up onto the entire area. The main living space is not air-conditioned, but this was not a problem for us ( even in July) as we were never there during the day and we used the shuttered doors to keep the sun out while we were gone and by evening it cooled off nicely. The sunsets are spectacular! The two bedrooms are air- conditioned and the bedrooms and baths are large and very comfortable. However, this unit would not be ideal for families with young children because the space is not connected by a hallway so both bedrooms feel very private. The second bedroom does not have a tv , but our grandkids were too busy in the pool to care. This unit is ideal for a group with older kids or two adult groups . We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful and beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay on the Big Island. The house is so beautiful, both architecturally and

its interior decoration, and it provided a restful peaceful space for the

two of us. The air-conditioning in the bedrooms was a wonderful improvement. This

home looks like it is much loved. We hope to return again next year.

Jason, the manager, was most considerate and kept the pool immaculately

Really made our stay the best it could have been!

  • 5 of 5

We were really excited when we picked this house. We had a 6 night stay on the big island and we didn't plan anything before we got there. They had so many pamphlets and magazines to help us find good restaurants and things to do. The house is set up in a really unique way, which made the three of us really feel like each one had their own space. Very open concept in the house. After a long day of activities, it was so nice to come back to this beautiful home. I also really liked the location. It made it really easy to go to either Hilo or Kona and everything in between. Highly recommend for anyone staying on the Big Island.

Palm trees, a pool, and a sunset

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home could not have been more perfect for my group. My husband and I took the end room and his parents were able to use the other room with two beds which they needed. It was like living in heaven for 11 days. We wish it could have been longer. The pool was wonderful, though my husband felt like it was too chilly - I think there had been some rains before we got there that lowered the temperature - and the dogs next door woke me up a few times, but I'm a light sleeper, and I would put up with it for this place. It was sunny almost the whole time, and with this location you can drive everywhere on the island within a couple hours. The main room is absolutely comfortable, the lighting is lovely, the tiled showers and huge bathrooms were experiences in themselves, and of all the places I've ever been I want to return to this one ASAP!

Vacation Bliss!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time we just had at this beautiful Waikoloa home with a very private pool! Everything was just as pictured and described including the new addition of air conditioning in the bedrooms which we didn't need to use because the trade winds, screened doors, and overhead fan was enough to keep us comfortable throughout the moonlit night. What fun it was to take a dip in the lighted pool after hours then sit by the poolside fire pit! The kitchen and all that is needed to make a spectacular meal is available, clean and appropriately placed and chosen. The drive to local Waikoloa 'hot spots,' beaches, Waimea - so easy and fun with the addition of 'Island-style' holiday music from the local radio station. We made good use of the Waikoloa Village grocery store and food court. One of our best meals there was a freshly cooked, fork tender roast from the grocery deli section with all the trimmings - get there near closing and you'll be offered great deals. We got a large container of spicy chicken wings for only $2.65! As far as the area - its a neighborhood and yes, has an occasional barking dog, but no constant noise to complain about, and even a charming house bird from somewhere nearby that makes fun whistle sounds as passer-by's take their evening walks. Mahalo to Rod & Pam for sharing their lovely home with us!

loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We shared this beautiful home with another couple and it allowed for privacy as well as great spaces for spending time together. The kitchen is well equipped and we appreciated the filtered water in the fridge. It was in a great location for heading out to explore the island and a quick drive to the lovely Hapuna Beach (with chairs, beach umbrella's and cooler from the pool shed). We loved the wide open feeling when the great patio doors were open to enjoy views of the pool and sunsets beyond. The owners are very responsive and accommodating.
