About Becca

This is our personal home away from home too and we hope you have many great family memories here. It is a great lake (not overcrowded), great fishing and very relaxing, but also lots to do for kids. We enjoy playing family games (that we never make time for at home) and eating smores after dark!

Becca purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Becca chose Southwest Michigan

Little Fish Lake covers 139 acres and has a water depth of 40’, an all sports lake, and great fishing for bass, bluegill and crappie. There is a public launch nearby. The lake is quiet (not a lot of fast boats). You are welcome to bring your own watercraft. There is no motor size limit on the lake. We have kayaks, a paddle boat, and a small Pontoon boat with a trolling motor for your enjoyment. You can fish off the pier too (Fishing license required). Please make sure you are familiar with Michigan lake boating rules. Basic rules for the lake: no wake after 7pm. Stay at least 100ft away from swimmers and other boaters. Drive counter clockwise on the lake.

What makes this cottage unique

Private lake front home sleeps up to 6. Your family will love your vacation in this home away from home! Imagine yourself waking up to the sounds of nature, kayaking, paddle boat, or fishing off the pontoon. Your kids will love the family games, video games, and s'mores! There is so much to do! You can also boat over to the lakeside park!

Nice place to stay

  • 4 of 5

My sister and I and our families stayed at this cottage for a week in mid-August. It was clean and cute. There were plenty of pots and pans for cooking, and a gas grill that was nice. We enjoyed playing in the sand and water, taking trips to nearby Three Rivers (awesome bookstore there!), and relaxing beside the fire pit. We were a little disappointed that the area of the lake in front of the beach was somewhat overgrown; we had hoped to swim there. But the shallow water by the shore was perfect for the littlest kids to play in, and we were able to go across the lake to the public swimming area (no one else was there) to swim. The owners were very accommodating; they actually brought out a new DVD player when we couldn't get the first one to work! And recommended a fabulous ice cream place. All in all we had a great time!

Excellent Stay

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our experience here. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the amenities were great. There was something to do for everyone-the youngest played in the sand on the private beach and waded in the lake, the older kids set out on the kayaks and enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit. The owners were very accommodating and understanding and even came out to make a repair on the pontoon when heavy winds detached it from its moorings.

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week long family vacation. The private beach was great. we all enjoyed the kyaks and pontoon. It is a short jog across the lake to a playground and public beach. House was everything we needed and very clean. We ran out of propane on the grill half way through and the owner drove an half a mile just to replenish it! Great people and great vacation.

Lake House

  • 2 of 5

Our stay was adequate. There was no air conditioning in the 3rd bedroom which made it hard to sleep. There really was no king size bed, just two singles pushed together. The air conditioning in the 2nd bedroom was noisey & the unit did not fit well into the window, leaving large gaps for insects to get in. The pontoon boat was old and unstable. There was no available television stations and the internet was spotty at best, and the owner did not know the password to connect to the network. The yard was lovely & was kept up very well. We did enjoy the fireworks.

Owner's Response: Dear future guests, The kids bedroom does not have an air conditioner because the room only has a sliding glass door. We have never had a problem with insects in the house during our stays, although the AC is noisy in the full bedroom. At the beginning of 2013, our home did not have TV service (which we did explain), but we have since had Dish network installed. The cottage does not have internet although devices do recognize the neighbor's wifi. Of course I would not have the password to that. Please contact us if you have any questions.
