About Krystina Lankone
We moved to Vermont 15 years ago for its connection to nature, real local food & small town lifestyle. With backgrounds in design and architecture, we have renovated 3 homes in the area and enjoy polishing the gems that are often overlooked by years of neglect. Our intention is to bring a space back to its original simplicity while adding only the necessities for modern comfort. We've been astounded by the craftsmanship that went into this house over the year.
Krystina Lankone purchased this Farmhouse in 2016
Why Krystina Lankone chose Chester Depot
We watched this gem sit neglected for too long and took it on as a design/renovation project in the beginning of 2016. After 5 months of nonstop renovations, we have completed the first phase of this project. Our goal with this project is to enjoy the process, hence the name Amare "to do for the love of it". She's been a true pleasure to work on, this house just feels good, and we give thanks to have the opportunity to bring her back to life and now share her with our guests.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
This pretty lady sit on a knoll in the village of Chester, and although you'll miss very little when you're sitting on the porches, the back yard offers privacy.

Lovely home and hosts
Really enjoyed the home, the kitchen has excellent appliances and is well stocked. Everything was clean and the location is excellent for exploring Chester and nearby towns. The hosts were friendly, helpful, communicative and exactly what you want and hope when renting a place. Overall, A+!
a lovely place to visit
The home is beautiful and filled with love and warmth. It is charming, clean and the owners were very welcoming and attentive. The area is great for exploring and a great getaway. We enjoyed every bit of it and would recommend to others!
Wonderful, warm home with lots of cozy nooks to relax.
We loved our stayed in this home. Walking distance to the village which offer nice restaurant offerings. House is well equipped and has incredibly comfortable beds and pillows. Large kitchen for those who like to cook. The family who owns the house is very nice and makes every effort to make your stay memorable. This rambling old house in a gem and it perfect for couples or families. Just a sweet experience all around.
Clean, cozy, beautifully decorated
Spent four days with my family and despite there being no snow for skiing we were happy to spend lazy days in this cozy house. All the rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious and very tastefully decorated. We cooked, read, the little girls played hide and seek. We were very happy with our temporary home. Krystina was available when we needed her or had questions and was kind enough to look for my lost sunglasses after we left and wrote to inquire if I had found them (I did). I highly recommend a stay here.
Beautiful, cozy, and CLEAN!
We stayed for the weekend to go skiing at Okemo with family and friends. We have a newborn baby so I was a little bit nervous about where we stayed not being clean enough, but the house was spotless! They have done a BEAUTIFUL job with their renovations, you can tell it has been a labor of absolute love! Coming from someone who lives in a 200 year old house, I really appreciate the beauty and charm of the guesthouse! I met quickly with Krystina and she was sweet as can be. The only thing that would have been a little bit comfier for us was to have switched the cute cot in the tv room for the couch, easier to get cozy on a couch after a day of skiing than on the cot. Very minor suggestion! Loved, loved, loved our stay!!
A home away from home...
This was our second year staying at the beautifully restored Amare Guesthouse and we had a wonderful visit once again. It is a warm and comfortable home with great character and all the modern conveniences with plenty of room. The beds and bedding are top notch. The owners were responsive and helpful regarding restaurants, yoga and mountain tips. We highly recommend this property as a great family vacation spot. Thank you!
