A newly renovated apartment within an historical Georgian townhouse

The property is located on Great King Street, one of the finest Georgian terraces in Edinburgh. It is a 5-10 minute walk from George Street and Princes Street where the best shops, restaurants and bars are located and the Castle is a 20 minute walk away. The apartment is on the first floor (one flight of stairs) of a traditional townhouse. The accommodation comprises a living room, kitchen, 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The superb living room has floor to ceiling windows, marble fireplace and decorative ceiling plasterwork has a large dining table, sofa bed, TV and DVD. The wonderful modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric oven and washing machine with built-in dryer. The main bathroom has a 'jacuzzi' bath and there is the second shower room off the master bedroom. The second bedroom overlooks the rear of the property with views to the north of the city and the third double bedroom (includes a single bed) faces the front of the building. Parking is available on request.

Wonderful stay

The flat was beautiful and centrally located . Couldn't have asked for a better place . Also when we had a slight problem with the hobb it was taken care of right away ! Would highly recommend it .

Reasonably priced, well appointed, great location

This is the second floor apartment. During our stay, the first floor accommodations were under construction. We didn't experience any extra noise or inconvenience from that. Spacious apartment. Feels like you can be at home.

Perfect for the 5 of us.

The apartment is in a great location with shops, cafes and parks within a few blocks. Don't miss Leo's Beanery on Howe street for breakfast! The old town area is about a 10-15 minute walk - which was perfect for me and my 4 nieces. The apartment is spacious with plenty of room to hang out for breakfast and evening card games. We had two flight delays and did not arrive until almost midnight. Francois was great to work with and there were no problems getting the key that was left for us so we could let ourselves in. The beds were comfortable. We loved the colorful kitchen. If you want to cook there are plenty of dishes and utensils. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Georgian flat

The updated Georgian flat in new town was beautiful, neat and clean with all the amenities. Within easy walking distance of a few restaurants , a couple of bars , a grocery store and coffee shops. 10 min walk to post office, 20 min walk to stores and a 30 min walk to old town. Bus stops are close by for trips to downtown or old town, taxis were fairly easy to get, we found calling for a taxi the day before made it easy to get to the starting locations for our planned tours. It was great to have an updated kitchen to cook in so we did not have to eat out for every meal. The windows facing the street are huge and let in great light, curtains are available to close them for privacy. The area is very quiet and quite lovely. The washing macine dryer combo was a bit tricky and we did shrink some clothes, so set it for the hanger setting as it will let the clothes finish with air drying. The full size bed is on the small size and has a very firm mattress , 2 full size adults could not sleep on it so we used the twin beds which were very comfortable and had access to a bathroom in the hall. The queen bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and had an on suite bathroom. There is a full flight of wide cement 1800's stairs to access this second floor flat, no elevator, keep this in mind when packing your lugguge as you will have to lug it up those stairs.

I highly recomend this location and would stay there again if I make another trip to Edinburgh.

Gorgeous updated gem in Edinburgh

We absolutely loved this 3-bedroom 2-bath apartment! Hardwood floors, huge windows, gorgeous modern bathrooms, super high ceilings. This apartment had it all! Perfectly located on a surprisingly quiet street just blocks away from the city center. Francois quickly came to our rescue when I foolishly locked both sets of keys in the apartment. Everything was clean, well-stocked kitchen with plenty of refrigerator space. Grocery store half block away. This was the perfect base for us to stay in while we explored Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Great apartment/location, spotlessly clean. Management - not so good.

We found the apartment spotlessly clean on arrival - thanks Donna. Well positioned for most must-see venues and eateries. Unfortunately, we were virtually surrounded by building work. It would have been better to have been made aware of some minor disruption and noise before our arrival. On the first day out, the main front door lock fell to pieces. I contacted Francois who seemed less than concerned about making the door secure. I made a temporary repair but the lock fell off again later. I managed to secure the lock again with parcel tape, which stayed in place, undisturbed, for the rest of our stay. I suspect that the lock is still unrepaired. There was also some confusion about a requested, and confirmed, change of bed linen and towels, and Donna arrived with the wrong replacements. However, she rummaged around and changed the beds with linen that was in the store cupboard. We washed the towels ourselves. Small niggles ( apart from the potential lack of security ) but totally avoidable.
