It is a 5-10 minute walk from George Street and Princes Street where the best shops, restaurants and bars are located and the Castle is a 20 minute walk away. The apartment is on the first floor (one flight of stairs) of a traditional townhouse. The accommodation comprises a living room, kitchen, 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The superb living room has floor to ceiling windows, marble fireplace and decorative ceiling plasterwork has a large dining table, TV and DVD. The wonderful modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric oven and washing machine with built-in dryer. The main bathroom has a 'jacuzzi' bath and there is the second shower room off the master bedroom. The second bedroom overlooks the rear of the property with views to the north of the city and the third bedroom (twin beds) faces the front of the building. Parking is available on request.

Quiet street, excellent location for city centre, close to shops, restaurants, pubs and transport.
The flat was comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and Francois, the owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The flat is on the 'drawing room' floor of a Georgian house and aesthetically, it's a shame the drawing room has been divided up to make a third bedroom, but you can still get an idea of the original grandeur of the building. One minus point - the glass bricks between the bedroom and bathroom are a real pain, I would suggest getting rid of them! Overall I would recommend this flat and would stay there again.
Lovely property in great location
The flat is charming and well appointed. The living room is especially attractive and comfortable. It’s easy to feel right at home. Francois was very helpful and quick to respond.
The main bedroom would benefit from a more comfortable mattress (it’s very hard) and maybe something over the glass bricks from the main bathroom so you’re not disturbed if others need to use the loo during the night.
The flat suited us well - one working some of the time and two teenagers as well as me. It was near enough the centre that it was easy for us to walk in and out and yet quiet enough to make working there easy. Nearby facilities are great too - we made good use of Tesco metro (round the corner) and L’Escapade was a great spot for coffee and brunch.

Excellent property, great location and would book again
From the very start the owner communicated in a timely and friendly manner. Property was better than described, great for 5 people with plenty of space. Great location and architecture, I would recommend to any one looking for a stay in Edinburgh. One of our best VRBO rentals to date. Highly recommended
Everything you need
Well-kitted out and a great location; I would definitely stay here again. The construction below was a little annoying for the person in the front room as the tradies worked 6 days a week and started early, but nothing wrong with the flat itself.
Great location, poor presentation.
New Town is the ideal location to base yourself in Edinburgh with almost all key attractions within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants and watering holes for lunch, dinner and drinks and only 15 minutes to the Royal Mile.
The apartment however was let down by poor quality bed linen, towels, furniture and general cleanliness. When we arrived garbage was dumped at the bottom of the stairs (outside the apartment) and the owner was slow to respond to an issue we had re parking.
Overall a potentially great apartment was badly let down by cheap fixtures and fittings and not enough attention to the detail that turns an average letting in to an outstanding rental.
Beautiful townhouse, great location
Really nicely renovated, spacious property, with a location striking the perfect balance between walking
proximity to the center, and enough quiet and separation for relaxing down time. Incredible plaster detail on the high ceilings in the living room. Lovely stay for 6 of us (4 adults and two kids).
The property is located in the city centre so it is within easy walking distance of Waveley Station (15 minute walk), city centre attractions and shops and restaurants. There are a number of good shops and restaurants round the corner on Dundas Street. This street is also well known for its numerous, varied and expensive art galleries!
There are no other additional charges. All towels, linen, gas, electricity, water and taxes are included. There is no charge for cleaning.
