Edinburgh Apartment Rental Photos and Description

A newly renovated apartment within an historical Georgian townhouse

The property is located on Great King Street, one of the finest Georgian terraces in Edinburgh. It is a 5-10 minute walk from George Street and Princes Street where the best shops, restaurants and bars are located and the Castle is a 20 minute walk away. The apartment is on the first floor (one flight of stairs) of a traditional townhouse. The accommodation comprises a living room, kitchen, 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The superb living room has floor to ceiling windows, marble fireplace and decorative ceiling plasterwork has a large dining table, sofa bed, TV and DVD. The wonderful modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric oven and washing machine with built-in dryer. The main bathroom has a 'jacuzzi' bath and there is the second shower room off the master bedroom. The second bedroom overlooks the rear of the property with views to the north of the city and the third double bedroom (includes a single bed) faces the front of the building. Parking is available on request.

FANTASTIC- IT IS EVERYTHING PROMISED AND MUCH MORE

The property is exceptional in every manner. It is in a great location within walking distance of the city centre with all its attractions, shops and restaurants. There are also two supermarkets within a 2-minute walk. The property itself is very specious, tastefully decorated and absolutely spotless. The huge Georgian windows filled the apartment with light. The furniture is comfortable and of good quality. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a family would ever need and once again good quality appliances, cutlery, crockery etc. In the bedroom the beds were comfortable and the linen was crisp clean and the towels soft and fluffy. As I said everything one could ever need is there including a hair dryer in each room. The property benefits of central heating which worked very well and kept the apartment toasty cosy and provided ample hot water. Our party compromised of three adults and two children and we were extremely comfortable in this 3 bedroom, 2-bathroom property during our two week stay. Francois our host was extremely responsive polite and friendly .. He met us at the property and showed us around and made sure we knew how to reach him in the event we needed anything. Without a doubt one of the very best properties we ever staid at .. I would most definitely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is looking for exceptional quality and exceptional value at a great location .. Thank you Francois for an amazing stay.

Spacious, well kept flat close to lots to do in Edinburgh

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Edinburgh, and this flat was a great place to stay. It had lots of space for our family of 5. It has been well cared for, and is located close to much of Edinburgh's popular attractions. Francois was a gracious host, and made himself available during our stay to resolve problems (the only one was the wifi dropping out, which he helped us sort quickly).

Our only advice for families with young children is to be aware that part of the wall between the front guest room and the living room is made from glass. This allows you to see the full historical design in the ceiling, which is great. It also means that the front guest room is not a good place for small children to sleep. We wound up having the parents sleep there and split the three children between the master and rear guest rooms.

Clean and comfortable

This a great apartment with a very good location. A short walk from Princes Street, with pubs nearby and a small Sainsburys just up the road. Francois was very efficient when replying to e-mails, and gave us all the information we needed when we arrived at the apartment. There were 7 of us and we found the apartment to be very spacious and we all felt very comfortable. If we were to return to Edinburgh, we will definitely book here again.

Property with great location

There were 6 adults on this vacation. We found the property to be ideally located with great restaurants nearby, the train station quite close and other sites such as the Scottish Royal Museum short walk away. A grocery store was a half block away. The property was clean , decently sized and overall perfect for our group. Francois was very accessible by phone once there though email response to our emails from the US were somewhat delayed but not a major issue. We felt there were not enough towels or toilet paper upon arrival but Francois quickly returned with sufficient amounts. Overall, we were quite happy with the property.

The property is located in the city centre so it is within easy walking distance of Waveley Station (15 minute walk), city centre attractions and shops and restaurants. There are a number of good shops and restaurants round the corner on Dundas Street. This street is also well known for its numerous, varied and expensive art galleries!
