Blue Heron operates as a bed and breakfast for most of the year but for VRBO rentals will operate as a vacation rental without innkeepers. This is a great place for a family retreat where many wonderful memories can be made.

Beautiful home in a wonderful marsh environment.

  • 5 of 5

Every member of our group enjoyed our time at the Blue Heron Inn. The house itself is roomy and beautiful. The suites are all lovely and the en suite bathrooms were are nicely appointed. Jan and Bill were gracious hosts and easily reached when we had questions. We highly recommend spending some time at this southern jewel...we wish we'd had a few more days there ourselves.

Great Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

Our family gathered at the Blue Heron Inn for a family reunion for the week. The accommodations were ideal for a large multi generational group. The owners were beyond helpful when we were making our arrangements. The large well equipped kitchen made for easy meal preparation and visiting. The large central room was ideal for our meals and more visiting. The deck that is outside most of the bedrooms was a wonderful place to watch the sunrise or observe the many species of birds. All of the beds were ready for us and there was a large supply of towels and other linens. The washer and dryer were convenient and helpful to have. There were kayaks, bikes and a great outdoor fire pit. Jan had the entire house beautifully decorated for Christmas all we had to do was bring our stockings to hang with care by the large fireplace.
