Coeur d'Alene Lake has neither the girth of Huron nor the glitz of Tahoe. But mile for mile, this sliver of a lake - with its own unique natural wonders and attractions - can hold its own among those more famous bodies of water. Tucked away in an inlet bay formed by Kid Island (which protrudes into the lake like a thumb) is this gorgeous four-bedroom home that faces Coeur d'Alene Lake. With multiple level decks and 2 private docks, this home is a gateway to the magic of the lake with room for up to eight people.
Looking inland from the water, this expansive home looks more like a hotel, with two huge piggy-backed decks spanning the length of the structure. Inside, however, the spacious living area with its floor to ceiling stone fireplace and plush furniture has a warmth accentuated by the beautiful hardwood floors. Upstairs and down, the home is loaded with big windows that flood the rooms with sunlight and offer great views of the lake beyond. On really hot days, flip on the central air. Outside, watch the activity on the water from your comfortable perch on the huge deck. Or, grab the marshmallows, a blanket, and head out to the outdoor fireplace/fire pit.
Since you're right on the water in this home, distances are reckoned by both boat and by car. So, when you're ready to go out for a meal, there are at least 5 reputable places not too far away, all of them under 10 minutes by boat. By car, however, they range in distance from 10 to 25 minutes away. If you're staying in, this uniquely designed kitchen flows seamlessly from the living area and has everything your chef will need to whip up a great meal. Cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a long marble counter punctuated with plenty of outlets are tucked into one long wall, allowing ample space for prep work and clean up. A large island with 4 stools allows the busy cook to converse with friends and family while they sip a drink or munch on appetizers.
This custom lakefront home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, plenty of room for everyone to get ready without competing for space. In the morning, step through the French doors of the master bedroom with its king bed out onto the deck and savor a great view of the lake with your morning coffee. There are 3 other bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a full/double, another with 2 twins, and, finally, 1 sofabed, so there's plenty of flexible sleeping arrangements for your group of up to eight guests.
The City of Coeur d'Alene is about 12 miles (about 22 minutes by car) from this property. By boat, it's about half the time. Within a hundred miles of Coeur d'Alene you'll find 50 lakes and 3 national forests. With that comes plenty of boating, waterskiing, hiking, kayaking and fishing. There are 3 theme water parks nearby. Golfers: tee-up at one of 8 golf courses in the Coeur d'Alene area. Shoppers: choose from 125 retail shops by the lake. For skiers, there are 5 ski areas from within 48 to 90 miles from the city. You'll also find a winery, spas, and theaters in Coeur d'Alene.

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The location and size of the house are accurate. Items missing from the inventory included a .blender and hair dryer. Mirrors are not in all the bathrooms. Bed side night stands were limited. Black towels were new so when using them, black dye was all over the sink and shower area.
This house is not for people who are physically challenged; too many stairs. Very limited outdoor furniture and none down by the lake. No wood for the fire pit.
All in all, it felt like a business rental and not an owners personal property. The furniture is sparse and looks like it has been rented. No TV controls in the master bedroom. And most disturbing, no local channels on the flat screen down stairs....we were all prepared to watch NBA finals, but not available.
The dock was covered in goose poo and in general disrepair. The walkway onto the deck needs repair immediately; it is sinking into the lake.
We had a good time here, but we would not recommend it to friends.
We stayed at the lake house over memorial weekend, overall a great experience and the kids had lots of fun. The best view you could wake up to in the area, great kitchen and enough room for everyone. Harrison boats will deliver to your dock and camp fire for S'mores when you get back. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
This property has a great location and the view is wonderful. However, parking is limited and the house had some amenities that need better attention to detail. For the price charged the small things mattered.
The Lakefront house was impressive at first sight and had an outstanding view. The house was well staged by the rental company but there were several details that prevented this property getting an outstanding rating. The items are as follows:
1. There was no closet available in the master suite. Typically those sleeping in the master suite are paying for the rental and to have them have to use another room's closet was disappointing. The closet in master suite had no doorknobs so I assume it was meant to be locked off from use. You should reconsider this.
2. There were several dead insects in the living room so we weren't sure when it was cleaned before our arrival. Not a big deal, but if you'rte charging top dollar it would be expected that dead insects, and for that matter bird feces on the deck railing would have been dealt with.
3. The heating cooling thermostat appeared to reset to a default schedule so that it was difficult to maintain a desired temperature, but perhaps we didn't know how to operate the device properly as well.
4. You may want to have a repair person look at the gas line for the fireplace as the flame was rather small. Customers would expect a larger flame for that epic lakeside experience.
Overall the property was excellent, but attention to some further details would have had us raving about it to friends.
Large living spaces and big kitchen. Loved having docks and rented boat from Harrsison boat rentals- they delivered and picked up boat and were awesome. The home has great potential but feels somewhat unfinished(missing bathroom mirrors, unfinished construction of outside columns). Beds were very comfortable.
Early sun, afternoon shade. Needs better blinds in master as the morning sun blasts in for an early wake up call
