One bedroom, one bath, located in the Uptown, New Orleans neighborhood of Broadmoor. We are tucked in a quiet residential area just behind Tulane and Loyola Universities. The apartment is fully furnished with a large eat-in kitchen and a comfortable den. The bedroom has a queen bed and a small bath.
We are native New Orleanians who live and work in the Uptown Area. We could not imagine raising our children anywhere else. To us New Orleans has always been the perfect marriage of metropolitan sophistication and small town charm.
Rebecca Kitchens purchased this apartment in 1996
Our neighborhood, Broadmoor, was established nearly 100 years ago and consist of primarily of single and double family homes. It has always been a tranquil and safe place to come home to after a busy day in town.
The apartment is nestled in the rear of our house. Visitors have a long driveway with plenty of off street parking and a private entrance.
Property is in good condition and the owners are great to work with.
My husband and I had such a wonderful weekend in New Orleans at this lovely little apartment in the uptown area! We have been to New Orleans countless times and always end up caught in the middle of the French quarter tourist scene, but this was an absolutely amazing change of scenery! This apartment is tucked into a quiet little neighborhood near Tulane, close to everything! The apartment had everything you would need for a stay, an amazingly comfortable bed, and it was so clean. Rebecca was easy to communicate with throughout! Thanks again.
Very lovely, comfortable apartment in a delightful neighborhood and very convenient to universities. We look forward to our next stay!
We really enjoyed your stay. The place was perfect for the two of us. Our host was very friendly and gave us good information about the area and good recommendations about places to eat and visit. The apartment was clean and well equipped.
The apartment is exactly as the listing indicates, so one knows precisely what to expect well in advance of arrival. The apartment is clean, neat, and well-appointed with comfortable furniture and kitchen with dishes, flatware, two coffee machines, etc., so preparing meals is easy and homey. The neighborhood is safe, and driving or public transportation to museums, restaurants, universities and other interesting venues is easy. The Kitchens are most helpful sources of information about the many attractions of New Orleans and also practical matters such as grocery stores, restaurants, and directions. Arranging to rent the apartment is quick and easy; response to emails and phone calls is prompt and informative. Clearly they are knowledgeable about the city and are eager to help others explore their interests. We spent a week in New Orleans visiing our granddaughter, a first year student at Tulane (about a 7 minute drive), and we hope to return to visit her again (and again!), with plans to stay at the Kitchens' every time. We highly recommend this property.
This property was exactly as described - even a little better. Perfect location with off street parking in wonderful neighborhood~ A great den, wonderful full kitchen with dining area and a spacious bedroom with plenty of storage. The bathroom is small AND functional- they state that. Everything in it works as it should - great water pressure and temp in shower. The owners couldn't be nicer, I needed help getting ready for a ball - was there by myself and they were glad to answer my request to "zip me up" if I needed it. When one of my puppies got adventurous in back yard and disappeared - they answered my text immediately to be on lookout - and found her - in back yard, in out of way place. Nice deck outside door and great backyard! Would definitely recommend.
The property is centrally located. Just minutes(by car) from Tulane and Loyola Universities, Audubon Park and Zoo, Magazine Street shopping and dining, St. Charles Avenue and the Historic Street Car Line. A short taxi/car ride or The St. Charles Ave. Street Car brings you right into the French Quarter.
