And,just near, there are hill-top villages, like Gallargues -le -Montueux , Aubais, etc ... all really worth a visit. Close by, the unspoilt fauna and flora of the Camargue ;In Aigues-Mortes, the intact walled city of Saint Louis, from where he departed for the Crusades ,do not miss the grand salt mountains and in the pink waters of the marshes ,the pink flamingos are stunning .Carry on to the beach of 'Espiguette so wild and vast for beaching or superb walks .
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. It was decorated very tastefully, and equipped with everything you might need. The tower was charming and the cabana was very comfortable. The pool was lovely and we loved reading and socialising in the shady areas around the tower. We were a group of 5 teenagers and 4 adults. The area was great for lots of activities and we enjoyed lots of day out. Our host deserve special note as the were the kindest, most helpful hosts I have ever had at a gite! (15th visit to France!) Nothing was too much to ask, and we felt like friends when we left! I definitely hope to be back soon!!!!
We stayed at "La Tour" in May this year for 2 weeks with our 3 children (7, 5 and 2) and grandparents and it's been a fantastic time.
The tower and its garden are absolutely beautiful. The tower is very well equipped, although we've literally lived outside the whole 2 weeks enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The children loved just playing outside, using the pool and also "adopted" one of the cats of Francoise and Terry.
The tower is perfectly located for a lot of day trips to discover the South of France. We've been to the beach quite often (20 minutes), but have also visited sights nearby like Aigues Mortes, Le Grau du Roi, Nimes with its beautiful Arena and Le Pont du Gare, went on a fishing trip and enjoyed horse riding. And there is lots more!
Francoise and Terry have been lovely hosts helping with day to day questions and providing tips on places to go . Thank you to both of you for making our 2 weeks such a memorable time. We'll definitely be back :-)

The tower is set in beautiful grounds with loads of space. Francoise and Terry were wonderful hosts - always ready to help, make suggestions on where to go and share some of their delicious plums with us!
We were four adults and two children and used both the tower and cabanon, which offered my in-laws a bolthole of their own. The children loved the tower and having their own room.
The property is in 'n good location to get to the beaches at Grau de Roi as well as places like Nimes and the Pont du Gard.
The tower would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems or indeed for people with very small children that are not confident with stairs - the stairs are steep and there are lots of them! There is also no bath, which could again be a problem for people with young children who don't want to shower.
We arrived just after a bit of rain in the middle of August, so we were plagued by mosquitoes. If you are bothered by these pests you should definitely take lots of insect repellent.
Thank you Francoise &Terry for a beautiful week in La Tour!
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Aimargues (23.7.2011 to 6.8.2011). We used both the tower and adjoining cabanon. Our 20 year old daughter and boyfriend enjoyed the independence of having the cabanon to stay in. The owners Francoise and Terry and their family (and cats!) were extremely welcoming and generous hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We were very grateful for the kind gifts of tomatoes, herbs and vegetables from their garden.
The tower and cabanon had everything we needed. The garden offers a wonderful mixture of sun and shade in an informal setting with the added bonus of a ping pong table and boules piste. The swimming pool is a very short walk away across the garden and offers a welcome opportunity to cool off and relax.
The area itself is wonderful and the tower is a perfect base for exploring the Carmague and seaside resorts as well as towns and cities like Nimes and Arles. Even in a two week stay we really felt we needed more time to do and visit everything which the area had to offer. We were sad to have to leave! One word of warning is that the roads to Grau du Roi get very very busy in July/August so our tip is to go early or go late!
We can't thank Terry and Francoise enough for their hospitality and wonderful opportunity to stay in this lovely place.
