Our family of 6 enjoyed five nights in Ferryville. We fished, swam, and went sight-seeing around the area. We ventured to La Crosse, Lansing, and Prairie Du Chein as well as other areas. The house was very comfortable and well kept. With 4 teenagers the space was wonderful. Everything promised in the description was delivered. We enjoyed grilling and sitting by the fire off the patio. The firewood on site was a great benefit as well as the washer/dryer unit. Fresh flowers on the table greeted us. A much needed get-away to end the summer. We will definitely recommend!!
This cottage on the Mississippi is a perfect peaceful getaway. It boasts picture windows with a view of the Mississippi River and beautiful hardwood floors. The kitchen has everything we needed to make our own meals so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal on our vacation. For people staying an extended amount of time we noticed there was a washer/dryer unit in the house. Cottage is located in a small town with a beautiful drive into Prairie Du Chien and Wyalusing State Park. Deb allows pets so we were excited to be able to bring our entire family. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing home away from home getaway!
Deb was very accommodating allowing us to arrive as early as we wanted since there was nobody checking out before us. Full kitchen with all the amenities. Great place for staying along the river
Having full kitchen and laundry facilities is the best way to travel. This home has both, plus a patio and fire pit for relaxing at the end of the day. The owners are very friendly and accommodating of special requests. The house is located in town and close enough to walk to local restaurants, and the Mississippi and the town boat launch is also just a short walk away. Wander down and see who's catching what. Explore Wisconsin's scenic Great River Road and alphabet back roads.
The property was lovely! Deb was very accommodating and welcoming! House was very clean and well kept. She went out of her way to ensure our comfort! We will definitely go back again!
This is a beautiful quaint village between the bluffs and the Mississippi River on the loop of the scenic by way/the Great River Road.
