About the property

This newly renovated ranch sits in a quiet wooded area. The deck offers a peaceful setting for morning coffee, or a great place to enjoy a cool drink after a busy day out and about. The house offers many conveniences including laundry facilities and wireless internet. We also have a cell signal booster to enhance your service. The kitchen is fully equipped and air conditioners keep you comfortable.

The house is 2 miles from Bowdoin College, home of the Maine State Music Theater, the Bowdoin Music Festival, the Bowdoin Art Museum and the Perry-MacMillan Artic Museum. Downtown Brunswick is minutes away offering a wide variety of shopping, sightseeing and dining options.

Freeport and all it offers is 10 minutes away. Whether outlet shopping, touring on a lobster boat, visiting LL Bean or enjoying a Ben and Jerry's ice cream, Freeport has something for everyone.

There are 3 golf courses locally to test your skills. 9 holes within a mile of the house and 2 - 18 hole courses nearby. If championship golf if more to your liking, a visit to the Belgrade Lakes Golf Course, designed by Clive Clark, may be in order.

Water sports abound in our area. Access to the ocean is two miles from the house. Kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, fishing, bring it with you or rent/hire local equipment and/or guides. There is plenty of parking and turnaround room to accommodate your boat or trailer!

We love the Brunswick area and are confident that once you spend time here, it will be a destination of choice for many years to come!

Beautiful, peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently spent two nights here, and we loved it. The house is beautiful and well-maintained and surprisingly spacious. We spent a day just relaxing in the house, and it had everything we wanted, from books and a Roku to a great, well-stocked kitchen and grill for making dinner in. The house is also in a great location - it's on a nice, quiet road but is only a short drive in to Brunswick. We had a great time walking around the Bowdoin campus and Maine Street (there's also a very nice used bookstore, Twice-Told Tales, just off Maine Street). Although we didn't have a chance to make the trip, it is also pretty close to one of our favorite beaches in the area, Popham Beach. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we come to Brunswick!

Best vacation home in Maine

  • 5 of 5

This house was clean, updated, is beautifully decorated, has comfortable beds, pillows, and bedding, and comes with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies. Couldn't have asked for a better location for our mini 4-day trip to Maine. This home is easy to find, with immediate access to all things Brunswick, as well as quick access to many other roads highways to see all that mid-coast Maine has to offer. And the pre-season pricing was unbeatable. We will definitely be back!!!

All the comforts of home and more!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here was positively wonderful! We loved the town of Brunswick but our stay was extra enjoyable thanks to all of the thoughtful details of this property. We were able to cook breakfast and dinner in the fully equipt kitchen (there was even a lobster cooker available!), do a load of laundry and relax and watch a movie on a cold, rainy night. And that was only the beginning - we were able to bring our small dogs which LOVED exploring the large backyard. Marcia was even so kind as to have a fresh bowl of water waiting for them when we arrived. She has truly thought of every possible need for someone staying at her property! There were spare toiletries in the bathroom, paper goods in the kitchen and even things like bugspray and suntan lotion for those that would need it. This property is by far one of the nicest VRBO homes you will find - and all for a very reasonable rate!

This place has everything you need and it's always spotless and organized.

  • 5 of 5

This was our third time at Litch's place. It's very comfortable, well equipped and clean. We have enjoyed staying there with our 2 dogs whilst we visited our sons at Bowdoin College- just over 2 miles from campus. Middle Bay Rd is quiet, and the back yard is good for the dogs to have a good run. Also nearby is Mere Point, a beautiful spot for a quick dip. Marcia always checks in via email to make certain that we've arrived and found everything in order. She is very pleasant and nice to deal with. We highly recommend this property.

Wonderful cottage

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed 2 nights with my parents and everything was perfect. Beds are comfortable, kitchen facilities are amazing (everything is new and of good quality) and we enjoy the music at our disposal. Marcia was easily contactable and her advice was good (The Dolphin marina chowder is really good and the view worth the detour). I recommend to visit Pott's Point Preserve in Harpswell, it's beautiful and peaceful.

The house is situated a very scenic wooded area close to Bowdoin College-Museums and Brunswick which is a very beautiful village. The area is a Seafood Lover's paradise with many local lobster shacks selling lobsters right off the boat. Best oysters and clams I've ever had. The house is professionally decorated and has every thing you could ever need with Wi Fi etc.. Marcia was gracious to provide us a steamer along with directions for steaming the perfect Maine Lobster. Lovely outside deck with BBQ and wildlife right in your back yard. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to a future return. Rich VandeNoord, La Jolla, California
