Great Cabin, great host
We stayed in this cabin with my family and really had a great time. If you like the wild, want to ressource and rest in a beautiful area , that's the good place. The woods are beautiful and the lake view too. The Host is great, she helps you with everything !!!
Thanks a lot for this great place !
It was a nice remote location that was so peaceful. It was a nice break away from the hustle and bustle.
Our little family of five stayed and it was our absolute favorite family trip! We made so many memories and loved this cabin! It was my first time in the UP although my husband had been before. Our kids are 3 ½. 2 and 10 months and all three had a blast! Our 3 year old was really sad to leave and said he wants to go back to the cabin in the woods and we most definitely will! Best attraction near by is Pictured Rocks and something we had never heard of before that was also breathtaking was Kitch-iti-kipi!
Best rental we've ever had! Anywhere. Ever.
Where to start with this precious gem? Our family of four and another family of four spent three glorious nights in this beautiful cabin. Our children ranged in age from 8 to 13. I am a complete germophobe and I could not believe how immaculate the cabin was. It is beautiful. Well maintained. A perfect size. The kitchen is completely stocked, minus food, and the 2 bathrooms have everything you need. There is even 2 first aid kits in case someone needed a bandaid or a minor medical fix. A washer and dryer were also greatly appreciated as pouring rain dampened a fishing trip charter the men and boys went on.
The sleeping amenities are perfect for families. The two girls slept in the upstairs loft and the two boys slept in the bunk beds in the basement. While us parents each had our own private bedroom with plentry of room and huge closets for storage. There was also a huge closet in the entry way to keep all of our clutter out of the way and to hang coats. There was also a coat hook in the entry way with plenty of hooks to throw our jackets on there too when going in and out. The entry closet had lifejackets and beachtowels to use. A shoe rack provided ample room for all of our shoes to keep them out of the way as well. No small detail was overlooked.
They have a wonderful assortment of board games, jenga, puzzles, etc for keeping busy and enjoying family time. They have a TV but we never turned it on! Too many other fun things to do. We lit the upstairs fireplace and it provided just the right amount of heat and ambiance while playing games in the living room. We also LOVED using their canoe and kayaks to explore the beautiful lake right in the backyard! We saw fish, frogs and turtles. The kids were very excited.
It was just a 30 minute or less drive to Pictured Rocks. Well worth the short drive to stay in a place so wonderful. We were unable to have a fire in the backyard due to the rainy weather on the only night we had time, but I could only imagine how much fun that would have been. They have a great firepit, chairs, hammock and a wooden swing in the backyard to enjoy the time outdoors while some of the others in your party are kayaking on the lake.
Randy and his wife(the caretakers) were two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We had the pleasure of meeting them on the day we left. We will be back. Many thanks for making our time in the UP so wonderful. Whether you have just adults or families with kids, Camp Wade is perfect!
Beautiful cabin and property, great place to spend some quality bonding time.
Absolutely stunning property! Wonderful visit!
My family of 5 adults stayed here for 3 wonderful nights! We had a great time kayaking and relaxing. The house is absolutely beautiful & tucked way back in the woods... it made for some incredible star gazing!! I highly recommend staying here & hope to return again myself one day!
