The owners have been renting properties since 1980. They bought their first holiday rental at Huntingdon Place in 2003. They enjoy the holiday rental business because you allow us to meet new people all the time. They pride themselves in making a home from home for their guests. Providing the small extras can make such a difference to peoples level of satisfaction. has been in the hospitality industry for more than 40 years in Edinburgh.

Great Base for Edinburgh Visit

This was a convenient and homey place to stay while visiting Edinburgh. The flat was spacious, quiet, clean, and comfortable--tucked in a little enclave of buildings away from the busy streets nearby, yet within walking distance of all the attractions of the Royal Mile and New Town. And for those who don't want to do much walking, there are city bus stops just a couple of blocks from the flat (consider buying an all-day bus ticket for 4 pounds).

The kitchen is quite well equipped, and we appreciated the milk, bread, biscuits (cookies), tea bags, etc., that the owners provided. There is plenty of space to hang up and store your clothes--even for a longer stay--and in general, everything you might need for a comfortable stay. For groceries and other supplies, there's a smallish market a few blocks away. Communication with the owners was smooth, and Gordon was waiting for us in front of the building when our taxi deposited us there upon our arrival from the train station.

Very happy with this apartment would not hesitate in recommending it.

On arrival there were extra supplies provided which was very helpful and thoughtful. The unit was spacious and very clean .Location great And many good restaurants near by. We especially liked L'escargot Bleu . This has been one of the best places we have stayed in

Excellent flat in a nice, quiet location

I stayed in this flat for a week with two other women. It was comfortable, quiet and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The location was relatively central; about a 15 minute walk to Princes street. The neighbourhood is safe and there are grocery stores nearby. The only criticism I have is that the bedroom needed a black-out blind. The sun in Scotland doesn't go down until after 10 pm in the summer and rises around 4 am. The very bright room made it difficult to sleep deeply. This small point aside, it is a very homey, cozy place and the owner was attentive and made herself available to answer all questions.

A very comfortable flat within walking distance of many area sights. Hosts were great to have brochures and maps of local sights as well as restaurant menus. Enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
