Very comfortable and homely apartment. Angela was waiting for us at the flat with a warm welcome. Many thanks Angela for the generous welcome basket.

Flat close to centre - quiet and nice neighbourhood.

Great Base for Edinburgh Visit

  • 5 of 5

This was a convenient and homey place to stay while visiting Edinburgh. The flat was spacious, quiet, clean, and comfortable--tucked in a little enclave of buildings away from the busy streets nearby, yet within walking distance of all the attractions of the Royal Mile and New Town. And for those who don't want to do much walking, there are city bus stops just a couple of blocks from the flat (consider buying an all-day bus ticket for 4 pounds).

The kitchen is quite well equipped, and we appreciated the milk, bread, biscuits (cookies), tea bags, etc., that the owners provided. There is plenty of space to hang up and store your clothes--even for a longer stay--and in general, everything you might need for a comfortable stay. For groceries and other supplies, there's a smallish market a few blocks away. Communication with the owners was smooth, and Gordon was waiting for us in front of the building when our taxi deposited us there upon our arrival from the train station.

Excellent flat in a nice, quiet location

  • 4 of 5

I stayed in this flat for a week with two other women. It was comfortable, quiet and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The location was relatively central; about a 15 minute walk to Princes street. The neighbourhood is safe and there are grocery stores nearby. The only criticism I have is that the bedroom needed a black-out blind. The sun in Scotland doesn't go down until after 10 pm in the summer and rises around 4 am. The very bright room made it difficult to sleep deeply. This small point aside, it is a very homey, cozy place and the owner was attentive and made herself available to answer all questions.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and your positive comments. I am pleased that you found the flat comfortable, well equipped and in a good position. Can I say if it was the double bedroom it does have a black-out roller blind but it may not have been hidden by the cotton blind. Delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Huntingdon Place and hope to see you again. Angela
