Had a great time in July at this comfortable home in Ramrod. Great spot to enjoy the Keys the way they used to be. Fishing, snorkeling, or just enjoying the laid back vibe of the area. The neigborhood is clean and away from the hustle and bustle of Key West or Islandmarada. It's also not far from the touristy areas for day trips.
The house was well appointed with most everything you could need. Looking forward to next year's stay.
Dad and I stayed in April/ may with our blue healer Blu the house was cozy and quit lots of coconut trees to give that island feel the house every thing a person would need on vacation the breez comes down the water way and feels great going thru house and the best bath towels very thirsty and the most modern washer and dryer you can buy just great we will be back for sure .
Great little house in a great location. The house is very comfortable with a nicely equipped kitchen and very spacious living areas. The deck was our favorite hangout despite the El Nino winter with cooler temps and lots of rain. Tons of nearby restaurants and tiki bars - our favorite is the Wharf just south over the bridge on Summerland Key. The canal offered easy access to the ocean with our fishing kayak so we didn't have to car top it all over the place. And the owners are very generous with allowing use of the garage for storing bikes and fishing gear. I'll give it five stars when the new mattress arrives for the master bedroom :) January 2016
Our first stay and it was great. In fact, we have it reserved for this year! That should say it all.
The location is perfect, neighborhood is friendly, and the house is exactly what I hoped for. I had a wonderful time on Ramrod Key. It is the best of both worlds, quiet yet close to all the action. Thanks for a great month!!
This is a great location when visiting the Keys! The house is very comfortable and just as indicated in the description. It is close to Key West yet still in the portion of the Keys that is very laid back with a relaxing slow pace of life! There was plenty of room for parking our vehicles as well as the boat trailer. The boat ramp at the Looe Key Resort was adequate but if you have a boat longer than 24 feet it would be very tight! The access to the Atlantic and Gulf is great and many days my wife and I would fish and snorkel on the gulf side then run back to the reef on the Atlantic side for night time snapper fishing. The biggest plus for us was that we could bring our dog (Jack Russell) who loves to go on the boat!
All in all a great place, safe, secure and very comfortable! Already planning a return trip!
