We book month-long stays for a really reasonable price December, January, February. After that, it's all short-term-rentals. We love helping guests, so please ask us.
Voices carry on the river, so everyone must come into the house at 10:30 p.m. to continue the party. :)
WE ACCEPT ONE-NIGHT BOOKINGS FOR Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and even on Friday or Saturday if we happen to not be booked last minute, BUT YOU HAVE TO REQUEST IT BECAUSE PROGRAMMING MAKES US PUT IN A TWO-NIGHT MINIMUM.
We welcome sweet dogs! We charge $50 per stay per dog. All pets must be on a leash outside, and the dog gate kept up to keep them off the carpet in the loft. We can add this after you book if you decide later to bring your dog, but you'll need to accept the alteration to the reservation including the pet charges when we ask you to. Thanks!
THIS HOME IS NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. NO DIVING IN THE RIVER, PLEASE!

About Property Manager
My husband, Charles, and I have lived in Wimberley for 17 years. His family had one of the original camp houses on River Road when he was growing up in the 30s and 40s. It provided a place to get in the beautiful Blanco River and inspired us to build Ramsay House (also available here on HomeAway) and later we purchased Ramsay's Cozy Cottage - and now this newly built Laura’s River Lodge. Hosting has become my new full-time job, and I absolutely love it. Before this, I was a court reporter for twenty-five years, and hosting guests and making them happy is a lot more fun! Whenever I start to complain about anything, I just remember the tedious days of court reporting and visualize the happy smiles on my guests' faces when they arrive down here at the River at one of our places Edgewater. We were victims of the Memorial Day 2015 flood. Of the never-before-seen 50-foot wall of water, we had 11 feet of water in our home and bed and breakfast here on Edgewater Drive (built 2001) as well as 15 feet of water in our beloved cottage also along Edgewater. But not to worry. Everything is new, with no moldy smells at all detectable in our places. We appreciate your booking. We know you have many choices these days! Our top priority is your happiness once you've chosen one of our properties as a place for your vacation getaway. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I also have a dedicated co-host named Donna and a property manager and housekeeper, Leda. Thank you for your consideration! Warmest regards, Cynthia Ramsay

Why Property Manager chose Wimberley
In a few words, we believe this property has it all, and we built it to be a short term rental that has it all. First and foremost, the beautiful Blanco River as well as two outstanding parks that are within a few paces of the lodge. All the other amenities are listed here, but I'll reiterate the hot tub, beautiful view of the river and the Wimberley Valley, grilling porch, full kitchen, beautiful furnishings and Ralph Lauren linens throughout. This home is elevated above the newly proposed flood plain. It is not wheelchair accessible. All dogs must be on a leash when outside because we have a leash law in our area, and we don't want them chasing other dogs or running at people. If your dog likes to jump up into beds or on the furniture, please leave them at home. We have nice linens and furnishings and dogs that get in the river and then want to curl up on our beautiful beds or furniture is not what we want for our pretty place. Thank you for understanding.
What makes this House unique
This is a one-of-a-kind property designed by me to be elevated above the newly proposed flood plane for safety, yet to be beautiful. There are FEMA approved flood vents in the lower level along with two garage spaces, storage and a grilling porch. The beautiful hand-made, carved posts came from Taos, New Mexico and were made just for Laura's Lodge. You won't find another property like this one!

Great property - excellent location!
The house was great, we really enjoyed the river, and the location was ideal. Wimberley is a beautiful area, and we were just a few minutes from the center of town while still having the quiet and serenity of the river. Nice neighbors and great amenities - this house was perfect for our two families (3 adults, 5 kids). Bonus - we were able to ask questions of our host and received almost immediate feedback. Highly recommend this property - we'd love to stay again soon!
I had the best time with my friends at this house for New Year's Eve. It was very clean and the view was so pretty of the country. We'll definitely come back.
We sure enjoyed hosting you nice folks, and we look forward to your return, Emily.
Lovely home, very comfortable, and well stocked
The five of us all enjoyed Laura’s Lodge! The cookies were a welcoming treat upon arrival and house was very clean. We stayed for a weekend and after a trip to the local HEB cooked there at the house for most of our meals. We found plenty of supplies for both cooking and cleaning. The beds/linens were comfortable and a nice stock of blankets to use in the living room watching tv. The weather wasn’t so hot, but we still enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Oh, and we used the grill twice which was fabulous!! Other folks attending the wedding we were going to were envious of our fabulous house vs staying in some other local cabins. You won’t be disappointed renting this home and we will be back!! Thank you Cynthia for quick responses both before and during the rental.
Beautiful, new, clean, great view, well stocked!
It was a beautiful property. Everything looked new and clean. Great view of water and hills! Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms!
Great location, great home!
This home was wonderful for our family weekend in Wimberley. We are a family of 7 and the house was perfect size for us. We enjoyed all the river toys that Cynthia made available for our use. The chocolate cookies were a wonderful welcome! We loved the park down the street that we had access to, it was so peaceful and serene.
This is a beautiful property equipped with everything needed. The water is very close, just a short walking distance.
We are a quaint town with the famous Market Days the first Saturday of every month. It's one of the best in Texas.
Rates & Availability
Additional information about rental rates
Our rate is for six people. Please put in the correct number of people in your party so the system can calculate it for you. We don't allow shedding, long haired dogs. No cats. We do charge $50 per pet. Please ask us about your particular pet before you book as we need to add this fee onto the reservation cost. No dangerous breeds allowed. All dogs must be on a leash the minute they step outside the door. We really prefer you leave your pets at home. No animals are allowed upstairs in the loft on the carpet. Please choose another property if you want to play with your dog in the river and expect they'll come inside the house afterwards and lounge on our rugs, furniture and our beds. Yikes ! Thank you for your understanding and interest in our property. The Ramsays
