I am originally from San Diego and moved to NYC 20 years ago and as much as I love NYC I need a getaway and Maui for me is pure paradise. I rented at the Palms several times and fell in love with the property but was never that happy with the units I rented I think because I usually got carpeted units which I dislike and the entertainment features were old fashioned and I love to spend my evenings at home cooking and enjoying good movie. I am a Hairstylist and photographer in NYC and have a love for the right lighting so you always look your best. Peter Lik is a phographer that has inspired me to capture beautiful landscapes and I print the on fuji flexchrome crystal archive paper which is light sensitive which is why I have everything on dimmers. I also want to say that living in NYC I am exposed to the latest trends and styles. I love hotels like the W because they have a modern but simple way of making life feel new and refreshing and the old Hawaiian style with wicker, floral prints and old Hawaiian art is just so last decade I needed to go contemporary. With 2 nonstop flights to Honolulu from NYC I can only hope that my style will inspire you to stay with me.

After looking at alot of units in Kihei I just wasn't happy there, they are much older structures and uninspiring to me while the Palms feels like one of the most luxurious resorts in the world and feel very very inspired and lucky to be an owner here.
Things to do: Sunrise over Haleakala, The road to Hana, Big Makenna beach and Little beach, Snorkeling at Ahi’hi which is just passed Big Beach,
Restaurants I love are Monkey Pod, Pita Paradise (ask for Mike and tell him I sent you), Fancy dinner at Four Seasons Spago and Nicks Fish Market at Fairmont Kea Lani.
Try to visit Paia it’s a great place to hangout and shop and there is an organic market on Baldwin avenue called Mana foods that is amazing.
There is a restaurant passed Paia called Mamas Fish house which is one the top restaurants in the western hemisphere. Just passed Mama’s is an amazing beach called Ho’okipa that is a big windsurfing and surfing beach and there at sunset the turtles come out of the water on to the beach and spend the night so a very cool thing to watch.
The location and gounds of the Palms is unbelievable. Being a New Yorker I don't drive in the city and in Maui the spead limit is usually 30 miles an hour so no stress and the beaches and amazing hotels are minutes away and when driving here the time goes by so fast because of the surreal landscapes you take in everywhere you go.
Lawrence's beautiful photographs make the living experience so great. The simple, clean, modern furnishings and decor create a serene atmosphere which enhanced our vacation experience. The location is great though a bit noisy with two major streets on two sides. The central location made it quick and easy to go to Kihei and Wailea. All in all my wife and I had a very pleasant stay to mark our 45th wedding anniversary.
This condo was absolutely perfect. The location is close to all of the best beaches in south Maui. In addition, the decor is suburb, comfortable bed, beautiful lanai, and very well stocked kitchen for cooking. We would recommend this condo. We'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was very close to the beach and a pool, and there were chairs and gear we could use which was great. The room itself was quite nice and comfortable, including an excellent entertainment system and patio for us to hang out at. Lawrence was prompt to respond to any questions we had which was appreciated. If you are looking to stay in Wailea or Maui in general, this come recommended.
My husband and I and our two daughters spent 12 days in April at this beautiful condo at the Palms at Wailea. We had a wonderful holiday...absolutely beautiful! The condo is in a perfect location on Maui - only a two minute drive or ten minute walk from one of the best beaches on the island, Keawakapu. The sunsets on the beach were amazing and were also visible from the pool which is only a minute walk from the condo. The owner, Lawrence, is wonderful to work with - always available if needed. The condo is well-equipped, comfortable, and contemporary-decorated. After full days exploring the local beaches or island villages, we relaxed on the lanai for dinner or a game of cards or in front of the TV in the living room (Lawrence has all the best cable channels, including the best Sports channels!) The condo also provides 5-6 beach towels, snorkel gear, two beach chairs, a travel cooler for drinks, and an umbrella. The condo is spacious for a one bedroom and has two bathrooms - the King bed and couch bed are both very comfortable. We never needed A/C in the living room since the trade winds and the ceiling fan made it perfectly comfortable, but the bedroom A/C provided a nice break. The Palms at Wailea is perfectly situated near all amenities including the shops at Wailea, the beach town of Kihei, and the gorgeous restaurants at nearby Wailea resorts like Anduz (with sunset views). You can easily walk to these resort restaurants by the beach (down the hill) or the upper street, an added bonus! The condo does not provide an ocean view and is situated near the back of the property by the street, but the morning is filled with the sounds of birds and the shade on the lanai makes for the perfect place for a morning coffee (there is also a coffee grinder for fresh coffee, oh and a blender for drinks :)) If you're looking to stay in the gorgeous resort neighbourhood of Wailea at a fair price, this is a good choice.
Lawrence was great to deal with and he was responsive to any questions we had. We had a wonderful vacation, enjoyed many meals on the lanai, and loved the modem decor. Would definitely recommend and stay here again! We have a grade school daughter who have it a strong two thumbs up and we agree. Did I mention stellar location? Especially if you want high end resort living.
