Escape to Fourteen Oaks Ranch...Create your own experience.
Welcome to Fourteen Oaks, a place where you can fill your hours with activities or simply renew your spirit. It is centrally located in Northern California, about one and a half hours drive from the Sacramento Airport, and 20 minutes north of Marysville, in the city of Bangor.
The original ranch house, 2560 Sq. Ft., has four bedrooms and three baths and was built in 1998. The guesthouse, adjacent to the main house, 1100 Sq. Ft. consists of four bedroom/bath suites and was completed in 2012.
The open floor plan of the main house includes a living room. family room, dining room and kitchen with a dining nook. The moment you enter the expansive ranch estate it becomes your home away from home. The living areas are furnished with over-stuffed sofas, creating a mood for complete relaxation. The dining room displays a large wooden table that seats 12-14. The kitchen is large and is the hub of the ranch. It is fully equipped and ready for guests to create meals fit for a king. The family room has a TV, computer and a stereo system. The lovely picture window provides a spectacular view of the Butte Mountain Range which is BREATHTAKING. The four themed bedrooms have queen sized beds and are tastefully decorated; reflecting the gold rush era which creates a fun sense of whimsy. The guest house has 4 individual themed suites and extends the same spirit.
Envision yourself sitting on the porch that goes on forever with ceiling fans providing a soft breeze and the sounds of nature, creating a profound sense of calm. The porch showcases a beautiful backdrop for relaxing over your morning coffee or engaging in a lively happy hour while watching the sunset. The outdoor dining area can accommodate 12-14. There is large BBQ and also plenty of extra seating as well.
The grounds include a custom made stone fire pit, perfect for late night conversations and subsequent stargazing. The full sized shuffleboard and the horseshoe pits tempts you with challenging your fellow guests in friendly competition. Or if you prefer a lazy afternoon, the lawn area is canopied by a large oak tree; perfect for a picnic or an afternoon snooze.
The 220 acre working cattle ranch has rolling hills, oak trees and exotic animal pastures. The views are not to be believed and can be enjoyed from both inside and outside the home. The nature scape is lush and expansive creating a private atmosphere.
Included in the package is an interactive Animal Safari, Skeet shooting and archery. The surrounding area has a plethora of local activities to choose from. Terry and Roberta, my hosts, will introduce you to the Ranch and assist you in coordinating your daily activities.
Though raised in the Los Angeles area, I am a southern farm boy at heart. I am the 5th of 14 brothers and sisters and my family is an integral part of my life. I have a thriving CPA practice in Orange County, California and my focus has always been on creating a balanced life. I love Country Living and Southern Hospitality - the Ranch brings it all together.
Debbie Lee Morrow purchased this estate in 2006
In the rolling hills, majestic oaks, and sprawling vista, my vision unfolds in creating the perfect enclave of Southern Hospitality and Country Living.
My Ranch is a timeless treasure and I visit as often as I can. With every visit, new things are experienced and new places are discovered. I always feel the rejuvenating effect that rolling hills, animals (cattle, buffalo, zebras) grazing, open spaces, laughter, and great meals shared with friends can bring on! The place is magical and the power of simplicity takes over! It is a place you absolutely have to visit...an experience never to be forgotten!
The property would be perfect for: Family reunions and vacations, Friends get-a-way, Corporate retreats, Church excursions, Weddings, Receptions, weekend retreats, and so much more!
Our sincere gratitude to the owners and the caretakers, Roberta and Terry, for the unbelievable hospitality, kindness and genuine friendly attitude during our stay. The ranch is amazing, the accommodations are perfect, the privacy and seclusion is breathtaking. If you want to get away from the hustle of city life, this ranch is perfect. Terry and Roberta make you feel like family and will support you in whatever your needs are. We had 14 people in the main house, and it could not have been better, the horse shoes, the shuffle board, skeet shooting and beauty is 5 star all the way. I would recommend to any/all that are looking for seclusion, whether it is for a team building event or a family get away. Practice on your turkey calls and have fun with the wild turkeys that wonder through the yard. Perfect, thank you so much.
The 14 Oaks Ranch is a slice of heaven. The majestic Butte mountains, rolling green hills, and endless oak trees are incredible. Having the opportunity to feed buffalo, zebras, cows, and horses made it a trip of a lifetime. Terry and Roberta are incredibly hospitable and the house is spacious and comfortable! Can't wait to go back!
The experience of staying at 14 Oaks Ranch was a memorable and an unbelievable experience. I can feel myself beginning to unwind in stages, from the busy city life, the moment I arrived. As I entered the main house each room was identified with a theme and was enhanced with western artifacts. It made each room inviting and uniquely charming. Walking to the Indian artifacts was very interesting and a worthwhile stroll. Learning about the mines in the area, nature and the animals that thrive at the foothills of the Sierras was educational. The view from the porch was spectacular. At night you see no city lights but the stars are a show in themselves. Seeing zebra, walking among the buffalo (bison in North America) and feeding them was a new experience I felt by the end of our stay I was gone for 3 times as long and wished I booked my stay longer. I will return...
Excursions to Oroville: The Chinese Temple, Lott Home, and Ishi Building, Municipal Auditorium, Birdcage Theater, State Theater, and Cenntenial Plaza. Some of the surrounding must see places: Lake Oroville State Recreation Area, Feather Falls Casino, Chaffin Family Orchards, Grey Fox and Long Creek Wineries, Butte Mountains, and Chico.
Excursions to many of the great mountain towns that are located at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains gives the traveler an opportunity to go back in time...plenty of 'Gold Rush' history to take in! On your way back to the Ranch, stop at the local fruit and vegetable stands...'The Best!'
