Moose Wilson Road Condo Rental Photos and Description

1 bedroom, fantastic kitchen with quartz counters, walk in shower, lovely views

Perfectly located between the town of Jackson and Grand Teton National Park, this 1 bedroom condo is best suited for one or two adults. It's an end unit in a four condo building, and it is always cool during hot summer days with lots of light and views of the mountains. A queen-size sofa bed is located in the living room. The condo has been renovated in the spring of 2012 with a completely new kitchen which features stainless appliances, quartz counters, African mahogany cabinets, and a natural tile floor. Also in 2012, the bathroom was remodeled with twin china sinks, w/d, and quartz counters. In the spring of 2015, the shower was completely remodeled to be a full length walk-in shower tiled from floor to ceiling with tempered glass. The bathroom was painted in a light shade of blue, and all the woodwork in the condo was painted. The bedroom's queen-size mattress has a gel covering over a firm Posture-pedic mattress and hypoallergenic padded mattress pad for a softer feel. The bed linens are 400 thread count sheets (Ralph Lauren/Hotel and similar) with an organic duvet cover, down comforter, and cotton coverlets. The living room is decorated with beautiful artwork by Western artists and a combination of Western and contemporary furnishings. The Sony TV is HDMI (cable) and the accompanying Sony sound bar provides excellent acoustics. The fireplace is especially welcome in the winter months whereas in the summer months we love being out on the deck during the long evenings after we have recreated in the valley or returned from dinner at one of the great local restaurants within a few minutes walk. A large dining table comfortably seats four, and there is a counter with red leather bar stools. The location is perfect as there are tennis courts just outside the entry door, the bike path is adjacent to the Aspens, Teton Pines next door has world-class golf and tennis. There is a coffee house and market + deli a few minutes' walk from our condo, and we are only 4 miles from Teton Village where there is a famous summer music festival, hiking, restaurants, and a chance to paraglide, mountain bike, or go up in a hot air balloon. And when you least expect it when you look out the windows, you may see a moose munching on blueberry bushes! World class skiing is just 5 miles down the road in Teton Village and cross country skiers have an abundance of choices of places nearby to ski (or snowshoe).

About Susan McKay

My daughters and I and our dogs have been coming to Jackson Hole for decades. I have lived in Wyoming since 1966, and my daughters were born and raised here. I recently retired from the University of Wyoming where I was a professor for 35 years. We love to hike and bike and eat at the wonderful JH restaurants. Sitting on the deck in the picture is our summer delight as we watch the aspens quivering and enjoy this beautiful place. In winter months, the moutains are clearly visible from the condo.

Susan McKay purchased this condo in 1997

Why Susan McKay chose Wyoming

The condo is beautifully decorated and so comfortable and convenient to everything. If you want a day at the pool or to work out in the gym, just walk to the Teton Sports Club. If you want to play tennis, just walk out the door! Want to bike ride? The bike path that winds through the valley is accessible directly from the condo. Feel like rafting or fishing? The Snake River is a few miles away and in very warm weather, people like to have picnics on 'Wilson Beach or explore the ponds and trails at the newly-opened R (Rendezvous) Park which borders on the Snake River. There is a nature area on the East bank of the Snake River with long walks/runs for those inclined, and you will probably see at least one bald eagle. Want to shop or hunt for beautiful art? The town of Jackson is just a 10 to 15 minutes drive (traffic can be congested in the summer) with an array of galleries and fine restaurants.

What makes this condo unique

We chose this property because we had rented in the Aspens for years and loved the location. When we first walked into our condo, we fell in love with its quiet beauty and the views (though the aspen trees have grown since then and the view is now best in the winter when the leaves are gone). Since then, we've made many upgrades -- most recently in 2015.

Upscale, comfortable condo close to everything

  • 5 of 5

All the comforts of home. Upscale, well-appointed condo in a lovely community close to Jackson and Grand Teton Ntl Park entrance. Super clean and very cozy. A real value for the $$. Gourmet market and liquor store within walking distance and close to a couple of nice restaurants, although you could prepare meals as there is a full kitchen. Moose visit (mom and calf) several times during our stay! Yes, the area is a little pricey, but you know that going in, right? Might not recommend if visiting Yellowstone because that park is a bit of a drive but individual preference obviously dictates. Grand Teton is right here and you could spend a couple of days just there. Highly recommend and would stay here again next time we're in the area. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful place with us.

Wonderful Time in Comfortable Aspenglow near Tetons

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a wonderful three nights and two full days at Aspenglow near Grand Teton National Park. Very comfortable one bedroom condo, conveniently located to the park and Jackson Hole. We were even greeted by a friendly female moose on our front lawn upon arrival. Deli and upscale grocery within walking distance amid beautiful surroundings. I spent one day fishing and caught trout that we cooked at the condo while we visited the park and hiked around on another day, seeing black bear and antelope. Go to Jackson Hole Resort that is so close you could hit it with a rock and ride the trolley to the top of Rendezvous Mountain for a great view of the valley and Jackson.

Thank you for a great and comfortable vacation in Jackson Hole.

Fantastic property!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic property and very clean! Easy and quick access to the Tetons National Park and downtown Jackson. If you arrive at night like we did, it's easiest to find the unit by knowing it's an immediate left turn after the second speed bump. Also, we saw a moose at the adjacent building next to the tennis courts eating leaves from the tree - pretty awesome!

Quiet comfort outside of Jackson's hustle and crowd

  • 5 of 5

Susan's condo is well-appointed, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. She has really thought through every comfort and necessity you could need and I appreciated the attention shown. The development it's in -- The Aspens -- is located outside of Jackson, but within easy striking distance of GTNP and Jackson's amenities. To me, that's the perfect combination.

Yes, as some other reviewers have noted, when the unit above you uses the water, whether toilet, shower or washing machine, you do hear the water flowing down the pipes in the wall next to the bedroom. However, since I had been made aware of this through previous reviews, it didn't surprise me and, I have to say, didn't bother me at all. The people above me were up early, but I was too in order to get into the Park to hike, so it was no problem for me.

Susan's communication was always friendly, prompt, and informative. I would stay in her condo again gladly should I ever be in the area and would very much look forward to a repeat experience.

Exceptional condo, excellent location

  • 5 of 5

Very nice condo in an excellent location for all activities. Had everything we could possibly need. Would, definitely stay again. The most exciting part was when we were leaving the condo and turned on the main road and there was a large moose standing there!! Got a great picture of it for the grandkids!

Clean, convenient, well located property

  • 5 of 5

The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, etc..

The property was very clean and well-maintained.

The owner provided great customer service - following up via emails.

We would recommend this property to our friends or relatives.

We enjoyed the wide life and mountaineering in the Tetons (Static Peak, Cody Peak, various lakes...).

The tram ride to Rendez-vous mountain is a must (starting at Teton Village).

Nice restaurant at Signal Mountain Lodge (The Trapper).

Car: necessary

The condo is on the West Bank of the Snake River, between Wilson and Teton Village. Access to the Snake River and R Park is 3 miles away where there is a wonderful nature area for long walks and bike rides. The airport is a 1/2 hour drive, the town of Jackson is 10 to 15 minutes minutes from the condo, and the South entrance to Yellowstone is an hour + (depending on traffic). The Aspens is next door to Teton Pines County Club and golf course. Both residential areas have access to a deli & market, sports club with pool, coffee house, small shops, and a wine store. The bike path goes by the Aspens to the Grand Teton Park (GTNP) entry going north, to Wilson going southwest and part way up Teton Pass or to the town of Jackson and north from there to the elk refuge and Grand Teton National Park. At nearby Teton Village, there is world-class skiing and many summer activities including riding the tram to the top. Convenient bus service is an alternative to driving, with the bus stop a short walk from the condo.

Notes:
You will feel like "home" in this condo as every little detail has been considered to make your stay comfortable. The Aspens is a wonderful location to enjoy all the sights including walking to nearby restaurants, a market, Teton Pines golf resort, and small shops including a fun coffee house and a sports club. The condo building has only 4 units so there is not a lot of traffic, and the bedroom window faces a tennis court and views of Teton Pines. The Snake River, Rendezvous (R) Park, and Emily's Pond are wonderful places for nature lovers only 3 miles from the co. The bike path is a short walk/bike ride and weaves throughout the valley. You can quickly be in Wilson -- only 4 miles away -- for coffee at Pearl Street Bagels or Nora's for breakfast. For hikers, there is access to many trails not far from the condo --either on Teton Pass (just past Wilson) or in GTNP which is 5 miles from the condo. Wildlife viewing is ample with moose often seen around the condo.
