Minimum Stay 3 - 4 nights

About the property

3 Night Rental Minimum

We purchased this rare property in 2012 and finished renovating shortly after. Everything is brand new and we are happy to share with those who will appreciate and take good care of our beautiful peace of heaven. You will find extreme privacy with our beach front home. We have 3 acres on the lake side and an additional 7 acres across the street for additional exploring and a trout stream running through entire property. The architects that designed the home are truely amazing, bringing outside in with a massive cathedral ceiling with 26 windows allowing views of the lake and nature from every seat. You'll feel relaxed the moment you see the Nantucket style exterior and walk into the beautiful knotty pine interior. We have 2 bedrooms, one in which you can sleep 3 children comfortably and a master queen room. A full bath and a 1/2 bath on main floor. Also, a brand new pull out queen sleeper in great room. Our sand is beautiful and our children can never get enough of it! You will enjoy the sound of the waves giving you the feeling of being on the ocean and can also hear the flowing stream on calm days. Enjoy natural fires in our ledgestone fireplace and have your choice of 2 fire pits outside, one by the cottage and one right on the beach. We have an amazingly sunrise and sunset giving you the best of both worlds.

We have satelite TV service with all the movie channels for you to enjoy on our tv in the main room mounted over the fireplace and the tv in the kids room. Both tv's have a DVD player and the kids room has WII (We only have 1 remote and a few games so bring extra.) We have a easy to use Keurig coffee maker. Relax and enjoy your stay. Homeowners- Ryan, Leanna Quillan and Brian, Kim Hanley.

A Charming Respite

  • 5 of 5

A Lake Huron haven. The house is positioned to allow a fantastic view of the lake and the intoxicating sound of the waves permeated everything. We loved the cabiny feel with all the luxuries of home. Brian’s suggestions about local highlights also proved very helpful. We would definitely rent again!

Relaxing Vacation

  • 4 of 5

House was awesome with some cool views of the lake. Bed we're comfortable and house was clean. Pictures need to be updated on website. There is no beach at this house it is all under water. Brian was nice enough to let us know before hand, that it has been this way for sometime now. There is a nice beach 5 miles for the house. Had the whole beach area to ourself. Short distance to Mackinaw Island which is a must to see. Water is clear as the Caribbean, amazing. The grounds around the house could be mowed and trimmed a little better, the weeds around the deck were as tall as my 2 yr old. The neighbor was super nice and came and mowed for us so our kids could have room to play outside in the sand. Overall great Vacation!! Would stay again.

Nice Clean House, just like the photos

  • 5 of 5

House was just like the photos, and was easy to find with the directions from the owner. Location was secluded in the woods, with an awesome view of the lake and on a clear nights, a great view of the Stars. House had lots of windows to open to allow you to feel the breeze and hear the waves. The house is newer and feels like a home more than an old cottage. House was clean and furnishing were new and comfortable. It's only a 15 minute ride into Cheboygan for Restaurants and Stores or whatever you might need. We took advantage of the short drive to Mackinac City to access the U.P. and Mackinac Island. We did not use the beach or go into the lake, but beach was smaller than expected and walk down to the beach was a dirt path with some tricky stairs. Not much "yard" to use if needed for kids, but overall we had no complaints with the house and its amenities as it was everything it said it was. Owner was very easy to contact and response times to questions were very quick. It was perfect for the wife and I to get away for a few days and relax and site-see when we wanted.

Lovely cottage with beautiful view of Lake Huron.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week at this cottage with sunny days and low 80's every day. It is a beautiful spot that is surrounded by trees, very relaxing and even has an awesome creek running through it only a few steps from the driveway. We went to Mackinac Island one day, on a Light House Cruise one day, and over to Leggs Polish Restaurant on Lake Michigan (45 minutes) another day. Saw several beautiful sunsets and sat on the beach enjoying the peaceful beauty of northern Michigan. The cottage was very clean with all modern appliances and comfortable beds (so happy about that!) The only problem to note is that the beach and water this year was very high and very rocky so you should bring water shoes.

Best of both worlds

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay. We enjoy the beach and romping around in the woods, so this home fit us perfectly. The kids loved exploring the stream in the woods and looking for sea glass on the beach. You are inky an hour from Nackinc Island too, so a visit is completely do-able in a day.The home us clean and comfortable. Two thumbs up from us!
