About Kendall Hale

I am a professional massage therapist and yoga instructor, gardener, violinist, vocalist, and spend lots of time hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I live at Sharon Spring, a family homestead with my husband, dog, a few chickens, and sometimes cows. We are bee keepers, gardeners, grow raspberries, blueberries and harvest wild blackberries all over our pastures. We make applesauce from a few apple trees, jams from the berries, and honey from our precious bees that we struggle to keep alive.

Kendall Hale purchased this cabin in 1995

Why Kendall Hale chose Asheville Area

We moved here from Boston 23 years ago, and fell in love with the Asheville area. The magical blue mist of the mountains captured our imagination, and within a year we purchased this old tobacco farm in Fairview, with its overflowing spring, song birds, flowering trees, and pastures. We love outdoor swimming, so within 2 years added a pond a dock and gazebo. It has been a labor of love, caring and re-creating this very special place to enjoy and share with our guests and visitors.

What makes this cabin unique

We lived in the original farmhouse, built a second home, and then created Sharon Spring Cabin, combining my bodywork and yoga skills, our love of wood burning sauna, and our desire to create a sustainable homestead where I could host guests in a peaceful, relaxing environment close to the exiting city of Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and outdoor adventures for biking, walking, bird watching, hiking, & water sports.

Beautiful getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful weekend away from kids, jobs and real life and we found it at Sharon Spring. Gorgeous views of the mountains on a lovely piece of land. The cabin itself is warmly appointed without feeling fancy. Highly recommend adding a wellness package, too! Our host, Kendall, offered terrific massages and we also took a morning sauna on the first floor of the cabin. A short distance (about 20 minutes) from Asheville and surrounded by beautiful hikes, it's the best of both worlds. We'll definitely go back.

Cozy with incredible views

  • 4 of 5

The open concept of the space is even more pronounced with the beautiful views from the bedroom area, living room, & both decks. The hot tub was wonderful after days of hiking. The hike up through the forest and down to the pond on the grounds were like our own private adventure, these are a must!

My sister, niece and I stayed at Kendall's cozy cabin retreat in June. The views were just gorgeous from the open airy space. We took advantage of the sauna, massages and yoga too. Everything was just perfect! We took the dogs on hikes around the property during the day and enjoyed the beautiful starry sky at night. We slept soundly and comfortably on the beds. The cozy kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our meals and the grocery stores were close by whenever we need to resupply. Kendall had an ample supply of movies and books to keep us entertained. But the gorgeous views and surrounding gardens were enough to keep us entertained and at peace! We cannot wait to come back again next year.

A true gem

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Sharon Springs to celebrate our 13th anniversary. It was an extremely relaxing weekend- the perfect getaway! We loved the beautiful views, and the quiet, simple comfort of the cabin. We were able to sleep with all the windows open and awake to the sound of birds chirping in the morning. Being able to get a massage and use the sauna were just an added bonus, along with watching fireflies in the pasture from the hot tub. Thanks Kendall for creating a place where one can truly feel relaxed, restored and at peace! We will definitely return!
