Fantastic Location - but needs upkeep

  • 2 of 5

This apartment overlooking the Piazzo was a fantastic location. Central to everywhere we wanted to go and the atmosphere, restaurants and views in the Piazzo were great.

However, the apartment itself needs some work. The door to the balcony was off its hinges, the manager had a guy fix it, but two days later it literally fell off the hinges again and hit my wife. The bathroom is much smaller than it appears in the photos, and if you are over 5'4" you will not be able to stand and take a shower. Also, the shower pull would not stay in place so it was near impossible to keep the shower head flowing - we had to tie a washcloth around it to hold it in place. The water pressure would drop to almost nothing if someone else in the apartment (or the restaurant below us) turned on the water. The electrical sockets were coming out of the walls, and at one point we lost power and had to reset the breakers. The shutters on the balcony were also loose.

You should expect steps to the apartment, you have to walk up one set, then down a set, then up narrow steps once in the apartment to get to the living space.

With a little maintenance this would be a great, afforable place to stay in central Rome.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a very unique property. The view of Piazza Novona could not have been better. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck watching the world go by in the square. Luca was fantastic in making sure all details were taken care of, right down to our transportation to and from the airport. The unit was clean and had good wi fi connection. If there is any downfalls, it would be the bathroom. It is very small, short and there is not a easily useable shower. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. The apartment is just above Piazza Navona, close to everything. Even with that location, it was very quiet. Fully equipped, there's a small market nearby for groceries. It's bright and modern with lots of storage. Our only issue was there was not a lot of water pressure in the kitchen, just a slight inconvenience. We'd go back in a heartbeat

Owner's Response: We are very happy to know that you had a great stay in Rome and enjoyed staying in the apartment! Unfortunately the water pressure problem is a general problem in the centre of Rome. Since all Rome was built on the ancient ruins, it is hard to make changes in basic systems, like water - system, channels! However we hope to see you again in Rome! Regards, Petra and Luca

Great Time!!!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time in the Piazza. Its a great area with many great restaurants. I woudl recommend going off the beaten path a few streets as the food is better and more resoanbly priced. The apartment well taken care of the owner was very accomodating. We worreid about the noise but that wasnt an issue at all. The bedroom is in the back of the apartment so it was perfectly fine. The stairs going up to the apartment are very steep and the bath is very small, so if youre a bigger person it migth be tough.....but the beyond that it was well worth it. We had a great time.

Excellent location, very responsive management

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the apartment! It was in the best location I can imagine and was very comfortable. We were there 8 nights and had a great stay. The living area looks out over Piazza Navona, the kitchen was adequately stocked, and the bedroom had a king-sized bed and lots of storage. The only drawback is the bathroom--tiny, slanted walls, just a hand-held nozzle for a shower, no shower curtain--a bit of a challenge, but do-able. It wouldn't keep me from staying there again, just be aware. Also, the manager was very responsive with our minor problems (e.g. light bulb in stairway burned out, missing wine glasses). These minor things were addressed immediately. One thing: I don't think the apartment would be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as accessing it involves a couple different sets of stairs, one of them narrow and winding. Overall, we really loved our stay there and will have fond memories of the apartment, the neighborhood, etc.

Excellent Location!

  • 3 of 5

Great tiny apartment. Just the essentials-no frill place to stay. Only real negative was the shower or lack of. You learn to wash with one hand, if you are short you can stand up as the ceiling is very low in the bath. I would stay again but not my hubby.
