The property was awesome and the pictures I don't think give it justice! The entire basement area is basically a house of its own while the main floor and upstairs is huge. We had 7 kids and they all stayed downstairs with the pool table. The rap around porch was amazing too. Make sure when you arrive that you pull into the driveway of the house and keep going. The cabin is on the right. We made the mistake of passing it a few times! The lake was great as we all went fishing and played in it. We had no service so make sure you are prepared to drive into town to make a call. There is also no liquor store anywhere near there as it is a dry county. We had to drive to Chattonooga! I will be coming here again!! House has everything you need for cooking. The grill was great but I would recommend foil to wrap on it! Lid is flimsy so you have to kinda make it work but it still cooks great.(Charcoal). Dish was good too!!

Wonderful, relaxing get away.

We rented this property for a family vacation with our adult children. The photos of the property do not do it justice. There were only 6 of us but this home is spacious enough to accommodate many more! Everyone had lots of room and we spend our evenings playing pool in the game room or just hanging out for some quality time on the wrap around deck. The beds are super comfortable our hosts provided all of the linens and towels we needed.

The home is situated in a very private area. We saw deer and wild turkeys every day. The mountain views are also spectacular. It is a bit out of the little town of Trenton and a short drive if you want to go into Chattanooga but it is perfect for those looking for a quiet retreat!

Best of all, Virginia is the kindest and most helpful owner I have ever encountered in years of renting on VRBO. She made everything so easy, responded to every question and request in a timely manner. She was a joy to work with! If you're looking for a great mountain get away, look no further, you have found it!!!

Amazing!!! We absolutely loved it and intend to use this property again!

Beautiful setting, spacious, well stocked with the necessities...clean, relaxing and peaceful environment. We loved having the multi-floor layout to accommodate teenagers and multiple couples. We enjoyed the open floor plan and the many windows to see and appreciate the fabulous mountain view. It was exactly what we hoped for and was a great trip for our families!

The cabin was great to look at and so neat and tidy. It was close enough to Chattanooga for us.

We loved staying at the cabin, close to nature and with all the modern amenities we loved having available to us. The kids enjoyed the game room. I loved the kitchen and living area.

A great familiy gathering!

  • 4 of 5

Family members from 3 states met at the Rising Fawn cabin. It was perfectly located off I-59, merely 25 min from Chattanooga, 20 min from Cloudland Canyon State Park, and 15 min from the grocery store (Exit 11). The common area and basement were hits for all ages to connect, play, and visit. I would recommend bringing ALL necessary ingredients for ANY cooking you plan on doing. There was no foil, cooking spray, tupperware, etc. Also, most pots and pans stick; I suggest bringing just a couple of your favorite pans for all to prepare meals. Also, after 3 days, we had to make another run to the grocery for garbage bags and paper towels. Bring extra to begin's better to be safe than sorry.

Owner was very helpful with locating the cabin, giving insight to the resort (horseback riding, dumpster), as well as responsive. She answered on the first call.

Beautiful location. The closest lake was only a 5 minute walk over the hill of the driveway. Walk-ability of the location for down time was wonderful! Yard and porch were our favorite places.

HIGHLY recommend this cabin!
