Studio Marciac offers an optional base for an additional two people

Idéalement située

  • 4 of 5

Delightful stay in central village property

  • 5 of 5

Charming well maintained flat in a wonderful location , close to shops and several excellent cafes and restaurants. The property is well maintained and clean and I would certainly recommend it to friends and relatives, though I would suggest that elderly people might find the mezzanine bedroom arrangements a little difficult to negotiate. If you are it and healthy and used to stairs you should have no trouble.

The Bastide village of Marciac is beautiful and very interesting . It boasts some lovely walks and has a pretty lake with a couple of restaurants on it's shore. If you are lucky you may also enjoy some good Concerts in the new concert hall, usually on a Saturday evening. I thoroughly enjoyed the peace and beauty of the attractive property.

A peaceful area in the heart of JIM!

  • 5 of 5

Very good and nice place for being in the heart of JIM festival!

Just a step from the fortified village or the evening shows, you can't miss any event!

Also very convenient, you can find many shops, bars and restaurants around there.

Above all these points, the studio and the garden are a perfect peaceful area to chill out and visit the region.

A fantastic base to explore...

  • 5 of 5

Steps from the village square with its wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants; this is an ideal place to base yourself to relax and enjoy the local pace of life, explore the region - or both! We made easy and enjoyable day trips to Pau, Lourdes and Auch during our short stay and there are plenty more places to explore.

We stayed in the Studio and it has everything you could need. Note that the sunken bed upstairs requires a climb up a steep flight of stairs but it was quite good fun once you got used to it!

Marciac, a charming bastide town dating from the end of the 12th century, is a village of 1200 inhabitants. It is situated mid-way between Auch and Tarbes, and a hour an a half from Toulouse.

The medieval arcades come alive with the rhythm of the Gers as host to the international Jazz in Marciac (JiM) festival in August and similar events during weekends in autumn, winter and spring.

Surrounded by undulating hills, between the Garonne and the Pyrénées there is a little corner of paradise waiting to be discovered, where, quite simply, life is good. You can unwind and relax surrounded by nature. Visit Gascony, bordering Spain, with its gentle rolling hills, golden light and magnificent sunsets. You will discover the discrete elegance of this land of the south where modern strife passes into the shade, and where the taste reaches the height of fine art.

Some of the friendliest people, finest wines, and heart warming Armagnac can be found within a 30 minute radius.

Other Activities: Lakeside, Jazz Festival, Country & Western events, Course Landaise, Rugby, visit wine producers
