A classic French townhouse with a stylish authentic interior. It has a sitting room looking onto a 14th century church, kitchen/dining area, ground floor w.c., curved staircase leading to the en-suite bedrooms. The master bedroom is stunning with balcony overlooking the private courtyard (and beyond) that links Maison Marciac to the Studio (with its own private entrance). It is furnished with a queen size bed and a single bed and has an en-suite shower room (and w.c.). The courtyard is a sun trap.
The tastefully restored property is approximately 100 metres from the attractive market square of the ancient bastide village. Marciac is a great little town with lots to commend it outside the famous Jazz Festival. Plenty of great restaurants, quirky shops and walks round the lake on your doorstep.
The house itself is spacious, homely and has all mod cons. Located directly opposite an impressive church and within 20 yards of the main square you could not be better placed within Marciac itself. More broadly, this would serve as an ideal base for exploring the facinating Gers region.
We 4 Australians can highly recommend this delightful private and clean holiday home. Situated within 100 meters of the Town Square which has all the facilities one could require including 2 boulangeries, chemist, small supermarket, bars, restaurants and a doctor. The house on 2 levels is situated directly opposite the village church which creates a charming outlook. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor have individual en-suites and are well separated allowing privacy. The rear courtyard is complete with a BBQ and is a lovely sun trap on colder days. The owners were most helpful both with directions and provisions (we missed a hairdryer which was promptly supplied). There is much to do in the surrounding area. Visit Pau, the Pic du Midi in the Pyrenees, or drive the quiet local roads and enjoy the tranquil countryside. For those interested in a good meal go to the lovely restaurant Chez Gorka at Tillac, a 10 minute drive southeast of Marciac. Tillac is also a lovely village worth visiting. Marciac is a quiet working village which evidently comes alive during its world renowned jazz festival in July. We would certainly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

Una settimana di musica, buona cucina e confort!
My wife and I found the Maison du jazz an excellently maintained and superbly located property within easy walking distance of the enchanting town of Marciac. The house is very well appointed/serviced and we are both more than happy to recommend 'Maison du jazz' to others. Marciac in particular is located in an exceptionally pretty area of rural France within driving distance of Pau, Lourdes and Biarritz amongst other tourist destinations. The town of Marciac is full of historical character, friendly and moves at a refreshingly unhurried pace.
Excellent and comfortable accomodation. Includes all 'mod cons' in a peaceful location but still in the heart of Marciac - within walking distance of all the cafes, restaurants and shops. There is a weekly market in the square that offers a range of interesting local produce and the house is a perfect centre for visiting places of interest in the Region. We thoroughly recommend it!
Marciac, a charming bastide town dating from the end of the 12th century, is a village of 1200 inhabitants. It is situated mid-way between Auch and Tarbes, and a hour an a half from Toulouse.
The medieval arcades come alive with the rhythm of the Gers as host to the international Jazz in Marciac (JiM) festival in August and similar events during weekends in autumn, winter and spring.
