We have beach umbrella, boogie boards, beach chairs and cooler for your use. Eco-friendly toiletries and cleaning supplies help keep Kauai green .We support local green businesses and encourage our guests to do so as well.
Condo has lovely swimming pool, hot tub, floodlit tennis court and barbecue area. Short oceanfront walk to Shipwreck Beach and enjoy the fabulous Grand Hyatt Hotel -and if you want, continue on to the spectacular 4-mile Maha'ulepu Heritage trail - never having to set foot on the road! Or if world-famous Poipu Beach with its swimming, snorkelling, boogie boarding and surfing is your destination, a pleasant 10 minute walk from the condo will get you there.
Our condo is on the southern-most tip of the island and is the perfect spot for whale, dolphin, and turtle spotting from the lanai or even from the comfort of bed! Panoramic 180 degree ocean views, with both sunrise and sunset visible from lanai during the winter months.
We look forward to ensuring you have a fantastic vacation.

We love the tranquility of this spot, with the endless ocean views and the restful sounds of the ocean waves. It's fantastic to be able to walk everywhere - to fancy hotels and restaurants and to lovely swimming beaches and snorkeling spots. You feel like you're in a totally private house once in the condo - nothing in the view except the magnificent ocean. In season one sees humpback whales and dolphins swim by. All year round one sees the turtles playing in the waves.
Outstanding location - pure ocean views. Short walk to great hotels, golf course, restaurants, swimming and snorkeling beaches.
A special place for an 80th birthday. The condo exceeded our expectations. Did and saw a lot in a short time and will be back.
We had a great time, and loved the property. The view from the Lanai was unbelievable (Although the pictures are great, you really have to see it to believe it).
Everything we needed (and many things we didn't realize we needed) was available. Everyone was very helpful, and we never had a problem.
We loved the condo and the location. It's very private- it was just the two of us and the big blue sea, and the crashing waves, and the turtles and the clouds floating above and colored by sunrise and sunset.
You see the ocean as soon as you enter the living room. You see the ocean from kitchen, from the master bedroom, from the lanai. You hear the ocean too!
This is an end unit at the end of the property line for Makahuena so on that side you have the trade winds blowing in and cooling the condo and the Hawaiian Naupaka bushes providing a privacy screen. There's a nice small lawn immediately in front of the unit visited by the local birds.
We can hardly wait to return to visit again, and again.
Listing is totally accurate. Property is clean, well-maintained. It even has really good lighting in case you are a reader (like me!). The owners replied promptly to our questions. On-site management was equally prompt.
I would recommend this property to friends, relatives, anyone who loves to be near the ocean.
Favorite walks include walking from The Makahuena past Shipwrecks beach and onto the Makawehi lithified sand dune, walking along the beach at Mahaulepu, walking down to and along Poipu Beach down to Kiahuna and Sheraton.
Both Kukui'ula and Poipu shopping centers are worth visiting. When visiting Kauai we've enjoyed eating at Puka Dog, Keiko's, Tortilla Republic, Bubba Burgers, Lapperts Ice Cream, Papalini Gelato Grocery shopping (and custom salads) at Living Foods at Kukui'ula as well as groceries from Big Save in Koloa.
The condo was all we had hoped for and more....family had a great time on the island and was able recharge nicely there and or just hang and watch the mesmerizing ocean 80 yards away with turtles and dolphins passing by....a wonderful spot for sure.

We have stayed at a number of places on Kauai and this was our favorite. The condo is beautiful, spacious, and well appointed.
The view is amazing, right on the shore, with a 15 minute walk down to Shipwrecks beach for swimming. In fact we hiked all the way along the coast from this condo to Maha'ulepu Beach (about an hour one way, I think). You can't access trails like that from too many properties.
If you are coming with friends, please note the disparity between the amazing master suite and the comparatively small and dark second bedroom. It's fine for kids but would otherwise feel unfair.
We went on our family vacation and stayed at this beautiful place. The waves crash right outside the window of the master bedroom! We watched turtles swim around and even saw dolphins swimming by. The house was kept up very well and had everything we needed. We took the boogie boards down the street and rode them at beautiful Poipu beach. This was the perfect place for our family and we will definitely stay there again! The owner was very responsive too!
This place was amazing, great for couples or small families. We will return, owners and property management welcomed use and took care of any questions or issues in timely manner while here.
Take a 12 minute stroll along an ocean path which leads to the Hyatt Hotel with great restaurants and shopping. Continuing past the hotel leads to a spectacular easy cliff walk/ hike for many miles - it goes past the Hyatt Hotel's world class golf course.
A short 8 minute walk in the other direction takes you to wonderful swimming/ snorkeling and boogie boarding beaches and surfing spots.
