A newly built luxury second floor 1,500 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment on the beach at White Sands in St Lawrence Gap. Incorporating 2 en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans and top of the range finishes such as cedar French doors and windows, the condominium comes fully equipped and furnished and includes satellite television for high quality reception with a 40 inch plasma screen, internet streamer with live TV channels from the UK, USA etc plus recent films, extensive DVD film library, CD / ipod player and broadband wi-fi internet access. Dine indoors or on the large 230 sq ft terrace balcony with panoramic views over the beach and Caribbean Sea.

The building has high levels of security including CCTV, security guard, intercom and private parking, elevator, swimming pool and sun deck with direct access onto a quiet secluded beach. Maid service is provided twice a week. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities are within a short walking distance.

About Philip Ball

I am semi-retired and live in Shropshire, England with my wife. We have two children and five grandchildren who all live close by - they keep us very busy!

My wife's family are from Barbados - they go back 300 years, probably kicked out of Britain as undesirables! She dragged me over there so many times in the end I decided to buy an apartment. I guess I have become a part-time Bajan.

We wanted to be on the beach but near to the bars and restaurants in St Lawrence Gap. We fell in love with the Italianate style of our building and its location at the quiet end of St Lawrence Gap.

A piece of paradise

I cannot recommend this property enough! Villa K provides the most perfect stay in Barbados. My family have stayed at the property twice now and very much look forward to returning in the near future.

The property has absolutely everything you could possibly need and most defiantly has that wow factor! The accommodation is immaculate and extremely well looked after by the staff, the large balcony overlooking the sea has to be my favourite place especially with a cup of coffee early morning. It’s great to watch the surfers and you can even do some turtle spotting. The apartment literally has everything you need and is so spacious.

The actual building is so very well maintained, the gardens are beautiful and pool area really clean. The location of Villa K is just perfect, in walking distance to some great restaurants and bars on the gap but far out enough for you to enjoy the peace and quiet. The easy access to the beach is great and Dover beach is literally just round the corner if you want a calmer swim. It’s great to hire a car and explore the island, secure / easy parking is also available. We have visited Barbados 4 times now and without a doubt Villa K has been our favourite place to stay, we love the freedom that an apartment gives in comparison to staying in a hotel.

Phil made planning our stay really easy and provided us with all the info needed, Cyrus also arranged all our taxis and was on hand if we needed anything while we were there. We are really starting to see the apartment as our second home and I cannot explain the feeling you get when you walk out onto the beautiful balcony. Definitely 5 star Barbados accommodation!

Villa K is the best place to stay!

Villa K is the very best place to stay! The location is perfect, quiet for relaxing during the day but near enough to all the things you can do to have some fun in the evening. The beach is beautiful, during our stay this time we saw baby turtles making their journey at the start of their life into the sea - a fabulous experience. If you don't like swimming in the sea there is a gorgeous pool, privately situated in the well maintained gardens surrounding the properties. If you do like the beach the owners Phil and Jan have thought of everything including a cool box for the beach, the site has it's own sun-loungers and the location on this part of the beach is second to none.... Evening Sunsets are spectacular so have your camera ready!

Some local places to visit are the fabulous restaurants along this coast nearby our favourite was Pisces which has just newly opened - superb!! There is a new Jazz bar Scoopies at the top of the road which has great live music. Some nights they have freshly caught fish or you can have a burger and fries....Or take a short taxi ride past the gap to Champers, Tapas, Naru - all great places to eat. The locals are all very welcoming and the bars are great...there is always a rum punch available! Oistins is just a bus or taxi ride away, a great night out to sample local fish and lots of dancing. Bridgetown again is just a bus or taxi ride for Tax Free shopping.

The property is immaculate. With everything you could want or need. Phil and Jan have thought of everything. Including a book library, music cds, films, games. Most pleasing of all is the way the decor and furniture have been tastefully picked for comfort and style for a luxury stay. The management service are always on hand to make sure your stay is the best it can be. They are very helpful and always pleasant to deal with.

I would recommend that if you have not stayed in Villa K you should make sure you do so on your next visit to Barbados. You won't regret it!

Excellent, Perfectly Located

We have just spent 2 glorious weeks at White Sands. The welcome and orientation by Cyrus was very friendly and informative, typically Bajan. The villa was beautifully appointed and comfortable with all the amenities, including WIFI, that a family would need. The Welcome Pack prepared by the owners (Phil & Jan) is most thorough - how to use? What to do? Where to eat?

The beach is yards from the villa with beautiful white sands, swaying coconut trees and coral blue sea. It is relatively small, private and safe. Watching the sunset from the balcony with a rum punch in hand cannot be beaten. The apartment is perfectly located just off “The Gap” within walking distance of the nightlife from the quiet intimate Tyrone’s Bar on the beach, Scoopies Jazz bar with live acts to reggae nights on the Gap. We had the best holiday of our lives. We rented a car for a week and toured the island from our base all the way to North Point, and not to forget Friday night at the famous Oistins Fish Fry.

We had a great time and would highly recommend this villa for a romantic holiday for couples or for the family.

Words are not enough

Words are not enough to convey just how fantastic this apartment and the location really is. From the amenities, the space and comfort, and the view.

If you are a beach person, its only a few feet away; or you can just relax on the balcony, listen to the surf, and still get a good tan without worrying about burning.

The apartment has everything you might need, and I can confirm that the chopsticks a previous reviewer had asked for, are now there.

When it gets dark, and you don't feel up to walking down The Gap for your entertainment, the owners have provided you with just about everything, including a new Internet TV box giving you access to current movies with its 'ShowBox' app.

If you can't afford to own your own apartment in Barbados, at least you can stay here. Abso-bloody-lutely FANTASTIC!

Found perfect apartment

White Sands had not been built on our previous visits to Barbados. Having stumbled across the Apartments we have at last found the perfect beach, spectacular views of the South Coast at dawn to dusk and wonderful days on the beach in between. The swimming pool was great to use to cool down in and we used it several times daily. All beach furniture and equipment were provided, all that was lacking was a complimentary ski boat!!

Situated on the busy Gap we had shops, restaurants and bars but one would not know they were even sitting out on our balcony, which we did a lot.

We were worried having chosen to go in September quiet period but quickly realised it was a wonderful choice. We had no need to book anywhere and the numerous welcomes we received was breath taking. The two double bed roomed, with ensuites, apartment overlooked the beach just yards away, but it was the thoughtfulness of the owners that was spellbinding. We have yet to read a better 'what to do' or 'what not to do' book of recommendations than the one provided by the owners. It was not just words their kitchen spoke volumes as every conceivable utensil needed was provided as did the fittings and furniture throughout. Their DVDs and CDs would need a stay of months to get through them all. We did however (because that is the way we are) find two tiny chinks in their armour, namely no corn on the cob forks nor Chinese chopsticks. Having mentioned this to the lovely (and car hirer) we were later informed were on their way, and the chopsticks (good ones) were on order! Although frozen corn cobs are available in the bigger local stores locals do not buy them fresh as they are such an expensive import.

As long term visitors to the Carribbean we have stayed in numerous hotels and many apartments, the latter being easily our first choice. Our first choice of all, is now this apartment at White Sands Beach Condos. We had a ball. Apologies to others we now class as friends in the BVI, Saba and especially Anguilla.

Amazing, fabulous!

From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we had chosen the right place to stay in Barbados. Everything was how it should be and much more. The location is stunning right next to the beach but surrounded in beautiful and well kept tropical gardens. The sunsets are breathtaking every evening! In the apartment itself was everything you could want or wish for the most enjoyable stay. The property was immaculate and very well maintained to the highest standard. The management company who met us on arrival provided all the information we needed to enjoy a hassle free stay. They are always on call but due to the highest standard of everything we just did not need them. There simply is nothing bad about Villa K! I would strongly recommend to anyone whether you are going for a relaxing or action packed holiday this location has it all. There is plenty to do with many bars, restaurants nearby, walking distance of a few minutes but not too close to cause any disturbance. There are also many beach activities and trips - Ideal!! We booked several restaurants during our two week stay, our favourite being Champers and Naru. Tapas was good for lunch or dinner, J Cools just up the road was great for snacks at lunch just on the beach and always great music!

But, most of all we enjoyed the sheer luxury and location of Villa K. If you are lucky enough to get booked into this apartment I can guarantee you will want to go back again and again - we certainly do!
