This lowcountry jewel is one of the original Folly Beach cottages. There are three bedrooms(1 queen, 1 full, 2 twins). 1 bath(updated in '12). Nice open floor plan. Heart of pine wood floors through out. Screened in front porch. Nice back yard. New addition of big backyard deck. Kitchen fully set up to cook if you like. There is a back door off the kitchen, that takes you onto to the large deck. There are built in benches, as well as a patio table and 4 chairs. We do have grill in the back yard as well. It's fun to sit out there, and listen to the sound of the ocean. Classic screened in front porch.
The location of this home is why we purchased it. Although it sits in a nice, quiet part of the island. It's very close to everything you want access to. The beach is only a 3 short block, walk. Two blocks to Center St. where all the restaurants, and shopping are located on Folly. Folly Beach Park, for the kids, is within walking distance too. Tennis courts/Basketball court there as well. Bert's grocery market is within walking distance too!! Our home is on a full lot, with a nice back yard.
This home has the charm of the Lowcountry. Very comfortable and cozy. Home surrounded by palms, and a trophy live oak, that is easily over 100 yrs. old.
This part of the island is also great for biking, or renting a golf cart while you are here. Enough room to park a boat trailer in the back yard. Up to 20' or so. Folly River Boat Landing is very close.
The Historic District of Charleston is only 20 minutes away by car.

About Lee Swing
I moved to Charleston, SC from Wilmington, NC. I went to school at UNCW and graduated with an Environmental Science degree., and fell in love with the coast. Ended up in real estate. Working for real estate for developers, it has taken me, up and down the coast from NC, to FL. I met my beautiful wife in Charleston, and we are now living in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the city of Asheville raising our family. Love spending time with the family down at Folly. Treasured moments together.
Lee Swing purchased this Cottage in 2002
Why Lee Swing chose Folly Beach
When i first moved to Charleston, i rented a home on Folly Beach. It had such a great, laid back feel, unlike other beaches that i have lived before. The home i had rented, had a similar location to 303 E.Huron, close to center st., and a short walk down to the beach. When i was shopping for a home, those criteria were very important. I also love trees, and the old mature palms blowing in the breeze was also a very welcome sound to me. There is a trophy live oak(huge canopy) that is very indicative of the south, that greets you as you pull in to the home.
What makes this Cottage unique
The walk down to Center St. is relaxing as you take in the scenery, and before you know it, you are in the middle of all the shopping, and great places to eat. The Folly Crabshack is a favorite for local seafood, or for twist, go to the new Taco Boy restaurant. A walk on the pier after dinner for ice cream is a given. The location is what you will like about this home, convenient to everything, but on a quiet street on Folly. Also to drive to downtown Charleston from here is very scenic, and only 20 minutes away.

Home was great, clean and very convenient!
We go at least once a year to Folly and have choose this house when available! We'll definitely be going back👍
Thank you, and glad you're choosing us when you can! We hope to see you back in the Fall!!
Thanksgiving on Folly
A very nice cottage retreat on Folly. Stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and really appreciated the comfy beds, large living area and relaxed area that is in a short walking distance to the beach & shops/dining, but not too close to the party scene.
Nice screen porch in front, deck off the back---November weather was so-so & heating was also appreciated. Smaller, but efficient kitchen--owner was kind enough to supply a mixer for Thanksgiving pie making!! Laundry off back bedroom was handy, too!! Would stay again!
The Folly Beach house was everything we hoped for......great location to walk to the beach or the shops/restaurants on Center St., and in a quiet area. Lee was fantastic to work with. We had an event come up after we booked our trip and we asked if he would consider renting Sunday to Sunday so we didn't have to miss a minute of Folly and he agreed. Thanks again for being so gracious and for sharing your Folly Beach house and all it has to offer!
p.s. The Lost Dog Café is fabulous....must try the cinnamon rolls!!
We're glad you enjoyed our home, and location. We go to The Lost Dog on most trips down!! Thanks again for choosing us!
Very nice and quaint what a real summer cottage should be
We really enjoyed the house very nicely decorated and had all the comforts of home would highly recommend to anyone!
Comfortable, cozy, and convenient--the perfect cottage for a fabulous week at Folly!
We had another fabulously fun week at Folly thanks to our charming accommodations. The location was convenient; the front porch and backyard deck welcome spaces at the end of a day on the beach; and the cottage equipped with everything we needed to make the week perfect. Such Folly fun!
Great for the price
Great location. Liked the layout of the house. Roomy and comfortable living room and most importantly, beds were very comfy. Even the bunk beds received nice reviews from the two older ladies that stayed in them. House is older and kitchen could use upgrading but since we never cook on vacation it was a moot point. Only other issue was that wifi could be sketchy at times, but would definitely rent again.
Shopping at the Market in the Peninsula of Historic Charleston/Battery/Carriage Rides/walk streets South of Broad all only 20 minutes away, Plantations close by, Angel Oak, Waterpark in Mt. Pleasant/James Island, Morris Island Lighthouse on Folly.
