There is simply nothing like it on the market for rental. This house is a custom modern loft home. The experience of staying here exceeds any hotel suite or home available in downtown.
We stayed at the house for a girls getaway and it was perfect! There was six of us and we all had a ton of space which is nice. The house is walking distance from a ton of awesome restaurants and bars. A great location all and all. But what makes the place even better is Stewart. He is incredibly accommodating and kind. I have rented many houses through VRBO and most often feel very much like a customer or just another number. But not with Stewart! He truly makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Will definitely be staying here next time I come through town.
The only reason I didn't give this property 5 stars is because I expected to have a washer and dryer and they were not working. Stewart did however offer to provide laundry service if we needed it which I took him up on. Overall very good experience! If you are looking for a place within walking distance to many downtown locations this is for you! Can't say enough good things about Stewart!
We had a good time in San Diego for a medical convention. We were 5 in that big house with 3 floors. The house needs some repairs (1 door doesn't close, one toilet broke, the dryer is not working because the owner is waiting for a piece) but the owner is easy to join and provided us with more towels, wine glasses and repaired the toilet. The sound system is awesome. We did not find any Blue Bin for recycling outside with the number of the house on the bin so we put it with trashes. The neighbors looked protective of their Bins so ...
The homeless is a problem but it is not the fault of the owner, it is a city problem.
They are too much of those peoples for our taste. We know that most of them are not dangerous but you never know when one is in a psychosis state and they do yell a lot.
Overall, we recommend highly the house but beware of the homeless and after a while, you do know which streets are safe to walk on to get anywhere in the city.
Basically we really enjoyed our stay. The space worked well for our family and there is plenty of room for 8 people.
Stewart was prompt with communication and very helpful when we asked for things.
The only downside was that the place could have done with some maintenance.
We were unable to connect with Stewart at check in so didn't find out that the dryer wasn't working until after we had done a large load of laundry. The washing machine is falling apart and the door is tricky to close.
Stewart offered to have laundry done for us and returned same day but we preferred to just hang it around the garage.
He also purchased a water filter for us when we discovered the fridge water dispenser didn't work.
On the day of checkout Stewart said that maintenance was scheduled for April, after the busy winter season, so it was just bad timing for us that we struck these hiccups.
It did feel like the place had had a lot of wear and tear which took the shine off it's 'high end' description but it was still an enjoyable relaxed stay for our family.
The chic, loft like modern row-house is a perfect place to stay in San Diego. Within walking distance of the gas lamp district, the convention center, the ball park and shopping. There's a very nice balcony on the second floor facing the sun, a well equipped kitchen, and the house is great for 6-8 guests. Stewart is a very attentive host, who takes care that his guests have a great time
This is the second year and the improvements were great. Nice location with a quality that's second to none.
