Great house, great view, deep water, great East Peninsula location w/ Wifi
This waterfront tri-level home was built in 2005. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, located close to the end of the Peninsula on the east side of Possum Kingdom lake.
This is a private home with a wood burning fireplace, central air and heat, Wifi, beamed cathedral ceiling, multiple covered decks, and fabulous views of the lake from every room. (We turned the house plans around so the large windows face the lake.)
There are extensive custom stone patios with steps going down to the lake, a fishing pier and over 300 feet of private secluded shoreline. We are the last house on our road, with a wilderness area to the left and there's unlimited shoreline past our 300 feet, to explore.
Mexican saltillo tile floors with rugs are on the second and lower level, two fully tiled baths, central heating and air conditioning, ceiling fans, huge, well equipped kitchen, with microwave, range, dishwasher, washer & dryer, side by side refrigerator with water and ice in the door, and a separate built in icemaker. The living area has flat screen cable TV, dvd player and stereo. There are carpeted bedrooms, (with a king, two queen sized beds and two roll away beds.) The over sized master bedroom has it's own TV, sitting area, huge paladin windows with a panoramic lake view, Master bath with jacuzzi, separate shower, twin sinks and a balcony for relaxing and taking in the views.
Everything you need has been provided to make your stay a pleasant one!

About Anna Blair
We started renting our home as a 'Vacation Home Rental' last year. We are retired and have a home in Fort Worth. When we are away we thought we would share our home with families that would love and respect our home as we do. Friends and family are what makes life rich, and each of our homes are filled with gatherings from our travels, good food and laughter. We designed the spacious home to utilize the beauty of the lake, the native trees, Palo Pinto mountain surround, and wildlife gathering spot. It's such a treat to see the herds of deer gathering in the evening by Sandy Beach! Possum Kingdom will bring you back year after year. Noel and Anna Blair
Anna Blair purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2005
Why Anna Blair chose Graford
This home undoubtedly has the best deep water views on the lake! We are close to the end of the Peninsula in a secluded area, teaming with wildlife and nature. Our home is located on a point with panoramic views in every direction! We offer covered porch decks, stone patio with adirondack chairs, huge window views of the lake, and a fully equipped, almost new home and satellite wifi. Our waterfront has 350 feet of private shoreline, and unlimited, natural shoreline to the left, since we are the last property. We have a fishing pier and our secluded wooded, hillside lot is 1/2 acre. You will find peace and relaxation at our place, in comfortable surroundings. Nature lovers will find plenty of wildlife. We have deer, wild turkeys, humming birds and of course, there's lots of fish and water birds! A new hiking trail was recently put in which goes to Sandy Beach on the left. Just a short hike through the woods to reach deep sand and a playground, picnic tables and the lake. Of course everyone can swim at our place as well. We are close to several public boat launches and boat rental facilities, if you are into boating, be sure to check out the cliffs of Hell's Gate. The lake offers a vast variety of natural lake views. This is a great place for a family vacation or a place to unwind, relax and take in the natural beauty!
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
When we built this home in 2005, we turned the back of the house around so it faces the road. The true front faces the lake, and is much more attractive than the back but we did that so most of the windows would face the view. We have arched windows in the master with a beautiful lake view and windows all across the lake side. This is a secluded, quiet, beautiful and relaxing place!

Beautiful place. Great for the family.
My family loved this place. Beautiful views. Centrally located on the lake. Everything you need for a great weekend away.
Thank you, Tony! We hope to see you and your family again, anytime you need to get away to nature and beautiful P.K.!
My wife and I spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at Chateaux Blair. This was our third stay here and once we again had a terrific time. The 3 bedroom house is very nice and the view of the lake is fantastic. The new and improved (larger) porch was a great idea and we spent lots of time just sitting outside enjoying the view. The sunsets we amazing!
Thanks so much for the nice review, Greg! It seems that God, in his infinite wisdom, paints the sky glorious colors as the Fall colors of nature subside. I'm glad you both enjoyed the sunsets, which are even more spectacular when reflected by the lake.
I hope you continue to remember our place when you need a place to get away for awhile. :)
Very nice house with great view. Great well equiped kitchen. Master suite with balconey enjoyable
This a very nice lake house with great views and extensive balconies. The dock is somewhat primitive but functional. Good sand bass fishing off dock in early mornings ( it was very hot while we were there). We had a trailered 21 foot boat and there was no way to park or turn it around. We ended backing it back down Upper Burma road!
I'm glad you all enjoyed our place! I've heard from others that the fishing is better off of our dock than it is from a boat. I would attribute it to our secluded area..the fish must think they are safe there. :)
Our turn around is large enough when we pull our 18' trailer, but it might take a bit of practice to turn a longer one.
Please keep us in mind for future visits. We're adding a new rock patio in October.
Well beyond my expectations
More secluded than I expected - which was perfect.
Better views and lakeside experience than I expected - which was perfect.
Bigger, nicer home and furnishings than I expected - which was perfect.
Will DEFINITELY lease this property again - and bring more family with me.
Great access to eating, took great tour around lake, great dinner at Wildcatter, Bonitaville, etc.
For a great place to relax, read, getaway, sleep, etc. - this is the place.
Thank you, Jame. As a guest, you were beyond our expectations as well. :) Perfect.
Great house with a beautiful view!
We stayed at this house over one weekend and loved it. It's definitely bigger than the pictures show. The deck is fantastic and we loved watching the sunsets. House was well stocked with everything you need. Grocery store is about 10 minutes away and is also well stocked. We would definitely go back.
Thank you for the review and for being our guest! You and your family will always be welcome at our special get away place. There's nothing more renewing than a weekend at the lake- especially Possum Kingdom...
Overall our visit was pretty good. There were some technical difficulties I would put under owning a lake house in a rural area. I will say Anna was quick to respond. That being said, when you pay the amount she is asking your expectations are high. As mentioned in previous reviews, be prepared this is not the property for elderly or physically challenged visitors. There are many steps in the house and down to the water. If you have a boat be aware the pier is old and it is difficult to tie up and not scrape the side of the boat. I am sure Anna has this on the upgrade list down the road. Also, we brought Kayaks and getting them down to the water and back up again was a workout. We were here in June and the bugs were out in force. Bring plenty of bug spay if you intend to be outside after dusk. Use OFF if you walk anywhere. The chiggers were a menace.
If you are looking for a nice house with a spectacular view this is your place. The location is excellent. Very close to restaurants, grocery stores and liquor stores. We rented a boat from Naylor by the Water which is about a five minute drive by car and a ten minute boat ride around the peninsula.
A network of Hiking trails have been completed, one of which is on our road. Turn right on the trail at the Trail- head and it's a short hike to Sandy Beach. Small children can play on the playground equipment, swim and play in the deep sand and gentle lake slope. Pack a picnic lunch, there are tables and grills. Lots of deer and other wildlife abound (no hunting). P.K. is a great place to water ski, since the lake is 75 miles long! The Brazos River feeds the lake, and a short distance away are canoe rentals, where you can spend the day on the river. Golfers can play at The Cliffs- one of the finest and most difficult golf courses in Texas and one of the most beautiful. The view of the cliffs and lake from the cliffs behind the club house is a must-see. Or just stay at our home and relax, read, fish and/or swim. Watch the sea birds and deer, an occasional fox, wild turkey, etc., etc. Come out and relax- you won't want to go home. P.K. is approximately 75 miles west of Ft. Worth and the metroplex. Come out, sit under the stars and feel the stress slip away!
