We own the Buckhorn Supper Club on Lake Koshkonong. We enjoy caring for our guests, both at the Buckhorn, and also at our family home.
Quiet street, on Lake koshkonong, close to all the bars, fishing spots, and swimming in the lake. Bring your own boat and tie up to the pier.
We rented this house for the weekend to visit our two older kids who live and go to school in the area. The house was clean, comfy and had plenty of room. I would highly recommend this house. If you do stay here, I also recommend you go to the Buckhorn Supper Club owned and run by the Chico and his family. We had a wonderful dinner there with our kids.
We rented this home for family members traveling from all over the country for a wedding. We could not have found a more perfect place. The house is large, clean, well equipped and homey. The huge bathroom was a godsend since there were eight ladies all getting ready for the wedding at once. The large kitchen and deck were perfect for family dinners. Chico and his next-door caretaker were very helpful and made everyone feel welcome. Everyone is still talking about the wonderful time we all had at Lake Koshkonong.
This home proved to be perfect for our extended family. There was plenty of room inside for the eight of us that actually stayed in the house and there was ample room to accommodate those who came and went during the weekend. The house is very clean and well stocked with soap and paper products as well as fresh towels, comfortable beds and a never ending supply of hot water for showers. Janesville is a quick 20 minute drive so convenient for groceries. We barbecued many times while we were there and fed the crowd easily. Chico is a gracious host and we actually extended our stay after the family left just to drink in the peace of the lake for a bit longer. When we return to the area we will be quick to check the availability of this wonderful lake house again.
We had a family reunion in August and my wife and I rented this house. There were 5 adults and three kids staying in the house and we felt very comfortable with the amount of room available. The house is in great condition and is in a nice location right on the lake. The neighborhood is very quiet and it was easy to relax there. The house has a large front deck with a grill and very comfy patio furniture. I spent as much time as possible out there. The only "down side" were the mosquitoes, but you can hardly fault the house for that. A few citronella torches around the porch would be a great feature to add. Chico was very accommodating and was always available via phone if we had questions. The process of renting and paying was painless. Thanks Chico, for the great service! We loved your house. Say hi to Ron and Deb for us!
Our family stayed at this lovey house the last week in July. We all had a great time. The fishing from the pier was excellent. One of our sons even caught a small muskie! As an added bonus we & our grandkids greatly enjoyed the 4H county fair. Also not to be missed is foot golf in Madison. The whole family had a blast. The house is very well appointed with very nice appliances and everything you could possibly need. The only thing you have to bring is food.
We enjoyed our week on the lake, hosted by the owner, Chico. The rented pontoon boat provided hours of pleasure on the shallow lake for our multi-generational group of six adults and five grandchildren. There was ample room in the spacious bedrooms for all of us, and the house was well equipped with paper and soap products in the kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed perfect weather. We all spent fun hours on the deck and at the fire pit, roasting s'mores. Our family enjoyed a memorably happy week.
