We live and farm 5 miles west of Lynchburg. We are transplants from the Pacific NW. We have been in Tennessee since 1999 and will never leave. We are living our dream.
Leilani Kerce purchased this house in 2001
We remodeled this 1898 home for our mother. She lived here until her passing in 2010. She loved to have people come visit so using it for family visits and as a vacation rental keeps people coming to her home
The house is uniquely situated. It boarders the town square and the Jack Daniel distillery so you can leave your car parked. Once you have done the walking local things this becomes the perfect base from which to explore middle Tennessee and northern Alabama from. People that have stayed with us comment that they felt that they actually experienced the area not just visited
The home is lovely and very comfortable; perfect for our small family get together. The house is much bigger that it looks in the photos. The beds were comfortable, the house was spotless and we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We spent most of the time sitting on the back porch enjoying the quiet serenity of Lynchburg. The house is a very short walk to the town square, just over the foot bridge. The owners were great to deal with and I highly recommend this property if you are staying in the Lynchburg area.
We toured the Jack Daniels Distillery which is also walking distance from the house. The George Dickel Distillery is about a 30 minute drive and well worth it. Lunch at Ms. Bobo’s Boarding house was a nice treat with home cooking just like mom’s (reservations are a must and bring your appetite). The Lynchburg town square does close early so plan your days accordingly.
The people of Lynchburg were very friendly and hospitable.
This house is beautiful . Very clean. The owner is so sweet and will do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. Will continue to come back here .
We were traveling from Wilmore, KY to the Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro, AL and needed a place for 6 adults to spend one night. My only regret is that we were just passing through! The house was easy to find, although our GPS tried to take us down a street that now has a blocked off bridge. There were deer behind the house when we drove up after dark. Everything was very quiet and peaceful. We arrived too late to eat at the barbecue restaurant we could have walked to from the house and it looked like there were several interesting places to explore in Lynchburg, not to mention the Jack Daniel's Distillery. The house was perfect for our group, with plenty of room to spread out, although we ended up sitting at the kitchen table playing cards together before bedtime! The beds were quite comfortable and although we didn't prepare any food there, the kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the screened porch before departing the next morning. We want to go back and spend some time in Lynchburg as soon as we get the chance.
We were in town for a wedding with a newborn and a toddler. Renting this beautiful home with a screened in porch and yard turned what could have been a stressful weekend with 2 littles in a hotel into a mini vacation! The kids loved the huge yard (especially the goat next door!) everything was quiet day and night and the hosts were responsive and kind. The house is quiet large! We would rent it again.
The location is awesome! Close to town but feels like the country. We had a wonderful fire out back after our tour of the Jack Daniel's Distillery, which is a walkable distance. Downtown and some great restaurants are minutes walking and the Lynchburg Harley Davidson shop is close. Great house, great people and a great time! I had 4 friends from Germany with me and we all had a great time.
Thank you for such an awesome experience and great customer service!!!!! Don't forget to visit the Bluegill Grill about 25 minute drive away it was an awesome time too.
My husband and I stayed in this cottage a few weeks ago. Just for a quick get away.
The pictures of this home does not do it justice.
It is beautiful and charming to say the least.
