Beachfront Breezes is a unique three bedroom, three bath, fully-equipped unit with vaulted ceilings at one of St. Croix's most desirable vacation beaches. Just bring your personal items!

Upon arrival, you'll experience one of the most amazing tropical views you've ever seen. As you familiarize yourself with our condo, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, modern appliances, and a wide array of cooking implements, large bathrooms with new linens, exquisite tropical decorations (including two four-poster mahogany beds), and a fully-furnished outside living area (the gallery) drawing you toward the beach/ocean view.

After a full day of activities, curl up in the master bedroom's king-sized memory foam 'comfy bed'. When you wake, just open your eyes to palm trees, the beach, and the glorious Caribbean Sea before your feet even hit the ground.

Sugar Beach Resort has a fabulous free-form pool next to historic sugar mill ruins, tennis courts, and a spectacular white-sand beach. There are two excellent restaurants within easy beach-front walking distance, as well as nearby grocery stores, banking, and athletic activities. St. Croix is also home to the only casino in the USVI, and is well-known for its unparalleled scuba diving and snorkeling experiences.

Bill is a business owner in Maryland; Lisa lived at the condo for over a year, and added some personal touches to make your vacation at Unit 308 extra special. She now travels for work most of the time, using Florida as her home base. Bill and Lisa visit St. Croix two to four times each year.

Why Bill Boettner chose St. Croix

Great weather and a gorgeous view! We chose St. Croix because it is less crowded than St. Thomas or St. John, has less of a 'tourist' feel to it, but still offers plenty of nightlife and other activities, or the ability to just 'chillax.' After all, you're on island time, mon!

What makes this condo unique

Unit 308 sits just about in the middle of the Sugar Beach complex, affording unmatched views to the northeast, east, and southeast. On very clear days, we can see St. John, Tortola, and Virgin Gorda in the distance. The third floor also captures a wonderful ocean breeze, allowing us to keep the A/C off and the doors open, making the outdoor gallery the primary living area.

Good Value Condo Conveniently Located Near Christiansted

Sugar Beach Condo 306 is an excellent condo for 2 couples sharing a place. What attracted us to this unit is the fact that 306 has 2 identically sized master bedrooms. The condo is beachfront and offers a good sea view that is somewhat obscured by security bars. The view orientation is more north so you can't see either a sunrise or sunset from the balcony. As for the condo itself, upon arrival it was spotless, all the appliances were in good working order, the showers had excellent water pressure and the beds had the most comfortable mattresses. (Wish I had this mattress at home...) In addition to the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, there is an upstairs alcove that can sleep at least 4 more people, though I'm not sure if the aircon unit works. There is also a huge bathroom there as well and the aircon there in fact works. The condo complex itself is well maintained and managed. The swimming pool is large but it's in an enclosed area and does not offer sea views.

As an aside, this was our first visit to St. Croix. We saw all of the island and our overall impression is that St. Croix is the friendliest Caribbean Island we have visited and the drivers were by far the kindest. We were always getting breaks. We recommend visiting St. Croix and for the $$, other than Cozumel, you can't find a better spot.

beautiful scenery

Our first trip to St. Croix, and we were impressed with the natural beauty. The condo was roomy and the view over the beach was great, with warm winds coming through for sleeping; very relaxing. Snorkeling at Buck Island was the highlight

The condo itself could use some updating; rusty appliances and badly pitted bath fixtures, a sink drain that wasn't hooked up, so there was a drip into the downstairs condo, etc. Nothing terrible, but if you're someone who is looking for hotel-like condition you might have an issue.

My primary recommendation is to make sure you have a car if you rent here. Although it is technically walking distance to Christiansted, and we like to walk, the area between the condo and the Christiansted boardwalk area can be "sketchy"; I wouldn't have let my college-age kids venture out at night on their own. We also felt that due to a lack of a car (there were none to be had during our stay, all booked) we saw less of the island that we would have liked, and had to schlep groceries on foot, etc.

Wonderful condo- perfect for our group!

My boyfriend, my 2 brothers and I stayed in August. Bill was an absolute pleasure to deal with- he responded right away and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He maintains an amazing property and we absolutely think its the BEST location on the island! Just make sure there is not a seaweed problem like there was when we were there- you cant swim in front of the property at all, which was no problem for us with all the other beaches on the island. We will ABSOLUTELY rent from him anytime we are in St Croix (as long as there's no seaweed)!

Quiet, Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in St. Croix. July isn't tourist season thre so it was more quiet than usual. We typically had the beach to ourselves. We snorkled right in front of the condo, but the best snorkeling was at Buck Island! The condo was great, we had everything there we needed. The weather was beautiful and a great relief from the Texas heat! We didn't need the AC, we kept the sliding doors open and let the winds keep us cool; the rustling of the palm trees and waves was so peaceful. We did rent a jeep and went into town for dinner every night. Breezes was closed while we were there, but the restaurant at the Mill Harbour Condos was really good, breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily, great staff too! St. Croix is a great vacation spot if you are looking to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. The condo is very comfortable and clean. Thanks for a great vacation!

Great place and great diving!

The balcony overlooks the beach and with the sea breeze, we didn't even need the A/C. Owner was very accessible to answer questions before the trip and one of the managers knocked on our door the day after checking in and the day before checking out to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The VRBO mobile Hospitality site also made info available from my smart phone. Diving in St. Croix was fantastic - a little known gem in the Caribbean. The king bed in the MBR was super comfy and had a great view to wake up to and the loft with the 3rd bathroom was very convenient. Highly recommend!

Take a leisurely drive around the island to see some breathtaking vistas, or venture along the scenic road for some truly amazing sights. Visit botanical gardens, tour two rum factories (Captain Morgan and Cruzan Rum are both made on the island), visit museums, shop duty-free in quaint Christiansted, or experience some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean (be sure to dive 'The Wall' on the northshore!).
