Ca dell' Artista is a second and last floor facing one of Dorsoduro's most lovely canals (Rio delle Romite). It offers high ceilings with original wooden beams, great views from every window, spacious indoor space, a terrace and a small terrace facing the canal.
It is composed of a spacious living room painted in a Venetian green, a dining area, an open space kitchen, a double bedroom facing a garden with en-suite bathroom with shower, a double with twins and a bathroom with a tub.
A private courtyard is available at the ground floor. It is a superb apartment completely restored (work ended May 2009) to the highest standards to guarantee maximum comfort, space and pleasure.
We had an excellent experience with the Views on Venice staff who assisted us with booking and while we were in Venice. They took care of all of our needs and had excellent suggestions to make our stay more memorable. The apartment we stayed in was beautiful and well appointed. We would highly recommend Views on Venice to anyone traveling to Venice!
We were two couples sharing this lovely apartment for a week. It was spacious, and very well located in the Dorsoduro area of Venice. It was fitted with modern appliances and furnishings. It is probably better suited to a family than two couples, as the second bedroom and bathroom are not up to the same standard as the primary or master bedroom and its ensure.
This was my first not time staying in a hotel, so I was a bit nervous prior to our arrival. The property manager arranged transportation for us, met us at the agreed location, and helped us settle into the apartment (as well as gave us tips on restaurants). The property was great. It was spotless, large and airy, with high ceilings, well furnished, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The terrace was lovely was well. The only negative was the entrance hallway of the building (not the apartment) needs to be updated.
I would absolutely rent this apartment again and recommend it to a friend.
As advertised, the apartment is spacious, bright, clean and well equipped. The arrival and departure arrangements were flawless and when we had some trouble with construction noise in the courtyard the first day we were there, the agency office took care of it immediately. No more noise. The location is very central to pretty much all of the sites you might want to see and is not near the throngs of people from cruise ships milling around Piazza San Marco! One of the nicest restaurants in the city - Locanda Montin - is across the street (canal). The Guggenheim museum, Ca'Rezzonico, Rialto market etc are all within a 15 minute walk. I would highly recommend this location and the agency - it was a terrific week in Venice. PS. if you like mystery novels, read Donna Leon's series with Inspector Brunetti while you are there - its set in Venice and references all the places you will be walking through. He lives in the Dosoduro.
The apartment was lovely, comfortable, quiet and very clean. Views on Venice could not have been more helpful on arrival and during our stay. Wonderful little eateries close by. Will definitely be returning.
We spent 5 perfect days (4 nights) in Venice, and really liked the apartment.
It's a charming, confortable, calm et very well equiped flat. As a family, it's the perfect way to visit Venice and feel like a venetian.
Many restaurants, bars, food shops all around...
close to the most touristic places but far enough from the touristic crowd !
We'll be back !!
We've just returned from this fantastic apartment - beautifully restored and equipped with absolutely everything you might need for a comfortable stay in Venice. Great location - very close to the main sites - but also quiet and in a location that gives you a good feel for the 'real' Venice. Transport arrangements worked like clockwork and we were met on arrival and also taken to the water taxi at the end of our stay. Little extras, like soap and shampoo - and oil, condiments, cleaning material etc in the kitchen were much appreciated. Very comfortable beds with good quality sheets and towels - and the apartment is so quiet. The local supermarket - Billa - is excellent and we also had a lovely meal in the Ristoteca Oniga in nearby Campo San Barnaba. We would certainly recommend this apartment to others and hope to return on our next trip to Venice. Thank you Filippo!
