Overview

Lake George Area House Rental Photos and Description

A cozy year round private log cabin home located in downtown Bolton Landing. The house has stunning views of Lake George and its mountains and is set in completed privacy from any neighbors. If a relaxing quiet vacation home is what you are looking for...this is it!

The house has recently been renovated with brand new stainless steel appliances in kitchen and new floors throughout (hardwood in living room, tile in kitchen, and carpet in bedrooms). You couldn't ask for a better location on Lake George: we are a 5 minute walk to town which includes beaches, parks, boat rentals, activities, restaurants, bars, shops & much more. This is the perfect location for a family friendly holiday.

The house has three bedrooms and two baths (1 in master & 1 main) and a very large loft area on 2nd floor. There is a king bed in master, a queen bed in each of the 2 guest rooms and two single beds in loft providing sleeping for 8 comfortably. Additionally, the 2nd floor loft area has two pullout couches which can sleep up to 4 additional people if needed. We also have a pack-n-play and a highchair for the little ones. The house has two porches which are perfect for sitting and enjoying the views or barbequing with the family. We have high speed wireless internet and multiple cable televisions including HBO. The driveway is very large and can easily accommodate multiple vehicles.

The house is centrally located in the beautiful town of Bolton Landing on stunning Lake George. Enjoy all the lake has to offer year round! The house is a 5 minute walk to town, restaurants, parks, playgrounds, shops and beaches. There are multiple marinas very close by for boating rentals and other water activities. The house is a short drive to Lake George Village, Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom, Gore and West Mountain Ski area, etc.

Please contact owner with any additional questions. We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

The Somma Family

Clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This is a very comfortable house equipped with everything one needs. The needs are great, and the layout is perfect. We appreciated how clean it was. The lift is huge, with comfortable chairs and sofas. The deck has nice views of the lake and the mountains on the fast shore. The main street of Bolton landing is just a short walk away, about five minutes. But when you are at the house, it looks like you are in the middle of a forest away from any town. The owner is extremely responsive to emailed questions.

Friends yearly getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful home, everything you could possibly need was in the house, and very close to town.We only smelled the Odor from sewer plant on the first day, which was light and not bothersome, would definitely rebook this house if we are back in the area.

Peaceful retreat close to town

  • 5 of 5

Eight of us including a toddler and a two-month enjoyed the comfort of this home for weekend wedding. It was the perfect location with an easy walk to town. The house is clean and comfortable and the views are wonderful. We were able to enjoy entertaining other family using the grill and the amply stocked kitchen. The owner was very responsive throughout the reservation process. The location was perfect with a beautiful views. There was even a bird nest on the back porch complete with baby birds. Loved it! We wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful house, beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

A few girlfriends and I stayed in this house for a reunion "girls weekend." The pictures do not do this house justice - it is absolutely gorgeous. Exactly what you'd picture a house in the Adirondacks to look like. More than that, however, the owner was very easy to work with. The last morning of our stay we lost power, and I called to tell him. He was very easy to reach, told us not to worry, and take our time getting out of the house. He lives right near the house himself, and said he could make himself available to come up if we needed him to. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place for a wedding weekend

  • 5 of 5

My nephew got married at the Sagamore resort and although it would have been great to stay on the premises, the family needed a more affordable option. This cottage was the answer. Three bedrooms with double beds in each, and a large loft area with two double beds and couches for relaxing, gave us plenty of room to spread out. Although it would have been nice to have one more bathroom, we made due. There was enough hot water for us all. One suggestion....the pillow was not what I am used to but I managed. Oh....the weekend was unusually hot (90 plus degrees with humidity). So the window air conditioners in the BRs, and the living area was very nice to have - and rely on.

The place is tucked away in the woods a bit with two separate entrances. One is up a fairly steep unpaved drive. Admittedly, it felt a little spooky driving into the place when we arrived late at night. The other entrance further up the road a bit, is paved driveway and easier to maneuver in and out. I would suggest using it - especially if you arrive when the sun has gone down.

Overall, I/we all gave it a thumbs up. It was as advertised. It was convenient to town (we took walks to town and even to the Sagamore resort although - for some - I can imagine that the hill back to the house might be a challenge). It had all the amenities to prepare meals and enjoy each others company. The view off the back porch is spectacular. Is it a 5 star resort? No, but for the price and what it provided us, it was perfect.

Perfect winter weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The house was even more lovely than the pictures on the web sight. We could sit on tge couch and look out the sliding doors and see the mountains and some of the lake. Very pretty.

There was plenty of room and there was everything you could need. The house was spotless.

One block down into the town of Bolton which during summer would be very convinent.

We will be back!
