Imagine a sunny cottage with Canandaigua Lake right in front and a private golf course in back. You’re secluded in a park-like setting, yet within walking distance of the Finger Lakes’ best attractions.
You’ve discovered the perfect place to vacation because it has the most sunshine, longest sunsets and easiest access anywhere on Canandaigua Lake. This convenient location earned the lake’s highest Walk Score – so however you explore, you’ll drive less and relax more!
There’s nothing between you and the lake but cool grass beneath your feet. This cottage is on the lakeside of a private cul-de-sac. Out front, the fully fenced level lakefront lawn offers a secure area to play games or roast s’mores by the firepit.
The sitting platform at the end of the dock offers a panoramic view over the entire lake, beyond the Bristol Hills, 25 miles south to the windmills above Naples – now that’s a big sky!
2 FREE kayaks beckon you to explore Canandaigua Lake and 6 lakefront parks. Launch your own boat nearby and use our mooring buoy and light hoist. Lake depth starts at 2 to 4 feet, warming the lake to 82 degrees.
Because lakeside living means outdoors, the deck has plenty of seating, 2 umbrella tables, and a Weber grill with FREE propane. Picture your birthday, anniversary, or family dinner with a glorious sunset over the shimmering lake. Dine outside as late as 9 or 10 pm – so fire up the grill and take another swim!
July 4th offers front-row seats to Canandaigua’s fabulous fireworks, launched from a barge anchored right in front of you. Feel each blast as pyrotechnics paint the sky – a memorable celebration!
The versatile sun porch has a farm table that also makes a handy serving station. Plush furniture overlooking the lake invites morning coffee, afternoon naps or evening card games.
Inside, vintage details like heart-pine flooring, huge French windows and a stone fireplace add authentic cottage charm. Local artwork creates a nostalgic sense of place and time – simple and relaxing!
The well-equipped kitchen has a Bosch dishwasher, making cleanup quick and easy. A high efficiency Miele clothes washer and dryer lets you pack light. Public water/sewer means no hassles!
Each guest sleeps like royalty! Rare for vacation rentals, this 4-bedroom cottage has 3 King-size beds (with comfy King-size pillows) and a Twin over Full Bunk. FREE linens and plush bath towels included.
Recent upgrades include central air-conditioning powered by a Nest thermostat, FREE WiFi, and remodeled 1.5 bathrooms. 3 flat-screen TVs offer basic Cable, Netflix, DVDs, and Smart technology.
You’ll love this convenient location. A paved cul-de-sac meanders along the beautiful golf course behind the cottage. Its 10-mph speed limit offers safe walking and connects you to a network of romantic lakefront parks.

Canandaigua Lake is amazing. We know because we met on a local ski chairlift – a lucky pairing of a Canandaigua native and a Dutch woman from Amsterdam. This cottage let our 3 active children enjoy their first taste of freedom on the water. Our oldest son’s summer job was launching city fireworks right in front of the cottage. His sister and brother shared fun adventures like kayaking to Wegmans for groceries. Since we live just up the hill on Canandaigua’s Main Street, the cottage is well maintained and clean (Dutch people are “clean freaks”). And because you’re dealing directly with the owners – not a management company - you save hundreds of dollars and avoid hidden surprises like “reservation” fees.
Else Reed purchased this cottage in 2012
The founders of the Canandaigua Country Club knew a good thing when they saw it: an old farm on the northeast shoreline offered the perfect combination of full sun, level lawn, and convenient access. To finance a golf course, in the 1920s they sold 40 lakefront lots for just $600 each. This cottage stands on the site of an icehouse, where farmers stored ice cut from the lake. Today, this exclusive neighborhood is the most desirable part of the lake - when you’re here, you’ll understand why. Since only a few original cottages remain, and this was the largest of the originals, we preserved its authentic character. Huge French windows invite sunshine and lake views. Heart-pine floors and a stone fireplace warm the soul. We carefully added updates like central air-conditioning and WiFi. You’ll love Fallbrook Cove’s convenient location. Because everything you need is nearby, you’re always near Canandaigua Lake. Especially during summer, where else should you be, but lakeside, with your family?
“Sunny, secluded and walkable” summarizes this prime location. As one neighbor - still active in his 90s - explained, “It’s like a vacation here everyday!” You’ll enjoy the most sun (4 hours more than the west lake side) and best sunsets anywhere on Canandaigua Lake. Fallbrook Cove has the highest “Walk Score” anywhere on the lake, so you can walk everywhere. Best of all, there’s no road to cross to get to the water. We love the cottage and care about making our guests feel comfortable. You’ll sleep like royalty because this cottage has 3 luxurious King-size beds and a Twin over Full Bunk. FREE kayaks, propane, linens, towels, WIFI, Cable TV, and Netflix will save you money. Because our neighborhood has no sales tax or occupancy tax, you’ll save even more.
We had a wonderful week at this beautiful, clean home. There was plenty of space for our family of 6, including 4 adult children. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of seating for us to eat together in the dining room, in the sunroom, or outside. We all slept great on the comfortable beds and were provided with high-quality linens and towels. The sunroom was an added bonus - we would sit there in the morning to drink our coffee or enjoy an afternoon nap on the comfy couch! We all had fun exploring the lake on the kayaks, especially in the evening when the water was so still. We brought inflatable tubes and spent everyday floating and swimming in the warm water. Every night, I took way too many photos of the AMAZING sunsets and then enjoyed sitting around a bonfire with the family. We rented a pontoon boat and tube for a day and were able to drive the boat right up to the dock to load and unload. The location of this property is ideal – on a quiet street across from a golf course and walking distance to Wegmans, restaurants, Scoops (ice cream!), and lovely Kershaw Park. The owners were highly responsive and even texted several times throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this property to any family wanting an idyllic vacation on an amazing lake!
This was our second time to rent on the lake and we loved this home. It was so convenient for grocery shopping, eating out or walking to the park. We loved how clean and nice the back yard furniture was and spent most of our time there. The owner lives close by and is available should you have a problem. We didn't. We enjoyed the home and will rent it again.
Our stay in this beautiful home and on this amazing lake was much more than I anticipated. The home is so comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to entertain and cook your meals. The beds were very comfortable and there's more than enough space in each bedroom. The owner was in contact with us throughout the week to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed the kayaks everyday and loved swimming off of the dock. It's located on a beautiful, quiet street that we walked daily. It's located close enough to town to walk which was a great plus. We are already talking about booking this place for next year...same time, same place! Loved this property...
Our family had the most wonderful week long stay! The house was perfect for our busy family including three small grandsons! Very safe and private inside and out with a fenced in yard that kept us all contained!
The house and grounds were immaculate but extremely comfortable! The owners obviously take great care and love this property as it shows! We would happily rent this lovely property again!
Our host welcomed us on our arrival and explained the ins/outs of the house and the area. They reached out to us several times during the week to see if we needed anything, it was very reassuring. The location of the home is perfect and the views of the lake are just breath-taking. The house was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was stocked with every pot or pan you could imagine needing. It is difficult to plan a vacation with teenagers/young adult children and make every one happy. The house had plenty of room for 7 adults to spread out and relax. The kids kept busy with kayaking, fishing and hiking. Everywhere you might want to go was within walking distance. This place is a real gem and we can't wait to plan another family vacation at Canandaigua Lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was so well stocked, anything we needed was available. Everything was so clean, and in such great condition, we loved the large deck with enough chairs for
all 6 of us. The owner was always available for any questions or concerns
The 2 kayaks were enjoyed by all. The sunsets were amazing.
The cottage was in a very convenient location, close to Wegmans, I would definitely recommend this property.
