I always dreamed of owning my own mountain cabin, and here it is for all to enjoy. A little about me, I have two grown sons, love hunting for antiques and decorating.
I am also an artist and you will see my handiwork about Acorn Cottage, I also built the dining table with my Dad, found and refinished all the antique chairs around it! All the other vintage and antique furnishings are my finds and I restored all of them as well. Please enjoy!

Incredibly beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, forest and alpine meadows, it looks like Switzerland!
Nearby Skiing, horseback riding, hot tub soaking, bird watching, meeting deer and elk who think Acorn Cottage is their's, dining out, fireplace and the incredible stars at night!
Thank you for such a lovely place to stay during our vacation to the Parelli Savvy Conference. It has been a joy to work with you in the rental. The views were marvelous.
Close to the highway but private enough. It was close to Wolf Creek which is great
We had such a wonderful time at ACORN Cottage, it's the perfect size for a family ski weekend. Pam made us feel very welcome and the house has everything you need. We very much enjoyed the hot tub under the stars after an energetic day of skiing!! We definitely want to stay here again this season!!
After looking & looking for a vacation rental, we ended up at Acorn Cottage and I can't tell you how thankful we are for choosing it! It is in a quiet little neighborhood right on the outskirts of Pagosa Springs. Quick access to everything, yet far enough out to see wildlife. We saw a considerable amount of elk and mule deer. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly need or want, plus some. The internet went down (town wide) during our stay & Pam was great about keeping us posted as to its expected return. If you have a chance to visit during the fall, please do! The colors are absolutely amazing!
My husband and I stayed a couple nights and LOVED IT! All the comforts of home and decorated to the nines! Pam was easy to communicate with: phone/email/text, and pleasant to talk to. The first night we sat in the hot tub and watched lightning over the mountains. Mule deer walked right up in the yard. Watched movies and it was a close trip to town for dinner. I highly recommend this cottage for your next stay! It was just me and my husband but plenty of room for more! Next time I'm in the area, I will be sure to book this place!
We love going to Colorado during the summer months to escape the Texas heat. Pagosa springs was a nice fit for our family of five with a new little one onboard. Acorn cottage is located in a small neighborhood a short drive from the city center of pagosa springs. Our stay was great and relaxing. House is perfect for a family of four or five. Everything was clean and cozy. Hottub was awesome plus. Internet and Netflix access was a nice addition. There's some minor highway noise in the distance that can be heard with windows open, but nothing extreme. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
The pictures of the cabin are very accurate. It is clean , well maintained and decorated throughout. When we first arrived, I was concerned about the location because it is on the outskirts of Pagosa Springs but it was actually great. It was relatively close to everything we wanted to do but still had the cabin in the woods feel. The kitchen appeared to have everything you would need, if you wanted to cook and there is a gas grill. We did not want to cook so we did not use either. There is also a hot tub , but we did not use it either. There is wi-fi and Netflix but no television channel access. My only disappointment was with the sheets, they were not my idea of "luxury linens" , however, they were not a deal breaker . The towels were very nice.
Pamela, the owner, is great to work with. She is very responsive to questions and goes above and beyond to ensure her guest are happy.
The cabin worked out very well for us. I highly recommend it to most people. My only reservation would be is both bedrooms are upstairs and the staircase is a narrow , open spiral staircase, which would be difficult for a widely built person to navigate and a safety concern with a small child. We had no problems with it but I could see that a few could. There is a bathroom with shower on both floors, so that was nice.
Our stay was early August , adult couple.
