About Eric Lowe

Eric and Joan own and manage Sand Piper. They both teach college classes. Both consider themselves life long educators and enjoy the change of pace that managing vacation homes brings. The wonderful people they meet through their rentals and providing guests with a special place to enjoy are two or their favorite aspects.

Why Eric Lowe chose Coastal Oregon

This home is so beautiful with a newly fully remodeled interior and we knew how our guests would also enjoy this place. We love the fireplaces, the river view, and the quiet neighborhood.

What makes this house unique

The very large living room we knew would be beneficial for large groups to gather, the granite counter tops with wine bar, and the deck facing the river, and the fire pit are great assets that all guests can enjoy.

70's Pacific Surfboard Reunion

Several old friends were reuniting in Seaside and six of us chose to stay here. It was perfect for three couples and one small dog. The kitchen was well equipped and we also used the barbeque. Lots of outdoor chairs and a table. We had two outdoor fires using the pit that sits inside the home's patio next to the river; so enjoyed sipping our morning coffee and watching the birds, and also chatting with friends in the evening sipping our wine and reminiscing.

The house is clean, comfortable and well maintained; each room offered a queen bed with nice linens. We walked to the beach and nearby restaurants and golf. Easy short trips to the Safeway by car; we also rode our bikes (not supplied) to the outlet mall.

The owners were available by text and email for any questions. I would stay here again.

Out of the many homes we've stayed in while in the Northwest, this property stands out.

The size was perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen met all our needs; the living area arrangement couldn’t be more conducive for our large group; the beds were soooo comfy after a long day at the beach; we had plenty of hot water for showers. We were sorry the weather didn’t cooperate for time around the fire pit or to grill outside, but we did spy three otters and a beaver each morning near the river at the edge of the property. We spent many laughter-filled hours around the kitchen table playing board games and reconnecting after being apart for a year. Our hope that we would have uninterrupted time with our Peace Corps grandson and his wife was fully satisfied!

A short walk took us to the beach; town was also within walking distance - about a mile away from the heart of town. While the highway can be congested, taking a back route to Safeway for groceries or just avoiding the drag during the day worked just fine. With the home being on the south end of town, our trips into Cannon Beach, Hug Point, and other seaside beaches down the coast meant we didn't have to sit in traffic during busy hours.

The owners gave us a quick call to make sure everything was up to par and to let us know they'd drop by to take care of watering and trash pic-up, but we never saw them. Our privacy was respected.

Extremely clean, well appointed and quiet.

This property was just a couple blocks from easy access to the beach. Located in a very clean, safe and quiet neighborhood. House is located on the river with a wonderful and large fenced yard with a fire pit. Lots of seating in living room and dining. (We had six) Bedrooms were nice size and very comfortable beds. Even with my bad back I slept comfortably. Kitchen was well appointed and has everything you will need. There is even a washer and dryer to use. I would stongly recommend this home for families or girls weekend.

Very nice home, just wished the backyard had a fence. We did do some cleaning before leaving but found some items underneath the bed in the master bedroom that did not belong to us. I think the housekeeping people need to be concerned about cleaning underneath the beds. Also, furniture needs to moved in order to clean underneath. It looked like the house had been a surface cleaning job.

Hopefully, VRBO will get my refund for only staying June 25-28, 2016. We did checkout early on the 28th, so it shouldn't have been a problem for housekeeping.

Thank you for lending us your home and I would recommend it to other friends and family.

Very nice property-- well furnished, comfortable, and clean.

If you don't need to stay ocean-front, this is a very nice rental no more than a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, 15 minutes to downtown shops. We found the place very clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. Well worth the price, also.

The best thing to do in Seaside is to visit the beach. With a couple miles of the promenade along the beach front, you can walk and never have your feet touch the sand. Biking is amazing in Seaside, since it is flat and everything is close.
