This is my family home where Ken grew up. My family and I have lovingly restored the property and upgraded many elements. Throughout the years the things that have remained constant are the river and the beautiful surroundings.
Ken Jones purchased this farmhouse in 1960
This is a very special property dating back to the the early 1900's. It has been used as a lodge and retreat over the years. Come explore and fall in love with the simplicity of a time gone by.
The main house has a gourmet kitchen. Both homes have wireless internet access. Stay in touch, or not!
I would highly recommend spending time at El Ranch Peqeuno. Slow down and take it all in. Blue Skys overhead and the Big Laramie River flowing by, whether over coffee at the break of day or enjoying a cold one after a solid day of fishing. This place is an escape from the distractions of day to day life. Trails to explore and more stars in the evening sky then you can comprehend.
The main house has plenty of room, a modern kitchen and a great fireplace. The view of the river is constant and always calling you back in.
Ken and Leslie are kind and very knowledgeable with this beautiful part of Wyoming.
They introduced us to a local fishing guide for our time spent on the river and to the folks who run the near by observatory.
I am grateful for every visit here, see you again in the Spring...
My family has stayed at El Rancho Pequeno twice. It has a beautifully appointed lodge and guest accomodations. There is a large kitchen and dining area that opens to the living area and patio. This is a great set up for family events and weddings. The patio and fire pit are great and include a bar b q grill. The view of the river from the front windows and patio is stunning. I highly recommend this house for a peaceful retreat from the busy life.
We spent a long Labor Day weekend here and enjoyed every minute. Our 14 year old grandson had a great time fishing on the Big Laramie with a guide recommended by Ken and Leslie. We hiked, explored the logging dirt roads, and fell in love with the vast blue sky of Wyoming. We'll be back.
The property was well kept and in good repair. We had a group of guys together for a "bachelors retreat" in preparation for my brothers upcoming wedding. Access to the river is second to none. It was great to hit the river at a moments notice to see if the fish were biting. We had good luck on copper johns and hot head leach fly patterns and a small gold kastmaster spinner. The fishing was technical and required persistence, but proved to be rewarding for the dedicated. Many members of our group (including myself) were already discussing a return trip in the future. Thank you
A charming and supremely comfortable home with the Big Laramie River, jumping with trout, running through the front yard…it doesn’t get any better than this! Thank you Ken and Leslie for creating a most memorable stay at your slice of heaven.

a few years have gone by but looking at the pics evoked wonderful memories. I could see Aunt Jean in the kitchen talking to my mother. I fondly recall Troy Jones in that living room in front of the fireplace and the story about the rocks that adorn the face of it. The bunkhouse was our honeymoon stop and we enjoyed the sights, sounds, the river, the clean air, and the ambient history that you can sense and almost hear speaking from the hills and ground beneath your feet.. I used my daughters birthday for the date, but the owners know the actual...
