This is a perfect place for families. The lakefront, shopping, golf, Safeway, bars, and restaurants are all walkable from the front door. (about a 5 minute walk). Once you get there, you won't really have to drive anywhere.

The location was a key factor when I bought my home, as I want my guest be able to not have to drive, once they arrive.

This a great to place to unwind with a glass of wine or cold beer/cocktail. You can literally walk to everything and won't need to get back in to the car until you check out. There are plenty of restaurants with great food and live music nearby.
The house is located on a quiet street with a large deck for entertaining and dinners. All the furniture is in like new condition as well as parts of the house being freshly painted.
We had a great stay at this house over the 4th of July. A fantastic patio for drinks/BBQ/fireworks watching and a nice easy walk to downtown Tahoe City/the Commons.
What a great place! I would highly recommend this cabin, to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in North Tahoe. The cabin is comfortable, clean, well stocked, and extremely convenient. Even in the snow, it was so nice to walk to Tahoe City for dinner and shopping. We also spent 3 days skiing, and the commute to Squaw and Alpine, even with some holiday traffic, was never more than 15 minutes. After skiing each day, our kids would either sled (literally across the street), or jump in the hot tub. They were also fans of the amenities in the game room! And Matt's accessibility was perfect, easy to get ahold of, great communication through the whole process. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to for a Tahoe trip, in any season of the year. Thanks again Matt for a fantastic trip!
We truly enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The home is located in Tahoe City, and you can get around great just walking. It is well-equipped, and the owner is accommodating and eager to please. We loved the large upstairs deck, and had our breakfast there and our snacks and wine in the evening. It is a slice of heaven.
Communication with Matt was quick and easy. Cabin is EXTREMELY well stocked, especially in the kitchen, including tons of spices, small kitchen appliances, tea, coffee filters, condiments, you name it. Made it super easy and convenient (and cost effective!) to cook meals. Nice linens, comfy beds, and games games games! This was a pretty snow-less but quite cold Christmas, and the cabin was very warm and tremendously well insulated. Very convenient walk to the heart of Tahoe City, can't beat the location. The deck is a killer spot for enjoying the amazing outdoors and we really look forward to coming back in the summer for some lake-view cocktails! HIGHLY recommend this place, thank you Matt!
This house was made for renters. It's fully stocked with everything you'd need -- we never went wanting for anything. An easy walk down the hill to the main drag of Tahoe City. Lots of fun stuff for the kids to play with (Wii, electric piano, pool table, foosball, board games). Kitchen supplies galore. 4 kids (ages 12, 11, 8 and 7) slept comfortably in the 3rd bedroom...3 in a bunk bed and one on a provided Aero-bed.
Hot tub works great. Owner Matt is easy to deal with, friendly and accommodating. We'd definitely return!
My wife and 2 friends stayed here for the weekend--it was a well maintained house with a WELL stocked kitchen. Pics are ver accurate. We stayed in the queen room on the first floor-- super compfy bed!! There are humidifiers throughout the house if you need them. A huge amount of space both inside and on the deck.
There is a list of things to do before leaving on the fridge which was insanely helpful for us.... no running about asking if someone moved the deck furniture and where did it come from.
Easy walk to town.... 5 minutes walking slowly-- road kicks you out at Commons Beach/Fat Cat Bar/ Peppermill. If you don't know Tahoe City... it is a great location... and you don't want to drive on busy weekends if you are grabbing brunch... main road gets congested and parking can be difficult!
Owner was very nice and super responsive to the questions that we had before our arrival. Hot tub was super clean--I have a friend who has a hot tub and is very cautious of them--he loved it.
I would definitely rent this place again.
There's a great wine shop called Uncorked (next to the cinema), that's a short walk from the house. They offer tastings and have a very good selection. You can also rent bikes, boats, jetskis, kayaks etc, right at the pier downtown.
