About Jan Ahrens

While our primary residence is in Iowa City, Iowa, this town house is our personal home-away-from-home that allows us to be near our Seattle-based children and grandchild. We may live in Iowa but we kayak and hike, bike and explore the Northwest from our Seattle base!

Jan Ahrens purchased this townhome in 2011

Why Jan Ahrens chose Central

We love Seattle and all it has to offer...a seemingly endless list of things to do in the city, and within day-trip range of the Cascades (including Mount Rainier) and the Olympic Range. This locale affords easy access to mass transit & freeways to get us where we want to be quickly.

This property is very well maintained and spacious with lots of amenities - pride of ownership is apparent throughout. The owners were very helpful and considerate of our needs and responded in timely manner to our inquiries. We have no problem in recommending a stay at their facility.

An awesome experience

  • 5 of 5

This is a very well maintained and thoughtful property. Accommodations exceed what one would expect even if you were using your timeshare. We greatly appreciated the care that was taken to stock the unit with basic supplies we originally anticipated on purchasing during our stay. To top it off I realized I left a small pair of gold earrings behind weeks after our stay during the Christmas/ New Years Holiday...and they were located. It is so comforting to know that people of integrity still exist. Bottom line: this is a wonderful property and the owner is absolutely great to work with.

A "Five Star" Property

  • 5 of 5

The house is very spacious and clean with a nice floor plan, very comfortable for two couples. The house is nicely furnished including washer, dryer and kitchen appliances. The property is centrally located with easy access to freeways or downtown Seattle. Parking on the street was readily available and convenient. The owner was very proactive and provided explicit directions to locate and access the property. We enjoyed our visit to the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island and the Museum of History and Industry. We would definitely stay at this house again or recommend this property to friends.

The house was everything we needed and plenty of room for our group of 7. It was great to come back to the house and relax after our busy days. The house is very clean and stocked! There is easy access to the highways and close to downtown Seattle. Working with the owner was great. Jan was always an email away to answer any questions we had. I would definitely stay at this house again! We enjoyed Seattle and everything the city had to offer.

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

My entire family of 7 (one child) stayed in this house for a week and it easily accommodated us. The house is nicely located to get on and off of major roads. It is also easy to get to downtown without having to get on the busy interstate. Everything we needed was in this house and everything was VERY clean. Owner was very responsive to questions before and during our stay. We would highly recommend and would stay again if in Seattle. Thank you!

Spectacular Seattle Home

  • 5 of 5

This house was simply perfect. It is ideally located near all the hotspots of Seattle. It was beautifully decorated and had absolutely everything you could possibly need. Our party included 4 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of room as the house was wonderfully spacious. I would absolutely stay here again!
