Mountain Family Time

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin was perfect for our multifamily vacation. Upon arriving, our 2 year old grandson delighted at seeing what he called the Lone Ranger statue! We found the Cabin comfortable for our group of 14 giving each family enough space and privacy on the 3 floors with the grandchildren loving the bonus loft! The upper floor did get warm due to July temperatures in the 85 range, but the fans helped cool the space down quickly. Sitting out on the decks surrounding the cabin was pleasant and cool with beautiful views--- a perfect space for relaxing after our days of hiking or jeeping. Adding a table for eating outside would make it better yet! Everything that we needed to cook or grill was provided down to a pantry well stocked with spices. Lisa was great to work with as were the on-site managers. Quiet and private made the Cabin perfect for us! We all enjoyed our stay here.

Something for everyone

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very spacious with areas for movies, reading, playing games, feeding chipmunks, making s'mores, grilling, and cooking. The large pantry was great for storage and was even supplied with things I had forgotten to bring. The grocery store in Angle Fire has everything--fishing license and equipment, fresh produce and everything a large grocery store has at home. I loved the special decorative features in the house: the wagon wheel imbedded in the wall of the patio and the floor in the lower kitchen and TV room that has horse shoes and pieces of pottery in the mortar. I'm hoping to use that idea in a patio we are adding to an old house we are restoring.

My only suggestion, for the benefit of those who use the cabin in the summer time, is to add screens to the 3-4 windows that don't have them and to put a screen door on the lower master bed room that exits to the patio.

We had a great time. It was a family vacation of three families, ages 4-73. We hope to come again.

Excellent long weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This place and property is just awesome! We split the cabin among 3 couples and each couple had their own room/bathroom and honestly we could have easily added 2 more couples and still had plenty of room. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook in the cabin. The location was perfect! Our guys were a short drive away from Cimarron canyon fishing and Angel Fire was 15mins away, they have a good little grocery store and we also played golf at the beautiful Angel Fire Resort. Red River is a short 20 min drive. Eagle Nest is about a 5 minute drive and has a great little restaurant and saloon. In the evening you can sit on the deck at the cabin and watch the Elk come down and the morning coffee on the deck view is oh so amazing! My husband walked the property and said it was just beautiful. The fire pit down by the creek was awesome; we sat by the fire and enjoyed the stars one night. Peri looks after the cabin and cleans the property; she had it in tip top shape and was so helpful upon arrival. Lisa was easy to work with and was prompt to answer any booking questions or concerns. If you are looking for a place away from the business of town this is your place! We are already discussing going back in August for more golf and fishing.

PERFECT for a small wedding!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was PERFECT for our small wedding!!! I would highly recommend using this for a small intimate wedding. We had the ceremony in front of the fireplace then went into the sunroom for the champagne toast and cake cutting then had the meal catered in the downstairs kitchen (I also had a hot chocolate bar in there). The round glass table was perfect for the cake! There were enough rooms so that each family had their own room and bathroom and everyone had their own space. The pictures were gorgeous - lots of beautiful places around the cabin.

We had a little leak in the downstairs bathroom ceiling - Peri and her husband were there quickly to check it out. Lisa was wonderful to work with; she answered all of my questions very quickly. They are all delightful people.

I can't say enough good things about the cabin and the people that we dealt with. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Winter Wonderland

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent Christmas at this wonderful property. The large picture windows provided a fabulous view of the snow falling on the beautiful landscape that surrounds this house. We had 11 adults and 2 children and all were very comfortable. The nice kitchen was large enough for all the cooks to be working there at the same time. Several neat gathering spots, inside and out, provided plenty of room for a variety of activities- Card games, jigsaw puzzle, roaring fire in the outdoor fireplace, S'mores, snowmen, and snowball fights.....a Christmas we'll always remember. Onsite property managers were just a phone call away to answer questions. Would love to see this beautiful property in the spring.
