Overview

Taos House Rental Photos and Description

2000 sq.ft adobe w/2 bdrms and 2 baths -sleeps 4 + 1000 sq.ft casita - sleeps 2

What comes to mind with the words 'New Mexico' ....'gorgeous skies'? ....and 'Taos'?...... Maybe: open space , sun and light , color , inspiration YES!!! All of the above...... and much more. All can be enjoyed from our home - both indoors and out.

Our 3000 sq. ft home is made up of 2 units: the first one is our main home (2000 sq. ft.) which has a large master bedroom (king-size bed) with full attached bath and cozy kiva fireplace; a second bedroom/study with a single bed/couch (a trundle bed that makes up into 2 twins or converts to a king-size bed) with attached bath and separate shower, and a large open space -kitchen/dining/livingroom w/another woodburning kiva fireplace. There is also an attached sunroom w/passive solar heating to enjoy a sunny winter day at home. During summer and Fall, you'll probably always spend you time out doors - either enjoying the many outdoor activities that Taos has to offer (although close to town, we're right on the edge of Taos canyon for some great hikes), or just enjoying a barbeque on the 'portal' or sunset margaritas in the gazebo.

The second unit is a 1000 sq. ft casita - one bedroom, bath, kichen and living/dining room with it's own private courtyard.

Relaxing and a great getaway

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay, very roomy and relaxing. A price of quietness yet close to everything you need. My wife, son and I had a fantastic weekend here and we will definitely come back. Very nice rooms and sunroom. I'd give it 5 stars but the only thing we didn't like was the feeling of being rushed due to the housekeeper being outside 45 minutes before check out waiting for us to go. Other than that a fantastic place to get away too. Thanks for the stay

A beautiful home in quiet surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

We rented this beautiful home for a couple of weeks in July. A very quiet place where hummingbirds and many kind of birds sing and nest. Despite the cool air and a regular afternoon rain, we could enjoy the outdoors most of the time and visited valleys and mountains as much as we could, played golf and took advantage of some wonderful restaurants. Gloria the owner has been extremely nice and provided us with everything, even zero gravity chairs to rest outdoors.

The house is very large and quite comfortable. It was a treat to be able to live with open doors and windows coming from 105F in Scottsdale Arizona.

We warmly recommend this place.

Quiet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us Gloria - especially in celebrating our 30th anniversary! It was indeed very special!! Your house, the area, & Taos itself fed our souls in a most delightful way! The pictures you have on VRBO looked great - but the house itself is so much better!!! We love the woodwork, sunroom, & portal areas. There is just a wonderful peacefulness about the place. We even got to experience a real soaking rainstorm last night. It will be hard to leave here as we really enjoyed everything! Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home!!

Our Taos Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We were a bit skeptical as we followed directions to the house, thinking we were going to be surrounded by other homes and people, but geez, we couldn't have been more wrong and SO surprised! A fantastic home and while very close to neighbors, SO very secluded! The home is gorgeous with so many unique touches, the kitchen is perfect....and yes, that kitchen got a work-out! The bedroom is huge with a very comfortable bed. Lots of towels, the ability to do laundry, a grill and furniture on the porch to be able to eat out...The kiva fireplaces are wonderful....and there was plenty of firewood available. We honestly hated to leave. My husband and I both agreed that this could be a lifetime house for us. Now we're on a mission.....

Absolutely Fabulous on ALL levels!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a beautiful home and surroundings that provide you with a sense of relaxation, serenity and nostalgia, this is the location! We enjoyed several days recently and loved every second! The home is stunning and the views breathtaking! I recommend either having coffee or, an afternoon refreshment in the gazebo which looks across the property and into the mountains. Also, one of my favorite parts was listening to nature live all around us. AND, if you look closely within the house, several of the tiles have little paw prints ensuring you are in a home of warmth and welcome!

Wonderful house - delightful stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the house a great deal. It’s a wonderful, open floor plan and we immediately felt very comfortable there. We cooked two of the three nights we were there, and felt right at home, as the kitchen was so well equipped and we could do everything with ease. We especially enjoyed the quiet and peace of the surroundings of the house, and particularly enjoyed sitting under the portico watching the beautiful sunsets. The weather was so comfortable. The house was just charming, and extraordinarily comfortable. We were sad to leave, and vowed to return again and perhaps spend a few more nights next time. As you know, there is so much to do in the area.
