Lake View 3 Bedroom House with Small, Detached, Guest House, Boat*

This is a great house for families and friends who want to enjoy a great view and never have to leave the house to have fun. There is a private pool and hot tub on site and a fantastic view of Lake Travis. The pictures really don't do the place any justice. You'll just have to see it to believe it. Perched high above the main basin of Lake Travis, the Little Lanai is a perfect spot to get away from it all, or be near the lake and still be close to Austin. Downtown is a mere 25 mins away(without traffic).

This house is located within a neighborhood with neighbors on all sides. If you are looking for a party house, this may not be the house for you as the neighbors are quick to call the police after 10:30pm. If you are good with moving your party inside, then this is a great house. Also, maximum occupancy at all times is 10 people.

*To make your stay even more wonderful, we offer chef services, a masseuse who will come out to the house, AND for an extra $150/hour, we'll take you out on our boat. (2 hr min) RSVPs for boat must be made at least 1 week in advance in the summer.

This house was amazing and the pictures don’t do this property justice. Sheila made the whole trip. She is amazing and so kind and welcoming. Keith was always there to answer our questions we had or suggestions. Love this place!

Gorgeous view, gorgeous pool, close to town.

My whole family of 8 people took over the house for the weekend for my sister’s 40th. there were enough beds for everyone, plenty of space to spread out. The pool is fantastic, the view is what we came for and there was plenty of it.

Great house! Beautiful views!! Nice size pool!! Shady decks for hanging out!

I rented this house for a family vacation. With two children and two dogs, we planned to stay in all week, relaxing and playing in the pool. The only suggestion I have for the owners is to let guests know that the pool will be unavailable Thursday afternoon, for cleaning and maintenance. We worked around it, but it would’ve been nice to know beforehand.

Otherwise, we had a great time in a beautiful home. I would highly recommend this rental!!

Very comfortable. The house could sleep 10 if two of them are children. We were 9 adults so one was on the sleeper sofa in the living room. That bed needed the extra twin mattress that was provided in the master closet. It was pretty uncomfortable without it. Having said that, I as glad it was advertised as a 10 sleeper or we would not have rented it. We LOVED the house.😊?

Could have been better!

Despite all the good reviews previously noted I have to say my stay was not all that great. For starters, the hot tub didn’t work but it was fixed the day before I left; however, I was not able to take advantage of that and the pool deck was not cleaned and there were weeds galore down the stairs to the pool. The kitchen lights kept overheating and shutting themselves on and off which is not very safe at all and then to top it off the breaker kept tripping in one of main upstairs bedrooms making it very inconvenient when you have three women trying to get ready at the same time all upstairs. Even after turning the breaker off then back on it kept continuing to go off. This again in not very safe at all. The cookware in the kitchen was extremely dirty and greasy, we had to wash and scrub everything before using it. And finally, the cable in the guest house was out more than it was on, the cable box kept reconnecting; therefore limiting tv watch time.

Owner's Response: I'm glad Jeff mentioned all of the other positive reviews that we have(34) because they tell a much better story than this one, but let's address these issues one by one. 1) Hot Tub - I found about the Hot Tub at 10pm the first night of their stay. I came by first thing the next morning to make sure it wasn't any of the common issues. Once I determined it was not a simple fix, I called the repair person and they were out the next morning to fix it. Yes, this was the day of their departure and had they expressed their dissatisfaction with me directly, I would have been happy to offer a refund of some sort. 2) pool deck was not cleaned - We have been on top of this all spring. 1hr after you sweep it, there are fallen flowers and other springtime stuff on the deck. It will never be perfect this time of year. At least for any length of time. Sorry. 3) weeds galore down the stairs to the pool - I agree that this was an issue. Our yard guy had not been there for two weeks and again, since it was springtime, it had quickly grown over. That guy has now been replaced and the new guy was out the day they checked out. 4) kitchen lights kept overheating and shutting themselves on and off - the last handyman we had over had put 100-watt bulbs in the kitchen which caused them to overheat and turn off. Those have now been replaced with lower wattage bulbs and solved the problem. I argue that this was NOT a safety issue b/c they DID turn off. If they had not, THAT would have been a safety issue. 5) breaker kept tripping in the upstairs bedrooms. - Replacing the bulbs in the kitchen took care of this problem. If Jeff had let me know about this issue during their stay, I could have easily corrected it, as I have now. The fix took 10 mins. 6) The cookware in the kitchen was extremely dirty and greasy - My wife is the one that cleaned the house prior to their stay. I KNOW that she did not leave any dirty dishes. What may have happened was a prior renter washed their own dishes and put them back in the cabinet. While we try to go through the cabinet periodically to fix issues like this, we cannot guarantee this won't happen again. 7) the cable in the guest house was out more than it was on- We have not been able to duplicate this issue. In summary, I do not think that Vacation Rentals are for everyone. While we make EVERY effort to make sure your stay is a pleasant one, we cannot compete with a 5-star hotel. Reviews = Good 34 / Bad 1
